Mine was also a store pick, slightly lower proof (about 115) but I was very pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting much given its young age but it's surprisingly complex with a nice mouthfeel

Long-Term Review : It has a lot of potential but is relatively "hot" in my opinion. Worth a try at a bar but probably would NOT buy another bottle this year. I would say the next batch of this would be spot on.

Fresh out the bottle Rare Breed over the Wilderness Trail give it a few weeks the Wilderness Trail starts pull away from the Rare Breed.

I had a store pick a few years ago this bourbon once it opens up is really good.

Thanks for the review on Knob Creek 15. I haven’t had it and probably won’t at that price 😂 I found a bottle of Old Tub at my PA wine and spirits and was happy with it! A nice value and pretty good daily drinker at that price point.

Me myself do not buy VS Cognac.... VSOP or XO.... I will buy XO French Brandy before VS Cognac (ie Raynal of St. Remy).... Hennessy VS is in my opinion the worst buy in Booze due to the everyday price and lack of quality for the $$....

The Medalion had an older blend of cognac and due to high demand in Asia over the last 10-15 years the blending stock thinned out so the new younger blend was developed. I would pick Martel Medalion before Remy, Hennessy, or Courvoisier VSOP's when it was available

I tried this at a bar and I noticed with the exception of Jack Daniels all other Brown Foreman flavor profiles I don’t enjoy. From Woodford reserve Cooperman Crafts old forester etc.

I was just really seriously considering this bottle--now I will definitely buy it soon.
