Off Track with Hinch and Rossi
Приєднався 11 січ 2022
A look into the lives of professional IndyCar drivers, reality television stars, and best friends James Hinchcliffe and Alexander Rossi. Though Hinch and Rossi have seen plenty of success on the track, the show is meant to highlight their off-the-track lives, including their unfiltered opinions on what’s trending in popular culture, with each episode featuring a number of recurring, unscripted segments and an interview with a celebrity guest. Off Track is at its heart a sports show, but Hinch and Rossi are well-versed in popular culture and have experience relating to influential figures across a variety of disciplines. The interviews consist of athletes, artists, and entrepreneurs -- really anyone with a passion for what they do, regardless of what that is.

WHOAH! James isn't unemployed anymore, so to celebrate, his colleagues for the 2025 NTT IndyCar Series coverage on FOX -Will Buxton and Townsend Bell- took some time to talk about what lies ahead for the upcoming season.
Snow Day

Indiana got a ton of snow and Hinch can't keep track of how many episodes we've done this year. The guys talk about the latest news in IndyCar, including MSR's plan to shake up pit stops, changing the length of races, and more.

Conor Daly is back to talk about his deal with JHR, what goes into getting a full time ride, and what kind of pressure he's still facing going into the 2025 season.
Not gonna lie. I OWN the authentic in that same exact color and I STILL got it wrong! And I even use the bag every single day! Only goes to show how damn good these kislux are visually. Now guessing which is the fake by feeling them both in my hands is another story.
ive always wanted to know what its like to sit in on a work meeting for motorsports broadcasting. very interesting conversation
Great interview guys. I'm with Hinch on the Hawksworth/Thompson early season champs favourite.
Super cool to get his perspective on BOP in IMSA. Great ep!
Will is going to be like if you finish first on the last lap that means you are the winner of the race 😂
Man i miss that lad Jack. Love to see him try for a 500 one more time.
Boring, bring back Tracy.
This is awesome! My favorite F1TV broadcasts were always the ones at the end of the year with Will and James together. I always imagined it would be James taking a full-time F1 gig and not the other way around, but hot damn... I'm all here for it. GL gents!
I love Townsend saying "Whoa!". I don't get people not liking it. The race is exciting, and the announcers need to communicate that excitement! It's not golf.
I remember IndyCar at Road America in the early 90s with those 900HP monsters and it was jaw dropping. 205 into Canada Corner was mind bending. The cars were a handful and certain drivers like Tracy, Andretti, Dario, Zinardi would just wring them. Like fighter planes coming at you. You guys know that place and it is just the best with high horsepower coming at you.
Exciting. Happy for Will! Happy for F1 coverage, too! Definitely will miss Hinch on F1 TV!
"ITS AN ILLEGAL STREET RACING MOVIE" lmfao 😂😂😂 hinch is so stereotypically Canadian its hilarious. Dude just loves to acknowledge his loyalty to the queen and lives his life by the rules. Just offended that anyone dare breaks a rule.
Really excited for the future with Fox.
You know what will be cool... Indycar to beat F1 and go to Africa to have a race there. Would be cool to have just like 5 international races - Mexico, Brazil, Africa, 2 in canada (Toronto, Montreal) and crazy would be Australia or NZ - too much to ask I know but would be cool. (I know Mexico is already in the works and Montreal has a great track) (I know toronto is already in the schedule)
Speaking of updating things, the head of Hinch on the top banner in this video shifts from time to time. ps. Love this pod!
Congrats lads. I will miss you terribly, James 😔
Make Indy great again….,
F1 tracks are very photogenic - paint / colors etc - Indy had produced better in car cameras. Indy has been the most competitive, f1 highly predictable.
Unlike nbc - will Indy be free on fox?
Wow - fantastic - will was great on the f1 grid…..Indy really raising the bar -
P.S. - given this date and time…as much as I would have loved to watch the Notre Dame/Ohio State football championship game tonight on FOX Sports…OK, well NOPE! My TV will be turned off tonight! Stick those ‘TV Nielsen ratings’ right up there! 🤡
OK, so as an IndyCar fan since…1964! Personally, I am not so “Fox Fan Boy Hyped” as you all. I realize…it’s in your best interest! When “Peacock” first existed, IndyCar everything was included in my ISP extraction. Then, it was $5/month more and then $8/month…you know’ that Peacock Premium B.S. So, here we are today…Fox Sports…yada-yada-yada! As it stands today, to watch an IndyCar race on FOX, much less any practice sessions, qualifying on FS1or FS2? This will cost me at least…$90-100/month to watch IndyCar where I live? Do you really think viewership will grow? Many IndyCar fans are not six-figure earners! Good luck with that!
Awesome that Will is here🤘🏻🏁
As I said on the main video, I personally love the WOAH'S and OH's it's just an instant adrenaline and dopamine kick to figure out what happened or what is about to happen. :)
FINALLY 🎉 Thank you for this fantastic news we’ve been waiting for! 🥳🙋♀️🇨🇦
Congrats boys! Wil, I’ve been a fan for years, welcome to Indycar and the US
Next year your can add Daly
Hinch, Townsend and Will are going to bring PASSION back to INDYCAR!!!!!!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for bringing PASSION back to Indy Car!!!!!!!!!!! Bringing Will on board is MASSIVE!!!!! Will is one of the best story tellers I've every watched and he will show the world who the drivers are and share with the world why Indy Car is the BEST RACING on the globe! Hinch, Townsend and Will are exactly what Indy Car needs to promote INDY CAR PASSION!!!!! THANK YOU!
What he said! 👆👏
Max got rid of Buxton and Hill...
lol, sure
@Mcard1204 After meltdown when Lando and Max crashed by Buxton and Hill later in season then e everyone praising Max after Brazil sudden exit of Hill and Buxton post championship win...
@ you’re reading way too much into it
@@Mcard1204 Think Liberty and FIA is not happy with British press bias...
@ again, you’re reading way too much into this
I do the WHOOOOAAAAA at home in my living room!
Fox needs to make sure we can watch races on demand after they air. Whenever I use the FOX Sports app it only seems to show what is happening live. You can't go back and see what has happened prior. If not, it would be a huge downgrade from Peacock.
Roll Tide!
Wait, so Will Buxton is no longer covering F1? There goes the coverage on F1TV. Now we're just stuck with the woke squad.
Really hoping Buxton turns into the next Paul Page of IndyCar...
Indycar management. I agree with Townsend. Do not make a fugly quiet car for 2027. Think CART but a little more modern look. I want my hair blown back at races. We need a sexy car that looks like a indycar but with noise!!
Will Buxton is going to hype up Indycar as he is being paid to do that , He who pays the piper.,,,,,,,,,
He's been "hyping up" Indycar for years without getting paid. He's one of the few people in the F1 world who are knowledgeable and honest about how great the racing is in the series.
Lets be honest this wouldnt have been as big of a problem if Cali hadnt been the most mis managed state in the country for decades. You get what you vote for Democrats.
Im glad they brought about how to show more of the victory or afters in the broadcast. I remember when Sato won his second indy 500 they rushed the celebrations and interview so quickly that it felt like they had to leave the track by 5pm as it was being rented out for a kids birthday party afterwards. Something like a post race Teds notebook but Indycar for a Fox Sports or Indycar youtube page would be good (dont disable the video for international viewers) break down the race try and get quick interviews from drivers or team personnel wondering the pits
Was the last startup to bring 2 cars to their first event not Carlin in 2018? And we saw how badly that ended up, so good luck to Prema, they will need it.
I’d really like to hear more about this nose device… Please elaborate - potential game changer!!!
Bring on St Pete!
Doesn't Fox own Sky media? So this is really just a department change?
So great to have you Will and congratulations. Great comment on the podium Townsend. As a regular at Road America I’ve always wondered why the podium experience isn’t better and bigger. They just conquered an incredibly challenging track yet the podium and the celebration is pretty low end. Hopefully Fox will put some money into that part of the show. Will I hope to see you at the Paddock Club or Off the Rail and can say hello. Cheers.
Does Will have any idea what he's getting into?? Looking forward to more arguments and banter!
Adding another comment as someone who has been able to experience the Indianapolis 500 qs both a spectator and track worker as an observer you can hear the crowd when something goes wrong above the sound of the engines...raceday in Indianapolis is amazing!!! As a worker we sometimes can hear the crowd above our headsets...
We need a follow up next episode about what Tim is 3D printing 😅
It's a shame that I can't buy Indycar in my country they should end exclusives, like F1TV did in a lot of countries.
I will be interested as to how Will is going to provide something to races in regards to ovals included as well as street and road courses that he has been used to in regards to having covered Formula 1...what are some thoughts from you guys in regards to bringing bacl some of the other reporters that were involved at the hight of indycar/ cart...as an example Paul Page and Jack Arute...sometimes gave some of the best commentary in the racing at the time....??? Can they possibly pull out of potential retirement retirement and bring them back??? Will made some kind of mention and i think these 2 boys are something that knows much of this paddock in the past can help benefit the future of INDYCAR!!! FOX take a look at past broadcast people aside from who you bring in...2 people that can be great. They were great on another channel and they can become great again on your channel!!!
Sensational lineup! Will is top shelf, and Hinch's contribution to F1 was equally good.
