You and this amazing relationship you have with your wife is not common and it’s beautiful how supportive you are of each other. I’m 49 and my sweet Elizabeth would support this adventure. You’re living a thought while you lay in your bed to go to sleep. So happy for the both of you. You do you, but just don’t push any harder than you know you have the stamina for….you know the “one more lap” that breaks femurs? It’s been easy for me at this age compared to when I was younger to pack it up for the day. Cheers! Wish you both all the love and luck of the world!

@@MahansRacing So you DO struggle with footing as well huh? I saw that and was thinking "maybe he has a short torso and really long legs"...LOL These bikes are getting taller every year!!! It's almost like if you're not at least 5'10", you're gonna struggle touching down.

@ oh yea. The struggle is real lol. And 5-10 is probably perfect. So for now I keep working on my leg strength and balance skills 🤣💪🤦‍♂️

@@brutus6328 Im 5’7 ish also, and have no issue riding. As long as you can reach the pegs you’re good 😆. If you were looking at him on the start then the holeshot device brings the front end down about 4 inches or more so you can reach pretty good. It disengages once you hit a bump or hit the front brake.

@@BrianMcNeill25 I get the whole idea that working on balance and keeping your feet on the pegs is what you mostly should do, maybe I should have been clearer.... I'm not talking just on a track, I don't have many issues on a track either (other than stopping and starting), but when doing trail riding or hare scrambles, there's many times you need to get footing on a very slow turn or if the bike suddenly flames out and now you're not moving etc. I was really talking about riding in general, not just on a track, that's my bad as I should have been clearer. Oh, and forget about trying to do anything technical over rocks or rough terrain where people dab their feet a hundred times as you're always falling to one side or the other and short folks like me have to completely scoot off the seat to one side to save the bike a lot. All I know is this.....I seem to fall more than taller guys who have less skill than I do but they can easily sit on the bike and be flat foot. Of course, the goal is to always be working on balance and technique, either way, it doesn't make my legs any longer! LOL

@@MahansRacing....Well, you should be really proud of yourself.....and he IS a great teacher as he demonstrated patience, enthusiasm, is always positive and didn't overwhelm you which is hard for a teacher not to do. Aside from my current job as a medic in Austin Texas, I have taught guitar for nearly 30 years, and I've learned that teaching requires A LOT of patients, and Pat has that! Again, stellar job!
