    Could use silage bag remnants. Ask a farmer if you can buy a piece. Heavy plastic that's black on one side and white on the other. The white plastic wrapped bales are everywhere now. Just put the white side out and don't bother with the hay / erosion blanket. Fast and cheap.

    There's no way at 150yds that a 30-06 is going to drop that much honestly ... sighted at 50 or even 100 yds it might drop a half inch maybe slightly more... I sight mine in for 2.5 inches high and it only drops around 6 or 7 inches at 300yds... most likely I'd say because she was running and it was a rushed shot you likely aimed low and didn't realize combined with what looked like a slightly dropping angle it affected the trajectory... but you recovered it and that's what matters... congrats on a successful opening day I managed a nice 8pt I've been watching since early Oct on camera first morning at 8 am ... it's always rewarding when you get to put your tag on one wether it be antlers or not .... good luck the rest of the season especially here in pa. 🤙🤙🤙

      @36wvu 9 місяців тому

      So I was kinda guessing the yardage, it may of been a little further but at 150yds 165gr bullet will drop 1 1/4 inches and at 200 yds little over 3 1/2 inches ….. thats a 100 yd zero of course and yes maybe I didn’t realized I aimed a little low but whatever the case I got some luck as well, thanks for watching good luck !

    • @kartracer5g229
      @kartracer5g229 9 місяців тому

      @36wvu from what it looked like the doe was probably 200 or more and with a 165 that may have done it with the angle of shot... either way as you Said you got it done and had some luck and ya can't ask for much more then that

    Man, I hope these heads work for you. Sorry to say but my friend shot a very nice 8 point and it didn’t die. Now three days later my son killed this buck about a 1000 yards away with a Slick Trick standard. There was evidence of the old wound on both sides of that buck just above and behind his heart about 2” high and 2” back. It didn’t open was obvious. Anyway, BEST OF LUCK to you.
