VENUE SKATEBOARDS | 30TH ANNIVERSARY
Venue Skateboards in Richmond VA, has been open for 30 years. Thanks to Kim and Maury for giving all of us a home for the majority of my life. They are two of the hardest-working and most generous people I have ever met. They have done so much for me and the entire Richmond community. Thank you to the entire Blankinship family.

DIY Easy and Cheap Vertical Planter
Переглядів 1,5 тис.9 місяців тому
Building a cheap vertical cedar garden planter. Vertical herb garden. Details about this project - I used only 3 total cedar fence boards per vertical planter. I made it 4 feet tall leaving me with enough scrap per piece of wood to make the 7 inch potting areas. I would recommend if you nail it together to use TiteBond lll. It is safe for edible gardens. This channel will be a projects channel ...

Here is some raw footage of our community pouring a DIY concrete ramp. There have been many hands involved at our DIY spot, but a big person behind this project was Chris Burke. Our friends at Artisan came out with the truck/pump and shot it. We had help from our friend at Grindline. It could not of happened without all of our friends here in Richmond and surrounding cities that came out to hel...

beautiful video guys. 12 minutes of something special. thank you everyone
Hi all and OP, @Swyers - I've been trying to find similar videos or posts online, but the only ones I've seen/found are either Zack Dowdy's (no shade, I just don't want to build a half pipe in my backyard and would prefer something like this or and integrated into original infrastructure). Does anyone have any suggestions or know of anything?! Thanks in advance to anyone 👍
yeah man. Skateboarding is alive
❤❤❤❤
This was rad!!!
Nice work JASH!!!
😊positive vibe
SICK
The best♥️
oh shit... ❤this city thank you venue; respect 🙏🏽
BMX! Steve Crandall is a legend 😂
Awesome job bro! let me ask... did you build your pool?
you guys have the craziest DIY spot of all times lol
bro how do you do the coping with full concrete? any solution for not to destroy it while grinding? not the metal one, the other
Kick ass work and tricks
Your dog was growing a second tail hahaha
Sweet one thanks 💪🏻
Love it
where do yall get the money from?
super sick!
That’s so sick
how steep is the transition?
im not saying you didnt do this or that or trying to nit pick you to death but why didnt you push your rebar or use j hooked rebar and put it in before you poured your footers? it looked like you used an expoxy system but you didnt ddrill your holes big enough ,vacum out your holes etc... and that mekes me wonder why even bother . you might as well just stick your rebar in the block and pour grout around it. you must be a white collar guy involved in construction that thinks he knows everything. i worked with a guy building an addition on his garage and he would have been screwed if i wasnt there to tell him how wrong he was when his ego made him think reading a few books gave him years of construction experience.
I do not do construction. Just projects in the back yard. Luckily I just keep learning like from this comment. J hooks would be the go next time! Also, this whole project is crazy messy. I basically poured too thin of a footer with no framing and I didn’t even level it out. I had no plans on why type of cinder block I would use or how many when I poured the footer. Just rolled with it the whole time and cut corners. Went as cheap and easy as possible. If someone paid for this they should be fired.
@@swyers sorry im such a jerk. i dont know why i do that
if im making a transition of 13 and 3/8 inches how far out do i go? what is the formula? sorry 1 ft 1 3/8*
I do not fully understand the question. Can you say it in a different way. I’ll help if I can
@@swyers i want the ramp to be 1ft 1 and 3/8 high. i was wondering if there was a formula for how long it would be to be a normal transition for skating on. like do i go 4ft out etc.. then make a curve from a to b
Wow... I just finished phase 1 (mini ramp) and I suggested this very thing to wifey for phase 2... she rolled her eyes so hard that time actually slowed down as her side-eye righted itself... anyway rad project, I'm guessing 5 grand and 2-3 months
Dude please keep coming with these diy videos. Just subscribed mad love from Canada !!!!
🤝🤝❤️
this video is pure art.
❤️
Randomly recommended this 3 years later...watched the whole thing. So sick!!!
Nice Vibe! The music went very well with the incredible skateboarding at an interesting looking little Skate Park.
Epic
💥💥💥👀
Noice edit!! maybe you're mic didn't work for a reason, or maybe the jokes on me. All in all, skateboarding oy
my gawwd that first spot looks sooo fun
yo homie! I love you did that with a nice little planter in it. Aaron homoki is a great friend of mine and he too has a garden with some ramps. Much love from AZ <3 super sick stuff!
would be real awesome if you shared the concrete recipe , i guess it has some retarder that makes it set slower, what compressive strength does it have?, we are trying to make a few of these in Romania and we can't seem to get it right . thanks in advance
I made 2 of these today. I spaced it out so it had 4 boxes. Only tricky part for me was getting the boxes angled and stapled in without missing the divider.
That is awesome! I love to hear that. And that is a tricky part… it would take more time but maybe mark where the beginning and end of those board are and draw a line. Then each shot would be exactly in the middle. I have definitely missed a few myself :)
Amazing video, amazing job!
So proper, is this even DIY at this point, so professionally done!
Always a fan
Hell yeah JASH!
I was feeling exhausted just watching a bit before the footings were done. Amazing energy knowledge and commitment! 💯👏💥
Why would you put a manny pad straight in front of a hubba and a rail so you run straight into it?
ollie onto the flat ?
@@mini_mozzer and then going into the dirt? not what i would call flow, also you cannot put the slappy into lines like this. This is not a general rant, i really wanted to know whats the idea behind this.
@@doktor_faust same and why on the small curved transition the middle wasnt more a roller to get speed for the other quater... but hey not my park just curious as well lol
Louisa county could use your help.
Outstanding.
bro, I am Californian and I dream about moving out of state, when I do this is what i will be building in my back yard. Love it man so cool. such craftsmanship
The dog poops 🐕 💩
Damn that’s sick, hope to have something like this one day
good editing
Now all you guys need to add is either a bank or quarter at the end so you don't have to powerslide every time and can turn around and go back up
