Tailgate Party by Shogun
This is the Tailgate Party. A 500 gram "Finale" style, "Safe & Sane" firework, manufactured by Shogun.
This was my family's finale for our little private, kid-friendly display, on the 4th of July, 2024. We bought this last year, as well, and got it again because we knew we would enjoy it again.
There was a slight malfunction about 2/3rds of the was through, where I think it basically set off one full tube at once, instead of burning slowly like it normally would have. It was still cool, which is where you hear me say "Wow", but then it seemed to stop, and I mistakenly shut the camera off.
After several seconds (I'm assuming that was however long it took that main fuse to burn through to the next scheduled tube.. since it blew it all at once, was just burning the fuse inside, like it was still setting off the powder it already spent), it continued along to the next phase.
Fortunately, once I realized what was going on,.I was able to start recording again very quickly, thanks to my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra being so snappy. I only missed a second or so of the next phase.

How to terminate an IDC-style Cat5E patch panel with existing cables. This is from the point of the cable being ready to punch down. IDC is the 'punch down' style of connector, and stands for insulation displacement connector. The blades of the connector slice through and displace the insulation of the conductor, making contact with the metal, once it has been punched into place.

Pulling cable through a transfer hinge for a powered crash bar

This is a little trick I picked up for fishing power cable through an electric power transfer hinge, to be able to power an electric crash bar. This is a Von Duprin EPT, which comes pre-wired with 2 pig tails, which are not used in this particular application. So, we replace the multiple 22 AWG conductors with a single 18/2 cable.

It was the first time I had ever done anything remotely like it. I had 45 minutes to look at it and figure out what i needed to order, and then only had a day to do the work on it, once the parts arrived. It was also like 7 years ago ;-) I've learned a lot since then

KATU news reporter Joe Douglas is too stupid to know how stupid he is, or like most news reporter he enjoys lying through his teeth to the public every day. Well we know Joe Douglass Lies to the public every day!...I wonder how often he lies to the police?!
Is he lying about this, and/or mis-quoting the State's Public Safety Training guy?
The state's Public Training Guy lied to Joe... Joe knows better but he lied to us anyway! I think the real story IS.. Joe should investigate why the states Public Safety training guy is lying about lying to Joe. It just makes Joe Douglas look foolish or incompetent.
Eriks Gabliks, the director of the Department of Public Safety Standards & Training, emailed this to me prior to the airing of this story: "It is not a violation of state law for a police officer or person to lie to a police officer - if it were that would be a charge whenever a person stopped for speeding spoke to a police officer and said they weren’t." Gabliks also mentioned a federal statute that says you can't lie to a federal agent (i.e. one who works for the FBI) but in the context of this story it's irrelevant as it's about a police chief accused of lying to a deputy.
Joe Douglass, Lying to a cop while being stopped for speeding is irrelevant. A traffic citation is in a class of codes known as 'violations'. Which, by definition, are not crimes, and are not treated the same way in the eyes of the law. Lying to a cop while you're under investigation of an actual crime, however, could easily get you slapped with something similar to "interfering with an official investigation", or that sort of thing, which would actually be classified as a crime, not a violation, although I'm not sure what that sort of charge would bring in Oregon; could be a low misdemeanor, or a high felony... maybe. All I'm really getting at, is, police can be jerks right back to someone they perceive as lying/being a jerk to them--THEY DO IT ALL THE TIME. Care to look into this further, Mr. Douglass? I don't believe you are/would be lying to the public intentionally on this story, but I do believe that Mr. Gabliks fed you a load of crap. Hearing from some law enforcement officials would definitely clear some things up.

gx120 is better / more expensive, but gc120 is lighter.

If you would have flipped the clutch the motor would of mounted about 4 inches to the left and eliminated the foot peg extension.
Also does it mount in the original mounting hole in the doodlebug frame. Please help!
