Thanks for your video. have no one to ask about sheet metal around me. Your video is very useful. By the way, is the NX sheet metal group section is gone on siemens site? Everytime I type in nx-sheet-metal, it autometically changes to nx-cad.
Are you referring to the community site? If so, just tag sheet metal
Great explanation. Thanks.
9:18 What command did you use to do this?
Hi David, Thanks for sharing the video! I’m working on a design where I think I’ll need a bend bulge relief, and I’d like to calculate its size and position. I’m using 6mm thick material with a 12mm outer bend radius. Could you help me with the calculation or guide me on how to approach this? Thanks in advance!
Hi @designbynadeem, the depth required will depend on the material used. I cannot offer advice here but only suggest you create some test pieces and work out the amount required by that process.

how can i miter edges if they are multibody parts
It's very useful feature, and you good explain it to good❤❤❤❤
Good 👍
Here watching 😊
Support here 😊
Hello Dave. Is this example available in the Siemens NX installation folder somewhere? I've searched for it on NX Example Library > NX Feature Templates (Example), but it isn't there on version 2406. Thanks!
This is not certified by Siemens, just something I put together. I can ask if they want to include it. Happy to share with you (usual disclaimers apply) if you message me your contact details. Look me up on the Siemens community forum community.sw.siemens.com
Great video, learned a lot thanks! Gonna use these methods in my upcoming vids for sure
Good examples !
Good
Hi Dave! Love your videos! Could it be possible to get the models you use on your videos so we can do some practice? Thanks!
Hi, that would take a while, let me know which ones you want and I'll see if I still have them - depends on version too!
hey there i’m at 4:54 i can’t get the solve tab when i press normal cutout help please
not sure I follow your issue? solve tab?
why my NX does not have this variational flange ?
You need to be using NX2312 and have the advanced license
thank you Dave @@deedub7777
❤😊
hi , how will you select edges from another sketches, i'm using Project line option and then drawing, can you share the setting of edges
Change the setting of selection scope from active sketch to work part or entire assembly depending on your requirements
@@deedub7777 can you tell me , how to do that. please share a settings
@@GameXlog Look at the NX UI (start at 2m30s in the video and pause it). Just below the ribbon bar is the top border bar (starts with 'Menu' on the left). You then see a drop down for selection filter. Next along is the selection scope. To pick geometry outside of the sketch you need to select the appropriate option here, choose 'Entire Assembly' or 'Within Work Part Only'. Dialog memory will save this setting as you continue. Consider familiarizing yourself with the NX UI as it is consistent across NX
@@deedub7777 Thanks Bro .
How are these kinds of flanges manufactured in real life?
This functionality has been added to replace and improve legacy functions in the product that customers still use. These shapes are mainly formed using custom punch/die tools, sometimes referred to as crash forming rather than traditional press brake.
That's very interesting, but what about the Three Bend Corner gap? It's been asked for all over the internet, but never implemented
Is This feature in inventor or SOLIDWORKS? I didn't see that in inventor after 7 years work with that
Nope, only NX
Thank you for creating these great videos! If possible, could you have key press overlaid onto the video? I'm curious to how you selected 20 faces so quickly on the unbend feature. @1:04
Standard windows shortcuts work in NX. CTRL+A for ‘all’
Hi, how do i make my axis dotted like you have it? I only get the axis i choose when i create a sketch.
I'm using NX defaults, have you changed anything? Where exactly in the video are you referring?
Its excellent video to learn Nx sheet metal
Sir please provide more videos on sheet metal designing..
thank you so much. is there any way to show only the numbers on the flat pattern in NX drafting? cause you are only creating the bend table in drafting and it is not recognizable which ID is for which line.
Yes, in PMI preferences->Sheet Metal->Flat Pattern->PMI Configuration->Bend uncheck all Parameters except Bend Sequence ID. The set the Prefix to be no text. When you create your drafting view of the flat pattern, in Base View Settings->Common->PMI, inherit From Model View
4:36 How can You select all faces?
I use hot key CTRL+A. This selects all faces that are displayed.
Muted the audio and only visualized as I was in a class. This was amazing.
Pls keep on doing the videos. Your videos are so informative
Hi Dave, you can do it much easier, when using a Contour Flange. With this you can define a simple Sketch with one line and a constraint at the endpoint (Point on Curve - the Plane). If you like I can send the partfile to you. Will we see us in Costa Mesa next month? I will be there in Week one. Best regards.
Hi Michael, good catch! Of course there's so many ways to create in NX. Using flange gives more control over inset type and no reliance on sketch. thanks. I will not be in Costa Mesa unfortunately.
Very informative, very nicely done. Thank you!
which version is this
I used NX2306 however this technique will work in all versions that have the new measure capability of 'Minimum Projected Contact'. In earlier versions you would have to create a projected curve.
Sir make electrc panel bord
please explain, not sure what you mean?

Nice video
Good video
very nice video, I like the ways when you showed step by step all design phases! =)
thank you for your comment
I am eagerly waiting for your each videos ❤🎉. Thank you sir
thanks
Thanks sir,
Most welcome

Sir super👍
Hi Dave, Greetings from China, thanks for your tutorial, this flattened dimension has been bothering us, it is hard to get an exact value, can you help us make a bend table? Thank you so much!
😚 Promo>SM
Thank you
I wish all other design applications were explained like you do - WORKFLOWS used by professionals in actual tasks, not editing out "obvious" steps and NX defaults/settings. Templates(UDF), Structures, NX Layout.
Thanks! Let me know if you specific requests
Sorry, sheet metal for me , no item Modeling for Sheet metal, can you help me, show " modeling for Sheet metal " ribbon ! Thank you so much!
Hi!. Not quite sure what you are asking but go to Siemens.com for learning options
Great Video! How can you do this in NX2206, if there is no option to choose the "bending methods" ??
Hi! That's because it was introduced in NX2212
Dear Sir how do you rotate a component on the screen
Do you mean spin around graphically on screen? Hold down the middle mouse button and move the mouse. Roll the mouse wheel to zoom. Or do you ask how I do it? I use a 3Dconnexion space mouse. Or do you mean move a component in the context of an assembly? Use Move Component command. Sorry, not really sure which answer you want!
