Investigating An Actual Haunted Treasure Cave
Переглядів 8 тис.4 місяці тому
Gotham Wisconsin is home to some bizarre legends. This week I am kayaking down the Wisconsin River, camping on islands, and spelunking in a cave system rumored to hold vast treasure, artifacts, and human remains in totaling the hundreds. Located near the peak of Bogus Bluff, the cave not only has hundreds of years worth of legends about it but was also home to counterfeiters who made it their h...

Gordon talks about turning 40, the launch of his new channel, updates on new gear from The Outdoor Retailer show and why he loves helping people get outside. Thanks to Honorable Outfitters for the challenge!
Solo Hammock Camping with INTRUDERS! FULL TRIP VIDEO
Переглядів 1,8 тис.5 місяців тому
FULL TRIP VIDEO: In this video, Gordon hikes some segments of the Ice Age national trail, tries out some nostalgic gear, and tests some new gear as well. He confronts some intruders in the camp and has to relocate before nightfall.
Wish you could have spent the whole time out testing your shelter. Always best to err on the side of caution though!
Tell me you're paying for views without telling me you're paying for views😂🤦♂️
I don’t pay for views! Believe it! Thanks for the engagement.
did yall only have the three lights?
We had 3 lights each. 1 Primary and two backups. 🧈
ugh ... mount a light on your helmets!!!
Dammit high quality guy, i thought in the first look you maybe have 50000 subs or much more and came back for the like :)
6:03min its a joint or a greenback?^^
Welcome the 40s club. 🎉
I am a tent camper. I wouldn't know what to do. My oblivious self would've shared the site, but then, if my guts says no, then I'll do the same as you.
New subscriber. Really enjoyed the video thanks 😊
I appreciate the support!

DUDE! I love this! It looks like it was one awesome adventure!
Thank you, Jim!! It was thrilling and a bit scary at times haha!
@@ExcursionsWithGrim Right!! I would have never fit through some of those passages! That would be terrifying!
Great, well done video!!
this video was a triple threat! kayaking, cave exploring, camping! awesome job!
It turned out to be a fun combo, for sure! Thanks
great production
Thanks so much!
me and my friends found this cave a few months ago when it was winter still and went in the first one and that second cave (there was no animals around at the time) and when you walk in the second one it’s like a dome then it goes down into a very small opening but we didn’t think any of us could fit so we didn’t go any further but there is a bunch of little holes all over in there like that’s were the rattlesnakes were nesting. We thought it was a pretty cool find even though we couldn’t go any farther.
Wow! This is very cool to hear about! It sure is a fascinating cave. Thanks for being here.
I live just outside Gotham and fish the river often, always heard about Bogus Bluff
This was incredible. I am speechless. You are a master of your craft.
Thank you, Joe! It was an incredible experience for sure!
Thanks for taking us on your adventure! This was awesome!
Thank you so much, Shawn!!
I can’t wait to finish and watch the whole thing
Thank you, Mike!
Really enjoyed everything about this! Really well put together, and anytime I can learn about more adventures in Wisconsin I’ll take it!
Wisconsin has some pretty amazing places hiding in plain sight, doesn't it! Thank you for watching!
Thanks, Gordon for taking me somewhere I’d otherwise likely never make it to. It was really great to get the story as well as the expedition. Are we going to get a part two with the river portion of the trip?
Thank you! I did film quite a bit of content from the islands and a bit of the kayaking... So I may have more on the way!
Beautiful, scary and thoughtfully done, taking us to a place we could never go due to fear of the journey. Thank you!
Loved this video so much Gordon! It was so fun to watch, and loved this style! Thanks for making it, and I can’t wait to see more!
Thanks so much, Josh! Appreciate you watching. This was a fun one!

Thank you for being here and for your support! I truly enjoy doing this.
Love the voiceover and cinematic shots! And I'll start using the word 'haversack' from now on.
Thanks for being here, Carl! I’m glad to hear that I’ve “influenced” you to use the word haversack! 😅
Excellent channel concept -- sounds perfect for me. I could always use the encouragement to get out more, I'm really just a beginner. Thanks for following up on this concept, & can't wait to see what you've got in store for the future!
Thanks so much! Happy you are here!

Happy Birthday Gordon!!! Welcome to the 40s club brother
Thanks, Mike! 😅💪🏼 It’s going to be awesome!
@@ExcursionsWithGrim yes sir 🫡
Happy Birthday. Thanks for taking us along. I love going on short day hikes. I need to go on more myself. The heat starts up fast here and so I don't always get to hike. Nothing wrong with hitting forty just keep on doing what you love. Put God first and your family. God Bless.
Glad I found you and your other channel! You do a a good, thorough job. I love military packs but so many of them, like the one you are using, are heavy and not comfortable. I have an ALICE pack, medium (who doesn't?) and Karrimor Sabre 45, which is a pretty comfortable pack. Keep going. I look forward to more of your content.
Woah, this is golden Gordon. This format is great, the commentary, editing, drone shots, walking into shot. I'm excited for you brother. I can't wait to see what you do with this
Thanks for your support, my friend!
Happy Birthday, Gordon! Looking forward to future adventures on this new channel.
Much appreciated! Thanks for being here!
Happy birthday brother! I'm looking forward to your adventures!
Thanks for being here, Shawn!
I'm excited to see where this channel takes us! I definitely want to get out on more excursions this year, a little motivation from your videos won't hurt!
Super glad you are here to follow along and hopefully get out in nature more as well!
Happy Birthday -- 40 won't feel any different than 30 did, except you're a little smarter... Just stay fit. It'll make a huge difference when you turn 50 😏👍
Subscriber #40 🙂 Keep up the good work!
Thanks for being here!
Great video Gordon! I’m so glad you started a second channel! It just means double the videos we get to watch of yours!
Thanks so much, Josh! I appreciate you, dude!
Just getting into the outdoors, survival, and the idea of camping! You’ve really encouraged me to actually take a trip soon! Great video, can’t wait to see more
Thanks so much! I’m excited for you… I hope you make it out there!
This was your first video? I feel like I am missing something. Great video.
Thanks! I have another channel with shorter content. This one is for my long form camping content. Thanks for being here!
Well then 🤷🏼♂️ Get a better designed pack or pack mule.
🫏 🎒 I would love to try a mule pack trip sometime!
Nothing stops you from customising your bag you know
i feel like im watching a youtube video that was made by a youtube ac with 200k+ followrs lol
This is my second account, for longer trip videos. Thanks for watching!
I probably would have put the interaction on the video……..
Indeed! It would have made the video more entertaining, for sure! I didn’t really know what was going on in the midst of the interaction, and pointing a camera at them didn’t feel right at the time. 😅 Thanks for watching!
Staged
@@skadoosh3820😂 I’m not that clever.
Really enjoyed watching, thank you from Kinloss in Scotland.
Very cool, thanks for being here!
I like my ramen a little crunchy. :) Enjoyed the video, and I might have stayed there with them. Maybe not the best idea, but I'd probably see what vibe they gave off.
Yes! Crunchy ramen! 🍜 Thanks for watching !
I probably would have told them how to get to #1. U did good. ❤❤❤
Thanks for being here and for the comment!
just my 2 cents be more like Steve and have a step 2. Way too much talking, and information dumping. I like all the camera angles and the B roll of you working and enjoying the sensory. Let the microphone listen to the bird and bugs more, give us stuff that we cant hear or see here from Ohio or somewhere like Texas, you walking through cotton or puddles is really cool and it looks like u have a drone following you very nice. Keep up the great videos I'd rather this than the other 80% of camping youtubers that don't say a word the entire video.
Thanks for the feedback! It’s great to hear what connects with people.
Right at the beginning of the vid you talk about how everyone that uses the trail will eventually run in to it. Then you are surprised when someone shows up. I'll sub, but I won't stick around for that kind of whining. Public trails, lol. Horses can't get where I go.
Hey! Thanks for subscribing. What I said was that if you are backpacking you will come across the shelter… meaning you will reserve it and head down the shelter path to stay there. These guys weren’t backpacking, they were turkey hunters and came in off the road. Each shelter has a spur trail off of the main trail, so the they are intended to be used by backpackers who reserve the shelter only. There is typically no main trail traffic to the shelters. Thanks for the comment!
