I Was Running So Fast & I Wasn't Coming Up for Air! Finding Balance in a Busy Life
Korie Robertson and Beth Redman have both found themselves running so far they couldn't come up for air - or so it seemed - being busy wives and moms. But they share how they both were able to find - and maintain - balance as they moved through life. Sometimes it's meant stepping back from friendships that weren't life-giving or learning when a physical break is needed. Whether that's a firm naptime on Sundays, practicing a sabbath, or just taking some slow time to regroup. It is possible to maintain a balance in whatever you're navigating in life! Sadie's learned the value in social media breaks. And Maisey confesses balance is something she's struggled with, especially in trying to be everything to everybody - which is just not possible. And why she's valuing discernment as a tool in finding balance every day.

I listened the the first episode which I listened to with tears in my eyes and it ended with me crying laughing. Thank you all for your authenticity & vulnerability 🤍
Great episode, thank you! A good topic to further explore is what you mentioned about watching your kids in relationships and when to speak up and when to practice patience.

'Pray Big' by Alistair Begg!
Love all the resources you ladies suggest for parenting. What was the name and the author of the books on praying for your children in different ages?

You guys are amazing! I've looked up to Korie for so long, I'm so glad to have this podcast now. Being a mom is so hard
YES❤
I love what yall are doing here, I’ve stumbled upon your podcast at such a crucial time in my faith. I have 2 young sons under 3 years old, and I love hearing your real life experiences that show how you interact with your children, as I don’t really have a great role model as I journey through motherhood. I have my own business, but I am also a stay at home mom with my children. This worked great when they napped for 4-6 hours of the day but we are down to 2 hours of nap, and I’m really struggling to get any work done. My husband works full time and we want this business to thrive so we can save for a house and also have more time together as a family. My question to yall would be this: how do you deal with the anxiety of leaving your children with someone else. How do you find someone to leave them with? I’ve never been a worrier but I find myself getting very anxious when I think about putting distance between me and my kids, and I also worry they will not understand why I’m leaving them (especially my youngest who is very attached), and also overcoming the distrust of leaving them in the care of someone I don’t know very well. My 3 year old believes everything he’s told, so I worry that whoever I leave him with will not be speaking truth into his life, and my 18 month old can’t even stand it when I leave to go to the mailbox. We don’t have family that can help out with them, and I think maybe part of my fear is coming from the lack of security I have with my own parents. Anyway- I’d love to hear some words of wisdom regarding anxiety, working mom guilt, how you learn to trust others, etc. Yall do such a great job of portraying what faith in family actually looks like, and I need this so much, so thank you for doing what you do! Also another topic I’d love to hear you talk about is purpose during but also outside of motherhood- and maybe that’s a factor that even plays into what I previously mentioned about anxiety leaving my children. Thanks for your time! I’ll be listening!
Very encouraging for those with complicated mother/daughter relationships.
Love these talks
I luv the young ones, but they should learn that even if it’s someone else’s mess, they could keep an eye out on everyone else’s mess. When we were younger we were tasked with overseeing
Thank you so much for doing this ! I am a regular listener of Unashamed , however, I was really missing a good grown woman talk 🥰
