I love the word rescheduled 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
Good step by step testing
Ive got an 84 f150 i just dies of the sudden after idling for 5 min. Sometimes it does and sometimes it dont. Like someone turn the switch off . I dont think its fuel.
Give this Ford F-150 a transformation detail it never saw coming.
It's a magnetic pickup in the distributor.. points ignition would not need a control box.
Hate it when my 'Brinco' gets a sticky throttle... 😂😂😂😂😂
On those old cars I usually remove those screens!. works just fine. !.. Honda is worried about 10 years. Not an old car you can always go few years their job is actually screening for metal that may be bigger than the screen holes. But that Sheldon happens..
Love the timelapse LOL
Points ? Condenser ? in an electronic ignition system ? I think not
pretty cool truck !
Thank you. VERY SATISFYING. To quickly take the outer appearance up a notch after the washing, I would ARMOR ALL dress the hard black plastics like the side view mirrors, tailgate bumper, and the fender wheel guards. it will make it pop like the way you dressed the tires. That was thorough. You've really taken that truck to a new level. They are very reliable trucks as I've been told and I'm impressed by how many there are still on the road. I've seen quite a few of the '80 models. I don't see that many old Toyotas still on the road, and they always seemed to get biased favor or mention as the " most reliable" small trucks. If you paid less than $2K, you got a deal. The engine was running smooth with zero vibrational shake. I'm curious to know how much you paid, but I know it's not really ethical to ask. Congratulations on the find, the work achieved and thanks for posting what you've done. ‹👍👍👍👍👍👍
Like most viewers, there's an element of voyeurism, but more specifically, living vicariously through you. I would love to be doing what you are doing because those are nice reliable vehicles. That is, when roadworthy. You're obviously doing what it takes to get it there. As you were working on the driver's window regulator, I couldn't help but to begin thinking of a budget(if I were in your position ) and keeping expenses to a minimum at this time to buying only the " essentials ". So with the door panel off for access, as you worked on the window regulator, I thought some new speakers for a stereo would be or could've been considered a necessity. Huh ? Aside from engine components that are needed and miscellaneous like brakes, wiper blades, etc. ,some trim like door handles, antenna.,......stereo ? ...,.door/ windo insulation and so on . No criticism, I'm just thinking what I'd do. Not much different from your process. This is what is so strange about being a viewer of videos like yours, I bet there is a lot of comments with recommendations and the like from most viewers, and I suppose that these are all natural correspondences and go along with being a blogger/uploader. Thanks for the video.
I have a goal to be able to increase the budget on each project as I go along. A stereo and speakers are definitely in that goal!
That steamer does a really nice job on the door panels. One of the very best detailing videos I have seen. Lots of helpful cleaning techniques. Thanks so much!!
Fantastic work. A really enjoyable video. Thanks so much! Cheers!
I had a 96 that was a darker red. It looked so much like yours that I'm getting sad watching this. It waltzed to the right and I spent too much money fiddling with the steering configuration and suspension. I finally found that the sucker was wrecked and the frame was bent. Sadly I tried to fix an issue with its engine running a little rough by spraying Seafoam into the throttle body. This gunned the motor so much it blew a valve. I was fool enough to buy another Ranger versus just making do with the 96 and getting the engine fixed. Live and learn.
Thanks much for this. My 83 f150 is not getting spark and i got stranded, and towed. Luckily, like you, i wasnt over 15 miles away from home. Will try these steps,.but im lousy at electrical, as a 70 yo not that mechanical guy, but i try to fix as much as possible myself , being on So c Sec
Mine is an 02 but has 230,000. How much did you pay for your 4x4 edition?

Good job
Show! Congratulations from Brazil. Meu sonho é ter uma camionete dessas.
Just keep them coming great job
I learned the hard way that there are better ways of testing the alt than disconnecing the battery lol :p
Just inherited a truck that has been in my family since new in '88. Some hack has jimmy rigged the throttle cable adjustment and I cant find the cable above the throttle cable. It attaches onto the nipple at the end of the throttle cable... any help?
What's with the nail polish, you've made that real clear with showing it 1245 times.😂😂
I just discovered you the other day, i have been a FORD Truck Man for all my 70 yrs of life. I used to, and still rescue one now and again when i can. The music is very good and so i subscribed so i can follow along on your journey with these old girls.
great vide...that's a bike rack in the bed...you take the front wheel off of the bike and mount it in.
Hey great video.. I just recently inherited a 1970 F100.. Been sitting a barn for the last 11 years..
Good video the pickup truck look great dude and i love trucks i look forward seeing upcoming content
Twin I beam @ 10:30
You were going righty tighty when you snapped it
20:18 Those are CO2 canisters. Typically used for a CO2 powered BB or pellet gun. Also, yellow in a vehicle means airbag. You really should disconnect the battery before unplugging/replugging those connectors. In rare cases, the airbag could deploy.
What did you clean the wheels with?? Seems to have worked really well.
Just soap and water. I’m not that good at wheels yet.
Looks like the 4.0l OHV not the SOHC. DO NOT use the red thread locker on that, it requires heat to remove. The blue is plenty.
How’s your tl doing? Need part 3
It has moved on. I do miss it though
“Looks like we’ll be learning to fix that thingy”. This is my kind of mechanic work. 😊
Just bought my mom's old truck off my uncle I'm so happy
That’s a truck to keep for sure!!!!
Psychological. A clean vehicle always runs better😊.
Goes a little faster too
I bet those snails were ready to fight when you returned
I have an Acura CL same year and the transmission shifts hard. I was going to get rid of it because I thought the transmission was going out. It just shifts hard. Please keep me informed I an going to hold off on selling it to see what happens with you.
It’s still going good. Shifts a little soft. I’ll probably have to replace the transmission at some point.
I have the same problem at the moment, wish you can swing by.
Love the mirrors!!
Hey there, nice video! I like your truck! I bought a ‘70 f-250 Sport Custom 360 about a year ago; it looks just like yours! It took me about 6 months (I’m 63 and disabled) to get her running where I could drive her. I’m not a mechanic so I’m learning on the fly. Thanks for educating me!
Thank you for getting another one back on the road!
Tip to tell if your serpintine belt is bad is to get a groove depth tool, or look and see if they look sharp. The newer belts go by this and not by cracking or missing grooves. Their made from a different rubber and wear different. When the grooves get to deep and get to the metal banding they start to slip and squeal. Hope this helps.
That does absolutely help! Thank you!
Always uncover the shaft.
Put the camera on a tripod and leave it there. Hand-held camera shots are horrible. Plus, you need both hands free to do the work.
That sounds like a wonderfully boring suggestion! Thank you!
Did you do the fluid flush and filter change? How did that go?
I'm uploading pt 2 right now!
