Our story is pretty simple...three out of four of Jeff and I's parents became ill and passed away in their middle 60's. This reality has caused Jeff and I to truly realize that we need to make each moment count!

How did you get the lock into pair mode? We are having a terrible time trying to pair it
Hi Pam, So we recently upgraded our camper and no longer have the Bauer door lock. I do not remember how we paired it. I would call the company and ask them for some assistance on this!
You may want to confirm, but I think your lift jacks are installed incorrectly. They should be flipped around and rest in front of the of the pin holding them up, not behind. Once that is corrected, they will be much more vertical when engaged.
Height is also a big thing when camping at some locations

You never mentioned the added space you need for the front of the truck swing when backing into tight spaces and the never ending bucking 5ers make going down the road. Also height can come into play for things like low branches and potential low bridges. I’ve owned both so I feel I know a thing or two. And yes I know what opinions are like.

One pro of a travel trailer is that if you have a large family, you can use a real SUV (Excursion) to tow it.

Instead of spending $3,200 on a quality 5trh wheel hitch that takes up your bed - better off swapping out the pin box when new for a gooseneck like a Reese Goosebox or a Gen Y Gooseneck - ride quality is substantially better, you don't lose all that bed space and when you are not towing you are taking out a 10 lb. ball to have your truck back!

I’ve heard that can void your warranty. Is that true? I’m looking at a 5th wheel and would really like to switch to a Gen Y goose.
@@josephmcclary9667 Lippert approved the Reese Goosebox as a replacement for the standard 5th wheel pins, so long as you don't modify the frame and use the same attachment points, with no impact on the warranty a few years back. They make most of the frames - but with recent frame flex all over the internet I would check with them before I put one on. I have an ATC all aluminum toybox and I checked with ATC in 2023 when I got my trailer and they said same thing as Lippert, as long as you don't modify the frame and use the OEM attachment points it would not void the warranty.
I wish I could afford the Hensley hitch. I have battled trailer sway for years now.
Hello! Thank you so much for watching we truly appreciate you! In our opinion, the Hensley hitch by far is the best on the market. I am not sure what size travel trailer you have. They have different size hitches which may affect the cost. We are actually getting ready to sell our Hensley hitch. You may want to look into Facebook marketplace to see if somebody is selling one area! You will not be disappointed if you do end up going with a Hensley hitch!
I would need a 10k lbs hitch.

The rubber pad was purchased at Lowe’s and was about 3/8 of an inch thick. He cut it to size. Please let us know if you decide to do this project would love to see photos!
