    Hello Sir, The Saxons had 2 and 1/2 grenadier battalions at Raszyn . Grenadier Bn. Einsiedel which was composed of two companies of IR Von Dyherrn (light blue facings) and IR Konig (red facings). The half battalion was composed of two grenadier companies of IR Rechten (dark red facings)【sort of like citadel's khorne red]. There was also one battalion of IR Oebschelwitz. I have to research their facings. Artillery consisted of 2x 6 gun foot batteries and two battalion guns from IR Oebschelwitz. Two squadrons of the Saxon Hussars were also present. Let me know if you need any other info. Oh, the Konig grenadiers had gold/brass buttons. I will have to research the others. Hope this helps.

    As far as I'm aware the Ottomans were suprised by the attack of the relief force which was already rampaging in the camp by the time they were able to mount any significant resistance . As such , my suggestion is that the Christians start with the garrison and the vanguard of the relief force on the board and gotta roll for arrival of aditional reinforcements . Once they reach the Ottoman camp you can either allow the garrison to sally out or make them roll for it . The Ottomans can command only the troops in the siege lines at the start and gotta roll to start activating the rest of their army (representing the timariots arming themselves , mounting up and forming into units) . I think you should also slap a bunch of debuffs on the timariots until they manage to get ready. You could also do a pre-battle roll for the ottomans to decide how aware they are of the relief force , a good roll either making it easier to get the timariots ready or even have a small force at the ready to meet the Christian vanguard . As for the Ottoman reinforcements , maybe some rolls to represent scouts/raiders returning to aid the fight ? I don't think the governor of Buda would be able to send reinforcements in time even if he wanted to , as they'd have to cross the Danube in order to reach Sisak As far as terrain goes , this part of Croatia is very mountainous and forested , going hilly towards the East so I am not suprised the Ottomans were unable to bring heavier artillery . This battle is kinda famous in Croatia for being the first major land victory against the Ottomans

    The Austrian cavalry was reorganised a number of times during the period, and it seems there was a phase where dragoons and chevauxleger were merged into a new category of "light dragoons". However, this was changed again. I guess it underlines the usefulness of picking an army from a specific battle or campaign when collecting your troops. I would be happy to share more info from books I have here, but UA-cam comments section isn't highly conducive for that. Do you have a Discord account or an email that you would feel safe as a space for exchange of ideas? Another thing to note is that Blue Moon are 18mm, like AB and more recent Napoleonic ranges.

  • @mitchsminis
    @mitchsminis 11 днів тому

    I believe the “Light Dragoons” are meant to be Chevaulegre, that’s what makes the most sense as the Austrian cavalry never fielded “light dragoons” that’s more of a British term.

    • @Corvinuswargaming1444
      @Corvinuswargaming1444 11 днів тому
