What many people apparently do not know yet is the fact that you can live well in Serbia and especially Belgrade if you receive money from abroad. People who decide to emigrate to Serbia as soon as they can retire. Those who live well in Serbia are precisely those who receive money from abroad. Or you have to have a very successful business.

The majority of the population in Serbia (over 80%) are believers of the Serbian Orthodox Church, which counts time according to the old Julian calendar. The difference between the old Julian and the new Gregorian calendar is 13 days, so Christmas is on January 7, and the so-called Serbian New Year is on January 14. Catholics and Protestants in Serbia celebrate Christmas and New Year as everywhere else in the world - December 25 and January 1. But Serbia, as a country, has accepted, as an official, the new Gregorian calendar and that is why most Serbs also celebrate January 1 as a national holiday - the new year. The day before Christmas is called - Badnji dan - because in the evening, after the holy liturgy (service in the church), burned badnjak (young oak tree and branches) in honor of the birth of the Son of God. Christmas is a family holiday and is associated with many traditional customs, without receiving guests. Slava is an old Serbian custom and does not exist among other Orthodox nations. It is celebrated in honor of the patron saint of the family. In the morning, bread, specially prepared, wine and koljivo (ground cooked wheat) are consecrated in the church. It is customary for guests to come to the celebration without an invitation, even if someone unknown comes, they must be received like all other guests. The most important and joyful holiday for Orthodox Serbs is Easter - the day of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! Thank you for your interest in Serbian holidays and customs. You made a nice video. Best regards and all the best in life.

Serbia should be a part of EU under most favourable terms for her. Serbia should thrive to transit from the current mindset towards modern, efficient and progressive, European values, with full respect of her traditions. The biggest problem in Serbia is that people are never saying - It must be better than this! It is actually easier than we think! There is a way! People will rather say - it could be worse! We are lucky they are not beating us! I hate to admit how frustrated I get sometimes when I see my countrymen letting their destiny float like a boat in a bottle. There are politicians willing to present EU as some wayward direction for Serbia, but I am convinced how EU could be very beneficial for Serbia. We could make a promise to ourselves to have a referendum as soon as possible, to se if EU is still in Serbia's best interest, as UK did, and leave if there is no point to stay. But, we owe it to ourselves.

Greetings from Bulgaria. To our Serbian brothers - don't do the mistake we did by joining the EU. The EU is a political union above being an economic union. If you join the EU you debt and corruption will sky-rocket and your sovereignty will diminish. Join BRICS - it is only an economic union. You only stand to gain in BRICS.

The problem with letting the Serbian people decide, is the corruption of Vucic's government. The people will never get a real choice. This is my experience when visiting Serbia and talking with the people. Serbia is in a potentially good position to make beneficial international partners (including the EU), but your government appears to be interested in personal gain, rather than national gain. To be fair, that makes it no less democratic than the EU and Russia.

The biggest nonsence of all - Western world says: You must respect Ukranian suverenity and integrity, because all UN members obligate to respect international countries borders. But in Kosovo case they said: That is exceptional example in the world - or you should not respect borders of Serbia and Kosovo as its parts because we said that. UN rules in this case are worthless. We interpret UN rules as we want. In some cases we respect them in some we do not. This is the main reason why we do not like West - hypocrite politics. BRICS is not at the level of organizations between countries as it is now EU, but no matter how you country is big, your voice is listening. In EU, you just need to listen Big Brother - the strongest countries and your voice is irrelevant. Further, in BRICS there are no countries that make wars or bombing us as 19 NATO countries did in 1999. All our alies are already there - Russia, China, UAE etc. But, geographicly we are in Europe and its natural to join economical and political organization in Europe. But we can also stay neutral as Swiss or Norway. Now Turkey wants to join BRICKS and it will be interasting to see how far BRICKS can spread in the west. If they succeed, it will the end of EU as we know today.

America is and remains an extremely backward, extremely paranoid, extremely hypocritical, cunt country. Mainly the U.S.A.. It's time for America's allies to have their eyes opened. That the one who pretends to be a friend / Ally is actually no friend / Ally at all. At least not in the way they pretend to be. The scale on which America is doing that is unprecedented.
