Which Lens is Best? Fujifilm 50mm or 90mm
When it comes to deciding which lenses you want in your camera kit, it is a big decision. But the lenses are most likely going to outlast the camera body so it's a real investment when you make a purchase. I was able to rent a few Fujifilm lenses, the 50mm F2 and the 90mm F2, to see if one or both of them will be able to complete my Fujicron lens kit.

Finally CANCELING Adobe

I have been subscribed to the Adobe Creative Cloud since August of 2015. But the time has come to finally cancel my Adobe subscription and look for different solutions. As an iPad creative, this comes with unique challenges and trade-offs. While I was at it, I decided to go for it all and move my video editing too. Mexico City Photography with the Fujifilm 10-24 F4

I use my Fujifilm X-T3 for vlogging but what is the best lens to pair with it? It needs to be a wide angle lens to get the full picture and context. Ideally, it would have optical image stabilization. And it could be versatile to use for photography and other video clips. So I have a few options from Fujifilm that I am putting to against each other in a little bit of a lens showdown competition...
The iPhone 15 Upgrade Video For The Rest Of Us
Переглядів 2,4 тис.Рік тому
There are a lot of videos about upgrading to the iPhone 15 but most talk about it in comparison to last year's model. What if you're upgrading from an iPhone that is a few years old. What about an iPhone Xr from 2018? That is what I'm doing and I want to share what that experience is like along with all of the features and benefits of making the jump to the newest iPhone 15. Street Photography With 75 Year Old Film Camera
Переглядів 370Рік тому
There is something special about finding a vintage film camera. This one is extra special because of who's it was. I'm honored to be the one to carry on with this camera, making photos, and sharing memories. The photos aren't perfect but that's not the point of this one. The Konica 1 may not be commercially valuable but this one has more value to me than can be measured in dollars. GEAR: www.im...
Minimal Camera Gear for Mexico City Travel Photography
Переглядів 1,3 тис.Рік тому
I'm packing for a trip to Mexico City and have to decide what camera gear to bring with me. I like keeping things minimal and Brevite came through with an updated version of their camera backpack that does just that! I'm able to bring the lenses that I want as well as my technology, accessories, and I have a sneaky little slot for my passport. It is never the same when deciding what's in my cam...
Using Fujifilm for the NYC Marathon
Переглядів 4122 роки тому
The New York City Marathon is the largest marathon in the world! So when my wife decided to sign up and run 26.2 miles across all five boroughs of NYC, I knew I had to document the experience. I used my Fujifilm kit to capture photo and video along with my DJI Osmo Action. There is always a trade off when trying to make photos and videos but I was hopefully able to do both. You be the judge! GE...
Is a Teleconverter Worth It? Testing the Fuji 1.4x Teleconverter while Whale Watching
Переглядів 11 тис.2 роки тому
The Fuji teleconverters have always peaked my interest so I decided to rent one and test it out in Hawaii. I went whale watching where the whales were just a little too far for the Fuji 50-140. By adding the 1.4x teleconverter, I was able to get the full frame equivalent of nearly 300mm. But is it worth buying? Or is renting the better option? Travel Photography with the Fuji X-T3 in Hawaii

It's been over two years since I was able to travel on a plane and make some photos. I'm so grateful I was able to travel to Hawaii, relax, and do some travel photography. I have used the Supertakumar 55 mm f1.8 on my fujifilm camera and its a bargain.
Did you have to declare your gear? if so did they charge you?
i upgraded from the standard 14 to the 16 pro max and i really love it
Does photoshop and Lightroom run on a new iPad Air?
Will this work with the 10th generation I Pad as well?
does not work with a lot of regular covers for the ipad
Hey, great video! I switched over from Sony to Fuji 2 years ago. I’ve had a number of lenses over the years, including the 10-24/4, 33/1.4, and other 3rd party lenses. I’ve settled on the following, and they all have the fujicron form factor which I love. The Laowa 9/2.8, Fuji 16/2.8, 23/2, 35/2, and the Voightlander 23/1.2. You’re definitely right about the lineup as a whole. I don’t need the 50 or 90, but I’d love to rent them one day as well.
I just bought my first mirrorless camera after being out of photography for a few years. Never used anything more than Apple Photos. I tried using Affinity Photo, but the learning curve was too steep for me. Sounds like Darkroom is more my speed. Don’t want to use Photoshop, I don’t like subscription models, and years of messing with Adobe Acrobat Pro have left kind of an unpleasant impression. Thanks for the comparison! I thought the audio was good enough :-)
Have you tried pairing it with the anker 551 dock hub?
The word “equivalent” in photography makes me want to tie rocks to my ankles and go swimming.
What is the best app for interior or landscape designers wanting to draw over the top of photos?
Great video man! Just a quick ask, would it be possible to transfer RAW files to NAS through my IPAD pro? How?
Excellent video, thank you!
Will you come back to this series? The videos you mention you had planned sounded great, I would've loved to see them.
I'm sure it was challenging for street photography. However you mostly shot photos of the street. Very little of the human element in them. But I understand the limitations.
Hello, sorry for my english, but can you help me please. I'm looking to buy an ipad pro 11, is the 8gb ram enough? I work on lightroom and use 7-8 masks, like dodge&burn, radial filter, background, soft skin and other
Thank you for this. All of my questions were answered watching this video.
This is just the kind of demonstration and info I needed. Thanks.
Well done! Interesting challenge. Thanks for doing this!
Really cool video. I love Konica cameras. I shoot film almost every day. I just love the vintage unique look you get with these.
I've been trying to decide between the Fuji 10-24 f4 r ois wr and the Viltrox 13mm f1.4. Any thoughts between the two?
I have been finding that adapting to a simple system is easier than to simplify a complex one. I could use Notion for example and do an all-in-one system for task and project management. But it’s a bit like driving a super car to the grocery store.
Great video, thank you! I'm currently using Dropbox Paper to run my digital mkt agency. I'm thinking of using Apple Notes. I'm investingating whether I can export my Dropbox Paper into Notes. Wish me luck! Great job!
Excellent. I would love to do a whale watching tour and take my Fujifilm gear with me. Thanks for the video.
yes, would love to see videos on color and luminance range.. that would be great…..
Affinity Photo 2 does HDR Merge however it isn't available on the Australian appstore for some reason!
Vpn
Great video I would say that I'm in the same position as you, at the moment I keep switching from LR as it offers better presets to C1 although when it comes to precise skin tone C1 is really good
Very cool video. Im annoyed at GoodNotes 6.. been using it since 2020 and suddenly they went into subscription so all my notebooks for the past 3 years-- cant access all of them.
yo, that wallpaper is awesome. Still have it?
I am a long term LR Mobile user... I am truly SHOCKED at the massive improvement in low light images on Drone and M43 low light street....!!!
Can I get that iphone XR I dream to get iphone

Super interesting! Thanks for sharing. Great video 👍
There are multiple options and models - which synology drive do you recommend for up to 2TG storage? You said this isn't a "backup" per se, do you pay for the additional icloud storage monthly? what do you recommend for getting away from the cloud altogether? Thanks!
So this is now also availalbe for us Iphone 15 USB-c users. Amazing for travelling light with only a USB-C hub, camera an iphone. No laptop or Ipad Required.
How much do you want for the rucksack? Lol (but seriously)
Hice video. I Was expectante a more automatíceme way though. I am tryng to do HDR in a much complex photo in terms of composition. Thanks anyway
I’ve been playing with Affinity Photo and it has a Stack option with different automated blend options. Not enough to make a video about it but maybe something to look into for what you’re trying to do.
Great video! I moved away from Fuji but definitely miss those smaller Fujicrons. I used to have the 23, 50, and 90 and they were great for family photos
Do you have any tips or tricks for me as I continue to learn Capture One for iPad?
Can you take a top handle in your backpack as a carry on ?
Just did the same thing… cancelling Adobe in Jan (end of my yearly contract) grabbed affinity pro and Darkroom (also available as a one time purchase) - cancelled Canva (and been on a rampage to cancel AS MUCH as subscription based app as i reasonably can)
It’s not easy to cancel an adobe subscription though
Hello! I have an XT-3 camera and I’m trying to adapt my 50mm f1.4 FD canon lens. If I buy that adaptor do you think it’ll work on my Fuji? What will change in terms of aperture or any other tools?
Ill tell about an alternative. How about tbis.. fuck adobe. Firewall the bastards and then the software cant talk to tbe adobe servers. Then it cant check your subscription. Buncha pricks.
capture one's pricing is actually MORE greedy than Adobe's, but each to their own
Capture one you can pay one time $299.
I’m going for IPhone 12 Pro Max I like the journey from Samsung 6 to IPhone 6 to IPhone XR to IPhone 12 Pro Max
Adobe would appeal better all round if one could 'pay-as-you-go' , much like how the new AI e.g. Midjourney paying model. Last week I cancelled my creator subscription (lac of funds), and Adobe wanted 49euro as a cancellation fee, I was livid. After some back and forth text hockey, they cancelled it for me without charge. If Adobe introduced a Pay as you go, that would be fine, of course, it would help at least. Look, I'm not a professional, or a student, I'm a hobbyist. My understanding is; Adobe cater's for pros and students and not for non-professionals, an overlook? a performance gap? I now use ON1 RAW 2024 (1 time payment), DaVinci Resolve (free) and waiting for a Black Friday deal for Affinity which I hope to pick up for around 50 odd bucks (perpetual).
Thank you for sharing your process. I'd love to hear more about how it works out 6 months from now. For what it's worth, I always encourage new photographers to always go with Adobe. There is so much free education on UA-cam. My local community college has classes/workshops in LightRoom and PhotoShop. You never know when you may want to collaborate with someone, and most photographers are on Adobe. And in this era of AI, Adobe will be on the cutting edge. IMHO - the Adobe photographer package is a great deal. I understand that others may be more concerned about the monthly $ which can add up over the years.
As a Fuji shooter, I love Capture One and have been using it for about 3 years. I wouldn't expect much in the way of savings though. You can pay for the current version outright, but you will likely end up upgrading it every couple years if you go that route. May as well just pay for the subscription to always have the latest version and hardware support.
1.I'm a photography plan user currently and Photoshop and Lightroom work fine, without additional cost. 2. How can Capture one be cheaper if their pricing starts at double of Adobe Photogprahy plan per month? Their perpetual is also a joke, because in need of cashflow they have to push new versions to grab some cash and You loose Photoshop. 3. Affinity Photo is fine, lot less advanced but to make thumbnails Canva is much better. It already has all templates and assets, where as in Affinity you have to download them separately. 4. I can agree on Resolve, seems like a good idea. I still can't get their interface, because of years spent in Final Cut.
Love your video. I know it’s an older one but I’m a Fuji user as well and make similar UA-cam content. Subscribed to your channel after viewing this video!
