2 weeks ago i drove down to the 5 frlg straight. It was a honest mistake, it almost cost me a new Front-end for my car 🚗. Dwrcl. Eros blvd is like under water Sea-reef. 😢. The roadways are worse than Palestine roads. Smh. If you leave a pipe tap on, the whole place floods,😂. Cho. Rahtid.
Rohan Pandohie, please comment asking for solutions tht would better racing. Trust me i could tell you, but the corrupters would be mad, becaz they would be called out. But thts the only way for the punters on lovers of the sport to resume coming to the park. Rohan pls help the sport. You have the platform to make it happen.
I agree, too little horses, too many jockeys. Seriously though. We would rather you guys point out problems with solutions. Greed from the Top breeders selling out the best horses for the love of money, under the guise of helping other Caribbean countries to upgrade their sports of kings. Why do a breeder need to pass his yearling through the sales to qualify for certain races. Its like saying, if i dont kno someone in a certain area, i cant go there. I think its to keep the money among cerain society of people. Wht do u call tht.!!! The stalkions being presented at studs. Wht the heck are those, they are been marketed to the owners on buyers , not of their pass performance, but by wht their stallion dad performance. Smh. The stud fees are Ridiculous.Jam$140,000 for a crap stallion tht was paid US$2000- $5000 . Do the maths. Apprentices are charge up to jam$500.000 to enter the jockey sch. This is like selling Farmworker tickets by crooked politicians. Cho mi head a hott mi. Corruption to the core. The whole racing entity needs a turbulent make over.
Sweet Ruckus is off the monitor
Shinning hour run one of the fastest 8 furlong
Cracker was never the same, thought he was in a 4 furlong race.lol. the brief duel quickly frizzle out.lol.lol
One of the bravest apprentice against the big guns (jocks) in his haydays 👊🏽
The glory days of red man, Prince and Palmer! True A class horses competing not like the ones masquerading now as A class horses at Caymanas park!
Where's that reins man today Alphonso Henry
That's true about the riding skill
Nonsense. Basically you saying Fanna, Narry, Bimbo , Chinna,Slicer, Hosang and pumpkin head among many others riding style leave alot to be desired? The winning jockey on Risky Business W.Thompson went abroad and won over 3000 races. Hosang went to Canada and won 2 Championship. The list goes on. Basically there are 2 style of riding. The English man and the American style. The English man ride high and look arwark while the American ride flat and tight. Fanna and few others adopt the English man style . While Bimbo and chinna adopt the American style. These jockey at the track adopt the American style however they are no way in the caliber of those jockeys back then .
Nonsense
Chronicle!! Rip.. I grew up with him and his bro... Nickname ::Gleaner
The riding styles of the jockeys those days leaves a lot to be desired
I remember this day made a nice change frm Going Str8
can any one remember alphanso henry class of 86
Wow it’s crazy how much worse crops “whips were used so Much more then”.
Royal dad didn't beat anything much in his days . None of those horses he use to beat as a 3 year old went to A class . He was simply better than his age group. Nothing special about him. Talk about horses that dominated the top class.
She ride like a nan
LOOK PON DI GREAT FAN-DANGLES....😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
di way di race sweet ALL NOW ME STILL A BAWLL WARZONE!!!😭😭😭😭
I won the racing pool with ZALONDRINO....31pts 2 punters...$$$$$$$ all catch the win ticket $30. That was a big money ....😂 ...90/1
I care zero what they say one thing for sure they cannot remove your name from history you were the most technical the best of the best the one and only fanna G 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
This was Derby Day '86 when Prince Consort with Fanna O.D. trounced the opposition. Section 1 of the "C" class Watson Off Course Betting Trophy saw Risky Business with Winston "Winnie" Thompson for Jackson Hong getting the better of Just Reality (Slicer) and Nesah's Star with Patrick "Driver" Williamson, whilst Going Straight (Colin Maragh for Wayne Dacosta) won section 2 ahead of Hot Lips (Gary Santos for Andrew Jaghai), Serita (Des. "Quarrie" Smith for Jackson Hong) and True Patriot (Narry for D. Phillipps).
Respect @pelorusjack5461: In Sec. II, Hot Lips had Everton Miller up & True Patriot (Willard Gordon). Going Straight completed a double for Maragh and DaCosta, who had earlier won with Inspiration. All the other info is spot on. Always impressed that you recall these stats from memory.
@paggyD2024 Willard "Czar" Gordon aboard True Patriot 😆 🤣 He was very useful back in the day
You have good memory man!!!? I remember the 86 Derby but I don’t remember those races
@@pelorusjack5461 many thanks again for your contribution. I miss the handicap system.
@rohanpandohie6906 Yes, the handicap system was grand. Very competitive and I loved betting the lightly weighted free running sorts going long. Very lethal foes were they 😆
These days too many jockeys, too little horses, too many race days
Agreed with you . And just one half dead race track. Racing is backwards in ja
@anthonycgardner7774 You both old enough to be called half dead as well. That alone should provide your lame comments with context. 😅😅😅😂😂😂
Those 2 racing fan knows what they are commenting about, you letting off such a comment tell me you aren't following the racing long enough, our country belatedly NEED another Race Track.
Totally agree with you bro. You couldn't have said it any better. Neither could I. Some folks just love to Tear down jamaica.
Need some race specs from the racing encyclopedia 😂😂.
In those days there was a full field .. even the worst Jockey could get a mount ..
I was around in those days and u statement is a lie from the pit of hell there was never a time in racing where there were allways full feels
Yes he his rite, he's not saying all Ten races was full. If there was 10 races 7 or 8 had a field of 12 to 16 starters. Not like now. 6 to 10 starters out of 10 races. Wht part of, The pits of hell have you been hiding @
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE CESSARIO DERBY

what a easy victory
There's nothing better than to watch these horses is a joy lots of youth talking they never watch horses like these
Fana one of the best
Fanna is the most versatile hockey because he’s a gate expert, he can either sit with the pace or come off the pace and to give him an extra plus he’s very good around the turn and that’s what in many of his winners he kicked on out of the turn in front, another Jockey that was also very good coming out of the turn was Michael Lee, many people in Jamaica don’t know about him because he left Jamaica when he was an apprentice in the late seventies and went to Calder racetrack in Miami where he was a top rider and even won some championships, he once won 176 races in one season and set a record for Calder but all of fame rider Jerry Bailey broke it with 177 winners, Michael Lee set a record at Gulfdtream Park by winning 6 races one day and the same Jerry Bailey broke it by winning 7 races one day. Charles Hussey used to ride at Calder also but he was not that successful and even George HoSang was riding there too at the end of his career and won a lot of races, Allen Maragh was also a regular rider.
The great late Chinna Bartley
One jockey can't be so great, salute to Emilio Bimbo Rodriguez
Ettu needed a jockey like Bimbo
Narry one of the best rider we've seen at the park
Thank you sir 🙏

Yet there are fans who say is "press button" and "armchair" ride fanna get..few jockeys in the world could have measured that race in the way he just did.
The Poor Little Rich Girl and Khadullah Super Stake race is the one I would like to see that was a thriller with Barthley and J.Campines.
