Early game - Get a sniper rifle or bolt action rifle early so that you can defend against mortar raids. When raid comes WAIT for them to assemble their mortars then shoot at the raiders from a distance until they agro and run towards your base. Once you’ve dealt with the raiders you can then claim their mortars and reinstall them mortars in your base. This gives you access to mortars before you’ve researched them. You can buy shells from traders.

With all do respect, how is the "separate traps with doors" trick not an exploit? It clearly is exploitering a game mechanic. No one in reality would stick a bunch of doors out in an open field for the "friendly" guys to go through.

Oh that's a relief that related dwellers won't breed. I've taken pains to prevent this manually (complex naming conventions), so now I can just give them silly names for fun

my advice for future tips videos: take notes while you're playing, especially in early-mid game of things you were wondering but figured out how to do. it will be far more helpful than trying to think of whats important at the end. there is alot you probably would have included about progression in early game

How I see grinding vs story. Try not to grind too much before getting behind the wall into area 2. It is harder but not by a drastic amount. You get more loot and variety of materials to start upgrading. The main reason is that you’ll still be going through area 1 on your routes and this will give you more variety then spending so much time in the first biome.
