These are excellent tips! I did figure out about a third of them, but you had so many more I never thought of... thanks! As for making money later in the game, with the least time, the way that works best for me is this: Go to the auctions and look for cars that you know have a super high sale price. You want lower mileage, like under 100k if possible, and a good margin of condition on the body parts... like they should be under 80%. This gives you lots of room for improvement with just body part repair. Make sure you have the extra which lets you see the approximate value, and don't bid higher than maybe 2k above that. Maybe 5k over, but you are cutting into your profit after that. Now when you bring the car into the garage, strip all body parts and repair them on the table. Use the welder on the body and frame. I've made, in minutes, between 30k and about 60k credits many times. I don't bother buying headlights, taillights or glass for them, BTW, it does not add enough profit to make the time worthwhile, IMO. The point is, body repair is the fastest, cheapest and lowest risk way to add value. In short order you will have 500k- 800k credits, and can buy and build all the cars you like, and pour your time and love into those.

I will not purchase extra's for this game, no way.

New player (only a day or two experience currently) and i havent seen anyone else mention using air conditioners as a heating source. It felt like an obvious cheese to me and I hadnt had the opportunity to properly test it in play (current goal is cave dwelling with air conditioners to both cool my fridge and heat my greenhouse)

14:34 this trick works with humans too, but you need to clean the area as well because they'll get the negative moodlet from witnessing the residue or remains.

I always rename the colonists, but I try to give them at least somewhat euphonious names - like Merchanta, Sociarta, Farmera, Huntress, Doc, AniMe, MediMina, Craftess, Creator, Cook, Builda etc.

The "laser wepons" tree is a gimmick in all X games, which sadly makes kind of infuriating. 94 XEU - Laser weapons 95 XTFTD - Gauss( damn I love it) X:Apocalypse - ? Afterlight - lasers Aftershock - sonic(?) All of them are essentially pointless, rather than proper gap-filler, since player can jumpstart on alien tech just like that. Rather than it being a long process to udnerstand alien tech.

the problem is the game can become soft locked on story mode with the girl whom is sick your unable to go places both runs of mine made this problem happen.

If you want to play 'sandbox mode' but still get orders name your save file 'cms2021promo' (must be new, and set to easy or normal mode. You also have to skip the tutorial.) you get exactly enough skill points to get everything, 500,000 Credits and can start all your quests and orders normally including story orders.

The difference between bronze/silver/gold is how quickly it gets damaged by rain

A bit late, but if you have the option of killing something without explosives you can sell their corpses to improve early game economy a LOT. Most basic enemy corpses generally aren't important, so sell away. Look at chrysalids for example, if you kill 4-5 per terror mission, that's 20-25 credits. Now do that every month, and you have notably more monet throughout the game

I just got this on cheap sale because I fancied playing a new game and the latest Threat Interactive YT vid about the game's being top notch graphics-wise piqued my interest, although I hae to say, I wasn't holding out much hope for the game based on the description, but on a whim I gave it a chance. And yeah, it really is a top game. On paper you might think meh, another zombie sandbox game (as you say), but something about the virtual world (very varied, amazing weather changes, etc.) the characters, the way the mechanics are sort of finely tuned to flow into each other (e.g. gathering, survival, crafting, etc.) makes it extremely moreish and addictive. I'd say it's one of the best, most immersive post-apoc/zombie/survival(ish) games out there. The story is also very, very well told in context. It's not an enormously originaly story, but a lot of thought has obviously gone into the pacing of the way it's revealed and finding out what happens next starts to be part of the addictive draw of the game, especially as you come to care about the characters Another plus point is that it's an incredibly well-optimized game that'll run like butter even on a potato, and it also looks amazing anjd very, very crisp visually, maybe even the best "outdoorsey" typpe of game yet made - which really adds to the sense of realism and immersion, one's sense of "bering there."
