what is the difference between the markers you put on the turning table and the markers you put on the object? do they have a different purpose?

I haven't had too much luck with dovetails from the slicer, but it's a feature in mine. Have you tried just importing a single STL and then using the slicer's dovetail feature?

Thank you, Payo. I also tried Raptor and VEGA, but I felt a bit weary with all the reviews from Shining that were provided free of charge, as they all seemed overly positive.

hacks! lol thank you for sharing! Calibration on so many scanners can be a pain. I blame Faro for starting that and letting it be ok in the market.

I bought creality Ferrer scan pro. Make an overview of how to scan them using markers. A wrench and a cylinder. It is very desirable to test it. Otter is understandable, better but 2 times more expensive. As for beginners. You have a very cool review

Do you know if there are big improvements in the performance of the raptor with the software updates they bring out? I know the raptor is pretty new and just bought one ( waiting on delivery). I do a lot of 3d cad work and hope.this will save me time on reverse engineering. Hope I made the right choice. It is tripple the price of the otter So hope it is more capable.

If theres a Gyroscope in the Otter, why Creality dont just Display the Angle on the Monitor when Calibrate

Another excellent video! Many thanks for your honest opinion. Shining should take your feedback to improve the vega. Any blame on your review and comparision is not acceptable from my perspective. One of the best 3d scanning channel, keep on the excellent work. Any plan to review RaptorX and MetroX?

I have the same problem with my vega with those dragon skin artefacts. The problem is while scanning you can’t undo the frames when you miss the tracking. It keeps scanning junk.

Payo, is it ok to mix different size reflective markers or should they be all the sime size? Which ones should be sticked on the balck mat that comes with the Raptor, the 3mm or the 6mm ones?

Thank you Payo for comparing the scanner to what you wanted, intead of listening to Shining 3D / Einstar that was just looking for free advertisement for their product. The best thing you can do for us consumers, is to keep these videos online to make sure less people are paying for poorly performing products. (That being said I did purchase/pay for the cr-scan otter myself after having look at your reviews from a few months ago, and I can fully agree with them, the cr-scan otter is a really good performing NIR-scanner!)

It works on 3060 and i5 16gb ram Laptop so its not bad.

I hope now you can understand the reasons behind the petition created by Shining3D scanner users. We believe that it is important to bring this issue to public attention. As you may know from the Reddit posts, instead of addressing the legitimate concerns of their customers, Shining3D has resorted to making unfounded accusations. Despite providing evidence of multiple issues with the Einstar scanner, which have been corroborated by other users, the company has chosen to create multiple fake accounts to discredit our community.

I have the vega and can confirm that it struggles with shiny metallic surfaces and to a lesser degree dark objects. I have not seen any artifacts in any of my scans though and the accuracy and accuracy is usually around .1-.2 of a mm for what its worth. It's definitely a little undercooked to especially the hd mode which requires you to scan uncomfortably close to objects resulting in poor tracking.

it's embarrassing that they're trying to say you were paid.. they've really gone down hill from a "trustworthy" source. I've been saying the same thing you are in these videos just based off what has been shown in the vega groups (which i got booted from for asking questions) the vega really doesn't look comparable to either the miraco or otter lol theres a reason why i have both of them for my "go to" scanners. Not to mention all their "glowing" reviews are VERY similar verbiage as well as all of their insults to other scanners. almost like it's just the same person copy and pasting it ..
