100 Year Old Brick Walkway Timelapse Transformation
It's been years since I've been wanting to do this project. Just never either got to it or it was winter time which made it harder. But I'm finally done! Cool thing about this project is that the brick I used is from the old chimney in the home, so over 100 years old worth of brick. Now that's amazing! Figured it would be an great touch the the entrance of the home! Enjoy!

Small Bathroom Timelapse Reno

So I've built the attic loft space from nothing, now it was time to build a half bathroom upstairs right next to the two rooms. I envisioned a subway tile wall with some unique flooring to make it stand out. Pretty pleased with how it turned out! ○ Here is the timelapse video of the attic renovation Incredible Attic Transformation in 5 Min | Timelapse DIY Attic Loft Renovation ➡️ ua-cam.com/vid...
Amazing Gingerbread Church Build Timelapse
Переглядів 5983 роки тому
This holiday season our family had a gingerbread competition. My wife and I recently watched the Netflix show Outlander and thought we should build something from there, and a few weeks ago we visited Charleston. We loved the white church there too (St. Michael's Church Charleston). So we decided to put the two ideas together! The Comrie Church in Scotland and St. Michael's Church in Charleston...
Build Your Own Butcher Block Countertop DIY | Timelaspe

While building the laundry room (not too long ago), we wanted to install butcher block for our countertop for the pantry side and above the washer/dryer. I've never done anything like this before so I wanted to give it a try. First I found someone local that milled slabs of maple. Brought it home ripped it into around 2" sticks then glued them together. NOTE: One thing I didn't do right was the...

Tough Stains in Your Shower/Tile?

So this pretty much happens to all showers. Eventually! The shower or bath tub begins to build up some calcium or lime. Or in general it gets old looking over time because the grout color fades. I am planning on a very similar flip in my mom’s home! However, I want the knee walls to be doors for storage. Therefore, I will not dry wall behind the knee walls. Is there a way to “seal” the whole attic so critters don’t find their way in? I figured un-dry walled portions may be more susceptible to bugs and mice coming in? Please don’t come for me in the comments if I sound dumb, I’m attempting to teach myself everything I need to know about doing this flip. Thank you

    I cannot thank you enough for the video, which motivates me to renovate my attic. I live in Boston, MA, which requires a permit to renovate an attic. I wonder how you dealt with the permitting process that requires architectural and engineering designs? How long did the permitting process take you and how much you paid an architect and an engineer for their designs?

    Just wondering did you secure the roof at the peak together with ridge straps on top because there are no collar ties at the top third of the roof. If not may want to consider going on the roof and doing to protect from uplift since the collar ties were removed at some point.

    This turned out beautiful. I would have done one extra thing and add invisible sliding drawers from the side walls to utilize that remaining space, or it could be cabinets. Yes, you would have had to close them in but it would have been worth it for extra storage up there. Vertical shiplap on the side walls would hide the drawer or cabinet seams.

    Hi Tim - I have a couple of questions about this (hope you don’t mind answering). First what dimension of wood did you use? Are those 1x6 boards or 1x8 boards? Second how did you screw everything together? Were you creating pocket screw holes or just screwing the boards in at an angle or were you using nails? Thanks for this, my husband and I are looking at doing something similar to this in our semi-bungalow. We love how your project turned out. Super sharp!

      @HomeMadeNew 2 місяці тому

      Hi, sorry. Month late. So original floor was 2x6 original 2x6 so more like actual 2” and closer to 6”-7”. Not like current wood. I used screws some and nails but liquid nails for wood too to keep it solid. So just have to reenforce really well
