Keep it up!
You guys are really MIA huh?
Brutus! We have a few videos in the works for you. Our professional lives have been keeping us pretty busy. It was so easy during the pandemic - all we had was time, haha! Have you been riding?
I STILL wanna know how Mike is touching the ground at his height when I'm 5'7" and struggling!!! I have a 27" inseam, bike is lowered an inch, have a Guts Racing -20mm seat foam as well and I still can barely touch ONE FOOT. If my left foot is on the peg, I can barely get my right toes on the ground. I wanna know Mike's secret!!! LMAO! I was always wondering how Ricky Carmichael did it at what I hear is 5'6" in boots......found out he had the subframes cut at least 1" on his bikes and slammed the rear (he calls it "choppered out a bit"). And at least one of his Suzuki's had nearly zero seat foam. Seriously, I only did a lowering link to get more comfortable on the bike and now I am gonna get the bike back to stock (which of course will raise the seat again!) as I'm racing faster and hitting bigger jumps.
Where the heck are you guys? You're killing me!!! 😁😁😂😂🤣🤣
The quick shift feature supposedly needs to be activated by the dealer at a cost after you have spent the money on the map switch !! Very dodgy
Mine got activated instand
Brutus! Good to hear from you. Glad to hear the 350 is good for you! We’re gonna get a ride vid done we have to change the plastic as you heard. Thanks for all the support!
Sounds great! Looking forward to it!
Doing ok? hahahahahaha Ok, I'm done now!
How are you guys?
We are good. Ready for more good weather so that we can ride!
@@motorbros I was wondering where all my Motor Bros love was! hahahahaha
Hi!
How many bikes do you and Mike have now? I'm trying to make separate comments to help the algorithm!!!
…. ☝️🤚… maybe 7? Still counting…
@@motorbros SEVEN!!! WOW! When are you gonna do a long video on all the bikes? Detail nerds like me love that stuff! Or do a separate video on each bike.... talk about everything, mods, specs, what you like and don't like etc. REAL bikers love that info! Also, maintenance vids are always popular it seems!
How's the '23 SX-F 350? Loving mine! Currently have it done up in the '24 AEO factory graphics from SKDA (Orange plate and front fender, fading to black for the rest) and I think it looks badass! I do want to get some of those new cut out engine mounts the '24's got to help the stiffness of the chassis. I think a few companies make some titanium mounts with more flex as well.
We want to see!
@@motorbros I can't attach a pic to a comment...(well..... I don't know how to! LOL)...I can send it to an email if you want to see. I think it's sick and it gets tons of compliments!
I'm gonna take a chance here and put all my faith into a fellow Paesan and pray I see a ride video within the next week!!! LOL
Fingers crossed!
@@motorbros One can always dream! LOL
Holy SH*T!!! They're back!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
What's going on guys? All good? Where are the vids?
Brutus! We are here. Life and weather have been happening and getting in the way of us riding. If the weather holds you, we are going this weekend but it is calling for rain. Have you been out riding? How is your bike?
162psi -15psi in the shock pumps air tube 147psi in the fork! No air escape from the actual fork its the hose inflation 15psi that drops, like if you were to re attach the shock pump it would be at a lower psi as would have to account for what ms stored in the hose
Way over half way of the red circle 😅 that's how mine is to with one liter.
🤣
Do you need to open the bleeder valve after you fill them?
No, close after filling.
It REALLY is amazing how far you both have come in one year! VERY inspiring!!!
Thanks!
CONGRATS on 1 year! No clue how I missed this as I was about to comment and say how you all are killing me with the lack of Motor Bros. uploads! FYI....just now got my SX-F 350 back from the shop since MAY!!! All the time waiting on a fuel tank! Unreal! Bike is literally one year old in a month and I have 3.5hrs on it!!! SMH SMH SMH! Now that I'm finally about to be riding regularly, lets speed up these video uploads huh? Come on Pizza, help a fellow Paisano out! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Brutus! It’s killing us too! Rest assured, we have more bikes in the shop than we have time to ride them but we will be getting back to it. Glad to hear you finally received your 350! We got you 🇮🇹
have you been back? they reversed the track and its like a whole new run... very fun and flowy!
Yes, it’s great! Scrubndirt is a great track.
where can i get a shirt?! does it have a logo on the back? i'd wear the shit out of it!
Haha! That’s awesome. We haven’t started an online store yet. Email race@fullthrottle.mx
Great vid from you guys! I had a nasty case a year ago (elsewhere) and am trying to get back into hitting it harder... youre a great inspiration... fundamentals... thats where its at hope to see you out there one day!
Thanks, brother! Get after it! Glad to hear we inspire you.
I know this sounds dumb. But does the ktm 250f sound like the 4 stroke in the distance like the deep note. Is it just gear selection or? I mean the sound where you talked about the tank of the Mc the 4 stroke in the distance. It's at 3:16 in the video❤
That sounds more like a 450.
@@motorbros I know just wondering if a 250f could also have that deep Note when in the right gear. And not a revving sound constantly?
I don’t think is naturally as deep as the sound you are hearing but also not as revving as your are thinking. Hope that helps!
@@motorbros helps alot man. I know it isn't as deep just worried about it. Thanks for the info hope you can get a ktm 250f on the channel
Anyone getting good sized metal flakes at 32 hours! 2023 ktm 350 xcf i have thin magnetic shavings 1/4 inch long
No, we haven’t experienced that. Sounds odd. Are you running with enough oil?
What bikes are you guys riding now?
Jonathan rides the GASGAS 250 and the KTM 350. Mike rides the YZ 250.
Great vid guys! I am a 45 year old that hasn’t ridden for 10 years! I was very comfortable on 2 strokes back in the day but getting back into it I am torn between a 250f and the 350f.? As I said I am 45 years old 5’10 and around 183lb what would you suggest? Thank you!
Hi Stu, the KTM 350 is an incredible bike and we think, long term, you’d be happier there. 250’s are great but it might leave you wanting more power once you are back riding consistently.
@@motorbros cheers lads!! Keep up the good work! Loving it from the UK
Congratulations on your first anniversary. I’m looking forward to continuing to follow your journey!
Thank you!
Pleasant ride
Dude!!! You're killing me already! I was expecting bare minimum weekly vids to watch here! LMAO! What's going on, any vids coming soon? Shop still has my 350 as the fuel tank was backordered til mid Aug!
New one coming Friday! 🙌
You don't drain the oil out of the lower drain hole? Especially on the first couple oil changes?
Yes, lower drain hole
@@motorbros, The one on the bottom of the engine? The video did not show that nor did it mention it.
Watch at 1:29 in the video
@@motorbros, I'm talking about the one on the bottom (under side) of the engine more forward from the one that faces the rear wheel.
According to what we were told, that is used for rebuilds and not necessary for oil changes.
My 23.5 MC450F seems like QS doesn’t work anymore. I liked riding with it. Then one time I went out it feels hard to shift like QS is off.
Did you contact your local dealer?
@@motorbros haven’t had time. I had a last minute hour to ride before a week away from home. That’s when it occurred
Ahh, gotcha. When you get a chance, take it in to have it looked at.
Do you know how to calibrate the quickshifter?
@@renatolarafaria5217 yea I did it. It still does it. I’m pretty sure I figured it out. If I short shift it doesn’t happen. If you read the manual it has a stated rpm range that it works in. It’s hilariously low. It’s fine for the 450 but it wouldn’t be worth using and shifting that low on a 250.
@Jonathan...Hey man, I just replied to your video at that other KTM comparison channel. First...great to hear from you, how is it going? Any new bikes? How's the new GasGas? Still riding the SX-F 350? Fill me in please! So, my bike is leaking through the bolt hole where the tank bolts to the frame! I leaned the bike over for something and saw it leaking but I couldn't see where from. I just happened to take the seat off for something and that entire hole where the bolt is was filled to the top. At first, I thought it had to be water as I washed the bike recently. I soon realized it was gas, but I'm thinking "how the hell would gas get in there?" Dealer said they've never seen anything like this. I had video and photos but the dealer also filled it up and put a time lapsed vid on it to send to KTM. They filled the tank, cleaned out that hole and said you could see gas beginning to leak in there within an hr. They sent it to KTM and the dealer wrote up that the tank was 100% DEFECTIVE and this leak is certainly not caused by a crash. So....I figured it would be cut and dry. We're talking a $120 tank plus 15 minutes of labor!!! Maybe $200 KTM has to eat. Then KTM tells the dealer the tanks are backordered til mid August!!! So, the plan was I take the bike home, just don't fill it up all the way, ride it, then when the new tank comes in, bring the bike back in, they install the new tank and done deal!!!........Well.......................................... NOPE! KTM tells the dealer they want them to send the leaking tank to them. Now, this means I have no bike for nearly two months. To say I'm not happy is an understatement. I'm asking the dealer why does KTM NEED to see the tank before replacing it? They have photos and all kinds of video showing the leak and how the gas accumulates in that hole. The dealer even writes an email saying that I'm missing two hare scrambles (not true but sounds good! LOL) and that I'm beyond upset as the bike is nearly brand new and now it's in the shop for TWO MONTHS after I just paid $11K. They didn't care! Not only that, the tank can be purchased at AOMC and I think a few others stores have it in stock. So the dealer asks KTM if they (dealer) can buy the tank elsewhere, figure out the finances and this way at least I get my bike back a month early......KTM says NOPE! Now I'm in disbelief and quickly beginning to despise KTM as a company which is really sad. I spoke with a customer service rep and said I spent an extra $2K just for a KTM over a Kawai or Honda or Yamaha....all so I could avoid situations JUST LIKE THIS. I even told the customer service rep that I had to convince my wife that KTM was worth the extra $$$ as it had all premium parts and a solid reputation. They still didn't care and I told them I would go to every reputable forum and put in big letters "My KTM customer service experience" LMAO No wonder why Cooper Webb left KTM! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Brutus. First sorry to hear about your situation with the gas tank. I can say with all the bikes we have gone through and our relationship with KTM products I have never heard anything like what you have going on. I would suggest maybe going on eBay look for a replacement gas tank for the moment to not lose your riding time. As far as us we have not gotten any new bikes but we have something special coming at the end of the year. Mike and I have been riding and working on some new product reviews. Videos will be coming soon we have been tied up with our real world jobs though for the moment. But stay tuned we got some good content to share soon. One thing to think about is asking the dealer to give you a tank off another bike. I had a situation with my yz 250fx when the dealer delivered it to the house it didn’t have a computer chip in it. I had the dealer pull the chip off another bike in the showroom and give it to me so I could ride. If they’re a good dealer they may do it. I hope you get back in the saddle soon. Check out our instagram we posted recently a reel showing Mikes amazing progression in riding. He is killing it, he practices more than me haha.
Great video, thanks guys. New subscriber
Thanks! Great to have you, bro!
Jamesen the jump was 3:25 and 5:06
The reason the psi shot up so rapidly is you didn’t seat the pump hose completely. Screw it on further. . It normally takes 1-2 pumps for a 1 psi increase….
Good call on that!
Is it the same on 2023 KTM450 SXF? I’m 143 lbs with gear. Wondering what pressures should be? As well as clickers on both forks And shock? Any advice?
Set air pressure at 140 to start and see how it feels then start adjusting clickers
what was ur clicks on high speed, low speed and rebound
They are set to the middle recommended settings per the manual
I just discovered this channel , and I have seen y’all at highland I live 15 minutes from there.
That's awesome! We will most likely be there next weekend. If you're there - stop by, we'll hook you up with some free stickers.
@@motorbros will do
BTW, you all are so lucky to have a track that for the most part seems free of traffic. I just went to a track here in Austin Texas and no joke they had approx. 35-40 bikes on one track. There were a couple of group lessons going on at the same time also. Oh, and this was a week day!!! I get so jealous when I see an empty track as I'd kill to be able to actually work on things like cornering, attack position and jumping without feeling like I'm holding anyone up. Not sure how it is by you but here (at least this track) you get the occasional douchebag (sorry!) who wants to ride right on your ass to push you along and let you know he's better. (It's all good though.....some day I'm gonna flatten that dudes tires when he's in the pit! lololol)
Are there any other tracks in your area? Check out fullthrottle.mx - there may be some tracks on there that you aren’t aware of. Also, have you tried to jump into any lessons? We have done Moto Academy a few times and that has been a fantastic way to learn and practice. Also, MX Factory is in Texas. Worth considering.
Trying to help out your YT algorithm!!! LOL I'm torn between the FMF or Akrapovic slip on for the SX-F 350. I like the FMF note better but that Akrapovic is sweet! Most of what I've seen is it's a waste to buy the full exhaust as KTM put tons of R&D into the new header and apparently it's hard to beat.
We appreciate all your support!
@@motorbros Always happy to help a fellow Paisano! LOL
Tell me how the bike compares to the SX-F 350. Is there a big difference in power (likely much more torque in the 350). But does the bike overall feel close to the same power as the 350 or is there really a big difference? Did you buy this bike? What a great looking one! Love the color!
We’re going to do a comparison vid of the 250 and 350 soon.
@@motorbros AWESOME! Looking forward to that!
Sorry if I asked this previously, what all do you do to your suspension? I weigh 235lb with gear and looking at a RaceTech 5.2 spring. Can you tell me which springs and size you use and also what PSI you run in the forks. Did you do anything to the front forks regarding suspension?
Hey Brutus! Follow the race tech suspension guide for rear shock spring. We’re running 130 psi in the fork after the suspension job.
@@motorbros 130 psi? Wow, that's really low considering the manual call for 154 for like a 175lb guy. What did you have done to your forks that you're able to run 130 psi?
In my humble opinion, this is the best looking bike being made....gotta love the red frame with the blue seat!
It is beautiful!
They're back!!!
Does the newer 359's feel lighter than 450? I rode a 20&21 and they felt more like a 450 than a 250 handling wise ..
It does feel lighter than the 450.
I weigh 240 . How many pounds should I put in my forks to start with .
Good question. I went to a suspension specialist for my weight. Good idea to do the same.
Yo!!! Where you guys at (Said with my NJ Italian accent! LOL) Help a fella out with my question below (or above....wherever it is) LMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁😁😂😂😂😂 Not sure if I ever told you Jonathan, but you have the best last name EVER! Just visited my mom in NJ (I'm in Austin Tx) and got my sicilian pizza (which you can't find anywhere!)
Bro, sorry! We need to give you a direct line - especially if you’re a pisan. Life seems to be getting in the way of the channel 😂. We have never had that happen but try turning your idle faster if it’s stalling and see if that changes anything. The idle may be too low. You may not be revving it out enough. You could switch to an electric, they don’t stall 😂.
@@motorbros First, thanks! You guys are awesome! No need to apologize. I think I told you (Jonathan) I'm about your age so I get what you mean about "life" getting in the way. Sadly, as we age, we experience health issues, parents become ill and even pass on....not an easy time of life IMHO. Seems I'm going to a funeral nearly every 6 months! Anyway, 100% ...last name is Morano...funny story, my wife and I went to Italy a few years ago and everyone told me that if I said my last name, I'd be treated like a king...I didn't get why....Turns out there's a famous Glass Company spelled MURANO (Like the Nissan) but pronounced the same as my name. Family is from Calabria (there's actually a town named Morano Italy!). Ok.....all that BSing to say...I got NO special treatment in Italy! hahahaha Although I heard Tony Soprano had a thing for Murano glass. Regarding the bike, I feel kinda dumb but I think I was just running out of gas. Hasn't done it since but it still has just died as soon as I went to hit the gas. That ever happen to you in the beginning? I've checked the idle and listened to many others and it seems spot on. Jay Clark from Dirt Bike TV is the one who said I may be out of gas! hahahahaha. It has 2hrs on it and I have no clue how much the dealer had in it but I could still see a bit at the bottom with a flashlight. I filled it up with Shell premium and it hasn't SLOWLY died like that one time, but I did have the two times after Idling for a few minutes, it stalled immediately as I turned the throttle. Who knows....maybe I should just ride the thing huh? LOLOLOLLOLOL Hope and pray all is well and the "life" issues are nothing serious!
Question.....when you did the oil change on the KTM 350, did you just use that one, 1 liter bottle? (meaning did you have to open another bottle and add a touch more oil?) Did that one bottle fill it up all the way? I believe I've read it needs like 1.1 (which would require opening another bottle). I have the same kit and getting ready to do my first oil change! As always, thanks in advance for the insight and wisdom!
Brutus, sorry we missed this. Use one bottle keep a lookout on the sight glass to when the oil level gets to the middle of the ring. How is the bike running for you?
@@motorbros All good! I know you guys are busy buying new bikes and Raptors and sh*t! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I got the oil thing sorted. For some reason, my kit (The KTM kit with oil filter and washer) comes with a 1.2liter bottle so I used most of it. All the other bottles sold separately seem to be exactly 1 liter.,,,instead of 1.2liter. Oil seems the be just about at the top when at running temp. Question....did your bike just arbitrarily stall a bunch (maybe 5 times total) when new? I only have 2.4hrs on the bike as I've only been able to ride in my yard so the bike has yet to be really broken in. When idling, it just stopped twice. Then yesterday, it was idling and I went to give it gas and it died immediately as soon as I touched the gas. Are these just the quirks of a new bike? Sadly I have yet to hit the track or trails but that's coming in a week! As always....THANKS!!!
I wish they went back to Steel frames on the Honda and add a 6 speed transmission on the CRF250RX.
That would be the move
for your drain plug do you use the new washer, because in the kit that i got there is a new one.
You can if you want but if it’s just the first hour oil change you can re use the washer
