Hi Varun, I'd say 12k is a good price - just make sure its in good condition, and check if the derailleurs are original and not clicky when you shift gears. Try adjusting the front suspension and see if they work good. Besides these, just make sure its not too old or too much worn out, and check the rims for any major dents - I think taking it for a short ride would make things very clear, and you must feel comfortable while riding it. If all of the above is good, I think its a really good deal and you should go for it! Probably ask for the copy of the bill, as this bike comes with a lifetime warranty on body, so that'd be a plus. After a lot of deliberation and research, I decided not to opt for second hand as I was not sure about the quality, rust, maintenance etc. I do not have any experience in cycles and thus not able to inspect them properly. So although it cost 10k extra (over the second hand Montra), I opted to purchase a new cycle instead. The one I finalized is the Cradiac XC900 for Rs.19000. This is a newer cycle edition as well (2023 vs Montra's 2017).

It wasn't the case with our piece, but could be specific to the one you received...nevertheless, don't think it should be an issue?

@@PedalPupper the issue is that it becomes very difficult to stretch it accurately. Force has to be applied, which can lead to damage to the piece as well as the phone. The sides of the phone can surely be scratched if the phone cover is not in place. Nice video by the way. Also review other tripods..

Hey! I think both are similar in terms of quality, but the 510 looks better aesthetically, might not matter much. However, 510 extends a few centimeters extra compared to 3130, so I think you should go for Syvo 510 model. However, both models are similar in terms of compatibility with phones, action cams and DSLRs, however not the best choice for DSLRs I would say.

Hey Priyansh, first of all - kudos to doing 30km daily! Let me answer your query now - no, for my Montra Rock I have never faced this issue, by god's grace it is running smooth. I however do regular maintenance and have also got my chain tighened as it loosens a bit after riding few hundred KMs. However, on my friend's Montra Metal, the repair person at Track and Trail did mention to replace her crankset and cassette - so we took a 2nd opinion from an experienced guy at Decathlon, and he said it wasn't required at the time, so we didn't get it replaced. I will suggest you do the same, as we personally felt it was a gimmick suggestion from the first person - they don't believe in repairing, they first off would suggest replacing parts, for sales maybe - so you can connect with someone at the nearest Decathlon store if available to get a clear opinion. Also, clean your chain and get proper lubrication (not too much) as that too causes the chain to slip at times.

There is a handle which works as a screw under the extension - you can use it to tighten the extender in place, and it will hold at that height. Look for it, unless you got a defecting product, in which case I believe you can exchange it within the allowed period. Hope that helps :)

You can, but I would recommend getting a tripod with more heavy weight to sustain and hold stably in the winds - this might get bit shaky in windy conditions!

This cannot be used as a monopod unfortunately - but for travel vlogging, yes you can use as long as you need a tripod's use! For windy conditions, I would recommend getting a bit heavy tripod! Apologies for such a late response!

This can be adjusted on both the sides, left and right. I'll suggest to install it on the right side because we mostly ride towards the left side of the road.

You can rotate the mobile holder mounted on the top - it has an adjustable grip, so it holds the phone in place, even when placed vertiically. Apologies for such a late response!

@Siddhart - The main difference is that 3130 is 50 inch tall, and 510 can go upto 55 inch. Also, the head mount design is a bit different for both. Other than that, there is no major difference in build or utility I believe, and the cost differs by around INR 100, 510 being on the higher value.

I definitely agree that Montra bikes are really good - haven't had any troubles myself with Rock 4.1 so far, and it's been around 3 years already, with all the stock fittings. There were some issues with Montra metal, as you would get to know in some of our videos that we posted on it - but that were also due to mishandling of the bike to some extent. All the best, and keep riding to good health and for a better environment!

@Shruti - Yes, it is good for long term use. Been using it for over 15 months now, no damage so far with decent handling on our part!
