    after you rpm is set just slow your ground speed to just load.

    • @DC9Douglas
      @DC9Douglas 21 день тому

      @rudy.bergeronsr.6192 the RPMs very quite a bit depending on thickness/patches of material and terrain/slope. Way more than my Bobcat skid-steers do. The mower was never ever run at 540 when it was on my 4320 Deere and has never had an issue with anything on it. The tractor also didn't alert me of overspeed. I tried to keep the ground speed around 5ish MPH. And with the RPM "set" on the Toolcat it oversped when stopping or maneuvering. I like the machine but it could be better for this application.

    How does the diesel do on hills with larger side discharge deck?

  • @gregbarr866
    @gregbarr866 6 місяців тому

    Your PTO over speed isn't anything to worry about. Its just telling you you are over speeding. Set your RPM so your PTO is at 540. Any faster can damage equipment. My 1999 JD tractor will flash PTO over speed and beep at me so if your JD dealer saya tractors don't do it then don't trust that JD dealer. No bulletins required. Probably covers it in the owners manual as well if you give that a read. Nice machine. Good luck.

    • @jaxturner7288
      @jaxturner7288 2 роки тому

      I wouldn’t know, but I can tell you after a decade of plowing in Michigan with srw, I see the dual boys and think, the only reason they are plowing with duals is because they have serious frequent trailer work to do with their truck and that was mainly what decided Drw over srw for them. I say that because in a 3/4 ton with a large plow and blower in the back with just descent tires is enough 99% of the time. With dedicated snow tires and 5-10 bags of salt/sand in the bed with the blower, it’s more than enough so I couldn’t see why the dually guys deal with the poor turning radius and extra wide hips for snow plowing, it would definitely be a hindrance and isn’t at all necessary so I assumed they were just a duel duty trucks with more important duties then just plowing snow because that definitely doesn’t require duals for enough traction.

    Hi, im looking for an aerator for my walker, I know you have a few, which would you recommend? thanks

    • @DC9Douglas
      @DC9Douglas 2 роки тому

      The Hooker is much easier for the Walker's to move and push up hills. My Caster-Core Feldman is significantly heavier and seems to wear out my Walker implement hitch lift. Also need a solid rear tire on the Walker when using the Feldman Turf-Vent Core-Vaster for rear weight and balance when reversing. Jaco Hooker breaks tines more frequently but they are pretty inexpensive and real easy to replace. Stay away from the Walker Perferator.

    • @DC9Douglas
      @DC9Douglas 3 роки тому

      I honestly think the Turf-Vent does a nicer job than my JRCO Hooker aerator, but the Turf-Vent is heavy...for the tractor to push, and for the implement hitch to lift. I can say that the weight of the Turf-Vent does "kill" the implement hitch electric lift ram quicker than the other attachments. Not instantly, but I have noticed a much shorter lifespan on the one implement hitch I use on my Turf-Vent. If you buy one, you'll need some weight in your hopper or utility's tray. Few bags of sand or dirt will help, in addition to a solid filled tail wheel. V-Bar tires also greatly help on any aerator attachment vs TurfSaver tires ect.
