I've been lucky enough to acquire a Sky Dancer quad line kite in great condition. Here's a short video of my first flight with it. Some describe them as a hybrid dual/quad kite due to its unusual flight characteristics created by its variable geometry frame. A short video of the Airbow quad line kite made by Tim Benson and designed by Andy Wardley. This kite was sold through bensonkites.com but is sadly no longer made due to the main horizontal rod being out of manufacture by Sky Shark. The video was filmed in Crow Park at the shore of Lake Derwentwater in the Lake District, UK.

This is a short video where I show the Rolf Zimmermann 6m inflatable Lobster Kite flying in gusty winds in the UK. It is held aloft by a Peter Lynn 8m2 Pilot Kite (improved 2022 version). The kite shown was made by Premier Kites in Taffeta nylon. It is now available from www.rz-kites.com

I am owner of a SKYDANCER-Kite from Dave Davies an I remember the first contact via eMail in 2004 to Dave direktly. Since 18 years I visit the RÖMÖ-Kite-Festival every year in September!
I enjoyed the spectacle and felt the pain of wrong way turbulent wind. Being able to fly at water's edge on grass is something special. No sand in the shoes.

They are not made in New zealand but in China

How did it turn out? I just bought a whale and a dolphin kit from a guy in a kite club that bought them and never put them together. I know how to use a sewing machine but im definitely no pro.
Excellent video - I am a beginner and I could follow. You kept me calm. I will fly my dolphin this weekend at a kite festival in Newport, Rhode Island. You had the perfect amount of patter and sped up bits. The only bad part is now I want to do more! Thank you.

Well done on an excellent video guide. I can't think of any suggestions to improve. Your calm and reassuring narration made me feel my first time sewing was not so bad after all. I think if I did another one I would have the confidence now to not overly pin every seam. Your puzzle regarding the throat flaps not matching inside seems to be common on all the kits. I have seen it suggested it allows for turning over and making a final hem but it's not in the instructions and hidden away inside I don't think it matters. I think only Freddy himself maybe able to solve the puzzle. I too dream of a room all my own for working.
