@brodeelo: Are you allowed to feed them with chocolates an any other sweets?

To clear the confusion, you can feed them only from inside the shack. You are protected by the wire and the monkeys won't have habit of taking food by attacking people outside. Monkeys don't have concept of "owning" something. If the food is in your hand, it's everybody's game and whoever strongest take it away. "When in Rome, do as the Romans do".

That's pretty amazing that the baby macaque was fascinated with you and hanging on your leg. I can't imagine that, that happens very often. At the end, the baby was hanging on your leg and staring up at you as if fascinated and in awe. And the little noises the baby kept making as if he/she were talking to you. I guess baby found a kindred spirit in you. Very awesome.

Well, it probably wasnt the father as they do not know which offspring are theirs and therefore do not usually protect infants..it may have been an older sibling..brother.

About the monkey not wanting the peel. I was feeding one and every time i had a piece of dried fruit it gently flipped my hand over. Wild!

Ito Y - If the park is selling bags with nuts and fruit, I suppose to use to feed the monkeys, then why not?

@@dr.donnawalter4380 yea, exactly, the conservationists sell you the bags of food, you're only allowed to feed them inside the cage. they get too aggressive if you feed outside the cage. its like a reverse zoo situation.

@jenntegt haha, yea, not the best plan. Actually the one that came running over was the father. The males have canines, making them way scarier when they open their mouth.

Very cute, but really? You try to WALK AWAY. Sure, mama monkey is totally going to be fine with you walking away with her baby.

Great video - I enjoyed watching it. I was just in Kyoto recently. Never had a chance to get to this park though. It looks like it was fun though.
