I don’t think you can buy an original valve as Ford only sell it along with the vacuum pump. Have a look on Amazon or eBay is your best bet.

@EcoboostOwen it don't fit mine the stock pipe is too small its way to loose and feel uncomfortable with just tightening the clamp to make it fit

@Gito77645 I fitted mine when I had the Airtec Stage 2 intercooler installed. The Airtec intercooler kit comes with 90 degree pipes to join the hoses. Could you not measure the internal diameter of the stock intercooler and buy something like in the link to connect them siliconehoseuk.co.uk/products/aluminium-90-degree-elbow?variant=42855986757863

@@Gito77645 www.airtecmotorsport.com/product/airtec-focus-mk3-1-0-stage-2-intercooler/ the pipe work and aluminium 90 degree elbows have a lot wider diameter for better flow. When you swap your standard intercooler for this Stage 2 one it’s a much bigger intercooler. The standard one is tiny.

I’ve done a video on it and how to install it, channel members have had early access to it and then it’ll go public on Sunday 👍🏻

Currently waiting for 02 sensor as i ordered the one you recommended but didnt realise it wouldnt fit the mk3.5 so hopefully they exchange it for correct one. My car is the 5 gear transmission 1.0 ecoboost if that makes any difference??

@bozzytron7722 without having a look I’m not too sure where your gear linkage would be. I’d have thought they were all in the same area. You could do with having someone changing the gears and you having a look under the bonnet to see where the sound is coming from when the gears are being changed. Also read the video description, you need a slightly different short shifter I’ve left the link to it.

​@EcoboostOwen thanks for the help mate appreciated i haven't even received a reply from them yet I have tried changing the gear and cannot see anything moving it seems to be coming from underneath the engine possibly I'm gonna have a look as it's going on a ramp soon for the exhaust.

@@Gito77645 you need a full custom performance turbo back exhaust system. Which is a large bore down pipe, 200 cell sports Catalyst etc

Ive bought a 4mm and a 6mm one way non return valve, and you’ll need two clamps which are 10mm for either side of this valve.

I think it’s a 4mm but I’ve got a 4 and a 6mm just incase. The two clamps you need are size 10mm

It was definitely the vacuum pump valve as the orange diaphragm had fallen apart when I checked. Now with the new valve installed the car is much better. However these aftermarket valves off eBay/amazon don’t tend to last long before they fail.

What were your cars symptoms? Maybe you can help me out lol

@thecutecat2555 symptoms were: intermittent poor acceleration •poor mpg •intermittent or total loss of boost •loss of power going up hills •poor driving experience overall .No boost

@EcoboostOwen yeah they were my symptoms too , felt very nice the day after I put the new one in but now seems to be the same so must be something else going on

@@Gito77645 my 2018 1.0 is burning off oil somehow. Cylinders/head are good. So are my sensors and turbo. can’t seem to find the cause. These damn ecoboosts don’t even have an egr valve I could check

Have you checked the valve again, as it’s not a Ford part the aftermarket ones tend to not last long and fall apart. I’ve just bought a one way inline non return valve. It’s basically a fix instead of keep putting in cheap valves off eBay etc.

Which part are you referring to mate?

@EcoboostOwen the ball joint that controls the steering mine feels loose and I thinks it's the ball joint from doing some research online

@Gito77645 not too sure about the Ceuk torque mount, I have the uprated Pumaspeed one which is an 80a durometer bushing. The higher the durometer, the stiffer the bushing. This is when you’ll get some vibration in the cabin but it makes the car feel more put together and slightly better 0-60mph and it’s better to drive. The standard torque mount is around 70a durometer. So depends on the durometer of the torque mount, 75a would be inbetween stock and a harder ride.

I was going to do the online one way valve fix but noticed a vacuum pump valve on Amazon for £9 that had afew good reviews. Only time will tell, but if this one fails I’ll be putting in the one way valve fix.

No problem, it’s such a simple check to do before spending big money finding what the issue is. The eBay ones aren’t that good and don’t tend to last but I’ve installed one from Amazon which has afew positive reviews.

I’ve been looking everywhere and found some things that say they 100% fit but then others I’m unsure. My thinking is the mk8 fiesta & mk4 focus st line have the same engine and there’s more for the fiesta than the focus so maybe they’d fit both 🤷🏼‍♂️

@TheGamesMasterx yeah they could do, message the company you’re buying the parts from. And ask the If those parts will fit your car.

I found the same with my 1.0 ecoboost, I had to go my local Longlife exhausts and get a custom performance turbo back exhaust system made. With it being custom I could choose the sound I wanted, mid sport sound, which sounds pretty good for a 1 litre. You have to watch out getting a system that sounds like a fart can with it being a 1 litre engine. It’s best to get a custom system and choose the sound you want 👍🏻
