Kensi: "promise me you would be patient with me" And Deeks really kept his promise when she was injured in sixth season and she was frustrated by her own disability and rehab.

Deeks wants her to put his frozen dead body in her living room to fend off Kensi's dates even after his death or to protect her.

@stinka4079 We all saw that early on, and that was always the writers' plan, and that did happen - Nell ended up as the Hetty 2.0, younger version. And I love the fact that despite the actress leaving 2 seasons before the series finale, they still got her back in the final episode and it's clear Nell became like Hetty, with her own team. But the part that kinda sucks is that she had a different team, I would prefer if she and Eric stayed the whole time - the entire series, and if Nell took over directly from Hetty after Hetty's retirement, as Linda Hunt was getting older and older with each season, and her screen time kept getting reduced because clearly, she couldn't keep up with the very demanding schedule of the prime show with 24 episodes per season. So I'd say that part sucked, that they didn't simply retire Hetty, like in season 11 or 12 when Hunt was no longer able to commit, and made Nell her successor, and thus kept Nell and Eric actors for the whole show. But that's life and there is always a risk that actors would leave before the final season if you have such a long-running show. And that happened as Nell and Eric's actors wanted to try different things. But still, they wrapped it all up nicely in the final of the show, exactly when they brought back Nell actress and made it clear that Nell is the new Hetty, with her own team. She also mentioned Eric, and they are still together, so the writers also hinted at the possible reunion between them all: Sam, Callen, Deeks, Kensi, Hetty, Nell, and Eric, so fans definitely can imagine that. And so I believe after the final episode, they found Hetty, Hetty retired, Nell came back with Eric to LA and took over a team, and Kensi possibly had some new, safer role as she got pregnant at the end, so she for sure had to stop doing agent/sniper job, at least for a while. Overall, NCIS LA wrapped up things very nicely, and honestly, I'm happy it ended on a high note. Because too many popular TV shows go on actually too long, actors from the main, original cast are no longer fully in it and end up leaving, as a result, the whole story becomes messed up with some new people coming in, and quality dropping. And this, in my opinion, happened to the original NCIS - it's going on too long now, 20 + years, teams and people keep changing, and the chemistry and excitement are no longer fully there. So in that regard, NCIS LA is also superior to the original NCIS because they didn't make it too long, they wrapped their story nicely with most of the original cast in the season finale, and they gave us the hint that the whole original team is going to reunite, and work together after. And that's how you end the show - on a high note when nothing can be messed up. For me, NCIS LA was always better than NCIS, not just because LA had this perfect ending, but also because, in my opinion, the LA team had way better chemistry, the stories were way more exciting and entertaining, and most importantly, LA had a superior couple in Densi! The LA writers gave us a truly brilliant love story while the original NCIS only teased us with Tiva and f up their story, it's a fact! Original NCIS simply waited too long to deliver on the Tiva promise and get them together, as a result, they did smth I hate the most about TV shows: they gave viewers an amazing build-up, a huge promise, and then the result was nothing, zero, nada. So NCIS LA over the original NCIS all the way!

@diamondchris6491 From the start, the writers constructed Kensi as this hardcore, beautiful female agent, who was brought up by her soldier father; then after his murder, she was homeless for a long part of her life, so she had to learn how to survive on her own, and was always very tough and also closed emotionally. Deeks, even tho he also had a difficult childhood with his abusive father whom he shot when he was 11, still had a fantastic mom and was not homeless, so he always had love and a secure home around him and so he grew up to be more open emotionally, and more easy-going than Kensi, with a great sense of humor, at the same time he was still strong, skillful & very confident man. And that mix attracted Kensi to Deeks in the first place. She started to open emotionally thanks to him, and that episode, with the 'frozen lake' metaphor, from which this scene is from, exactly showed that. Kensi hit him here because she was afraid of her own, very strong feelings for Deeks after they slept together for the first time. She didn't want to fall deeper in love because of her fears (fear of complications as their job is very dangerous), and seeing Deeks so vulnerable and not able to take a shot when she was in danger ( after they slept together she became his prime concern, so he was afraid he would miss and hurt her in the process, he started to over analyze things), made her even angrier because she understood he fell very deeply in love with her too, already. She was afraid, and couldn't handle her feelings and this whole situation, because she was always more emotionally closed as I wrote earlier. So by making her hit Deeks so hard and react this violently, the writers wanted to convey all of this- so in reality, it was an actual sign of Kensi's deep love for Deeks and her inability to deal with it. This is why at the end of this very episode, Kensi said to Deeks that they would talk about it, 'their thing', and she promised him she would get better at this, he just needs to be patient with her. So yeah, this punch was too hard, but at the same time, it was all so beautifully written and very meaningful!

I wish did had manned up and told Kensi how his feelings for her extended far past their partnership, it would have knocked Kensi back on her heels but honestly she felt the same and wanted to hear Deeks say it, she didn't have the confidence at this point to say it like she'd gained by the time she proposed
