This is great advice for beginners. The amount of people that quit is around 90%. It's that high. For all beginners, take his advice and stick with it. "Everyone" will find that they can play. Like he says, play what you like and don't just learn scales and chords only. Learn the basics, to start, and fill in your practice by learning the chords to your favorite songs to keep you interested and learn more as you go. Everyone is different and we all learn at a different pace. When learning anything new, you get out as much as the time you put into it.
