Hope you went to Palm Valley, it's spectacular
The sound is awful get a better microfon.

Thanks for sharing Brian, lovely images.👍
@@michaelbierbaum-z5x many thanks Michael 🙏. Thanks for watching 👍
The Stanley chasm certainly captures the colours of Australia.
@@barryaitken9761 it sure does Barry. You don't need saturation sliders here ha ha 😃
Gorgeous Brian, love those reverse shots in the Gap 👍
Many thanks Paul - always appreciated. You need to look over your shoulder at all times eh, ha ha!
Another ripper Brian! Your images always look so much better than mine!
Many thanks Lefty! Ha ha - that's only until we start pointing the camera straight up - that's when I become your 'Padawan' 😉
Well done mate. Another great video, taking us on a lovely photographic journey.
Many thanks John - much appreciated and thanks for watching.
Sun was a bit high by time you reached Standley Chasm.
I had actually planned it that way. As the chasm is quite long and narrow, I was trying to maximise the amount of light in there to bring out the colours. Not having been before, I was thinking that it would be a little more photogenic in the sunlight than in shadows. Oh well...... 😉
Simply can’t appreciate how you discern which shots to include. You have shown us so many great comps. That said the last is certainly a winner. Keep ‘em coming and safe travels. 🙏🙏
@@gsly8203 hey thanks Gary - much appreciated 🙏 It has been a fun trip so far and there's so much more to come. All the very best for 2025!
Awesome collection, Brian. Must be so enjoyable going back through such a wide variety of shots from such a wide variety of locations. Love that variety across the shots. My favourite shot of the bunch is possibly going to have to go to the gorge shot around the 16:30min mark. But they're all great... including the wildlife rippers too. Great year in photography!
Many thanks Geoff - really appreciate it. You can probably tell from the video how excited I was to have found that gorge so I have a particular soft spot for that shot - there were so many more too that day, ha ha! I have to admit to being a true amateur when it comes to wildlife but they were fun shots to capture. Thanks for watching and all the best for 2025!
Great set there Brian. Life on the road, so many images and full hard drives 😂🤣 All the best to you and Betty for the New Year
Many thanks Colin 🙏 I've already filled up one of those drives ha ha! Look forward to catching up again sometime and all the best for 2025 👍🏻
Amazing photos, as always! I look forward to follow your trip in 2025! I preferred the photo with the stair, since it added scale and dimension, but they were both wonderful. Looked like a place from Lord of the rings! Happy new year from the other side of the planet!
Thanks so much Fanny - always good to hear from you. You make a very good point - those man-made structures have to be good for something eh, ha ha 😃 All the very best for the year ahead!
So, so gorgeous! For your preference question on Natural Bridge, I actually preferred the metal stairway and person because it gave an extra sense of scale. Yes, hard to beat your shot of the year!
Many thanks Juanita. It's a very good point actually - sometimes those man-made structures can be useful after all 😉 Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Brian! Loving your photography and it's a great adventure you're on. Natural Bridge was my favourite and without the ladder - that said they are all fantastic.
Many thanks Ian - really appreciate it. Yes, Natural Bridge was such a unique place and thanks to National Parks, it's really not very difficult to get to. All the best for 2025!
Great images, Brian. I did wonder why you went all the way back to Sydney and then head west, now all is clear. Enjoy WA, it will blow your mind. It is such a beautiful state. We were lucky to be stuck there for nearly six months when the second covid lockdowns hit Sydney and NSW. All the best to you and Betty for 2025 and I shall look forward to more of your videos. Cheers, Merv.
Many thanks Merv - really appreciate it. Yes, I couldn't agree more - there's so much to see in WA. Being stuck there for a few months sounds like a great idea, ha ha! All the best for 2025 👍🏻
Have a great 25 Brian I enjoy your videos. keep up the good work. enjoy WA. we're getting back there maybe August September, Tassie first
Many thanks Graham! So much to see in Tassie, hope you have a fab time - we might end up seeing you over there, ha ha! All the best for 2025!
just watching this video again. magic area there. How did you get down there so close wow.
Amazing shots Brian, what fabulous memories and sensational images 👏👏
Thanks so much Paul 🙏 Looking forward to seeing what 2025 brings us! Happy New Year!
Thank you so much for sharing your adventures and stunning photography. Happy New Year!!
Many thanks and all the best for 2025!
Awesome work and story telling as well. You got some bangers but that last image was mind blowing. Thank you for continuing to upload your adventures. Good luck in 2025 and safe travels 😊
Many thanks atomikmaster1 - much appreciated. To think I almost packed up and walked away too... All the best for 2025 - lots more to come 👍🏻
I agree, Lake Hart is amazing. What a wonderful trip you are having and your photos bring back some wonderful memories for me as I've been to almost all the places you showed. Happy New Year to you and your wife. Safe travels and might see you on the road somewhere. We're doing the Simpson Desert and The Darling Run in 2025, hope I get some nice shots like yours.
Thanks so much Debbie - really appreciate it. That's awesome that you've been to many of these places :). All the best for 2025 and I hope you get some keepers across the Simpson and the Darling Run 👍🏻
Hi Brian, thank you for all those amazing videos you have made this year, I love watching them. You have more than only one shot of the year 2024, they are all amazing. Cant wait to see more of them next year. Wish you and your family a Happy New Year and all the best for 2025 and safe traveling. Many greetings from Germany, Michael
@@michaelbierbaum-z5x thanks so much Michael - really appreciate it. All my best for 2025 from the land 'Downunder' 😉
Stunning photos as always Brian! I particularly enjoyed seeing your shots from the Breakaways. I was lucky enough to get out there myself this year and photograph the same tree! seeing your photos brought back some very fond memories of my own. Thanks for the video and all the best for 2025! Happy shooting!
@@ethannance8848 many thanks Ethan 🙏. That's great you saw the same tree - I'm sure you would agree he was very photogenic indeed. All the best for 2025!
Yeahl don't think the metal stairway takes away from the shot at all but like you l don't like man made objects in my frame though l think the original is a better image. Geez your compass was not working well.🤣
@@isotechimages.9130 many thanks. Ha ha yes my internal compass was all over the place.... South was North and East was West ha ha! Oh well, just keep taking pictures eh. All the best for 2025!
Wow, what a place! And really nice bonus shots as well! 👍 But what were the cows doing in the desert? 🤔
Ha ha - thanks Fanny - great to hear from you! Those cows were in danger of becoming steaks if they hung round on the road any longer. I was on the way back for dinner and getting hungry, ha ha 😃
What an amazing place. ❤
Great review!
Hey thanks Michael.
Great video & great shots Brian! What a stunning landscape.
Hey thanks Nathan - really appreciate it. Yes, it's definitely one to keep on the list if you're ever over that way. All the best and thanks for watching 👍🏻
Wow … what an amazing place.. great shots as always and then bonus shots 🙌
Thanks so much Lizette 🙏. I loved that little tree in the bonus shots - he was so photogenic. Good place for a little visit.
Just found your channel and really enjoying it. I thought I noticed you using some graduated filters. Any reason for not doing this in post?
Hi Ian - welcome and thanks for the comment. I'm actually using grads less and less now, particularly when I'm travelling. I find them most useful if you have a very flat horizon such as a seascape etc - just to bring a little balance to the shot so you don't blow out highlights in the sky but to be honest, you can almost get the same results by bracketing and bringing the shots together in post. All the best and thanks for watching!
That pano at the end was very impressive.
Thanks so much Shelley. After all the scrambling around I did up there, I must admit I was pretty happy when I found the little vantage point. All the best!
Very nice
Cheers Peter 👍🏻
Interesting and enjoyable video, as usual. I'm not familiar with this place but it looks like a magnificent spot to explore. Favourite frame is probably the one with the three peaks.
Many thanks Geoff - much appreciated. I must admit I was pretty happy when I came across the little vantage point which enabled me to get the pano. It was the perfect spot for it and I thought the result wasn't too bad. All the best and thanks for watching.
Stunning photos. I didn't know about this area, yet I was only in Coober Pedy in April this year. Looks like I need another trip back to that part of the world. Thank you for showing us. Take care
Many thanks Liz. Yes, not too far from Coober Pedy over in the direction of Oodnatta. It's quite an easy drive in there and fun to wander around up on the ridge lines to see all the vantage points. Interesting place to keep on the list for next time 👍🏻. Thanks for watching!
Wow, awesome, Brian. You've just changed our plans from Darwin. we'll have to turn right go down that way, I think.. Enjoy your touring. Ps and shhhh, most people do not realise our weight restrictions. All the best and merry Xmas.
Many thanks Robbo. Definitely worth a little visit. Ha ha - yes, be careful with those towing weights. We're well under as our van only has a 2T tare but it helps when you're trying to get in to the more challenging ones. This one was easy though. Thanks for watching!
What a magical place and it looks like you had it to yourself. Beautiful colours. Really loved the shot with the little black tree. Astro shot was just showing off 🤪 Love your work.
Many thanks Gary 🙏 Yes, we mostly had the place to ourselves - it's one of those locations which the bus loads of tourists don't quite make it to... Ha ha, the astro shot was totally unplanned - I walked outside to the car, looked up for a sec and thought hmmmmm. Great skies out there for astro 😉 All the best!
Stunning location and the images are just superb. We visited the Breakaways just out of Coober Pedy on your recent trip but did get to this spot. Next time. Great video BTW
Many thanks David. Yes, you may have recognised a couple of the bonus shots were from the Breakaways. The Painted Desert wasn't too difficult to get to at all - keep it on the list. I liked that you are mostly free to roam around and look for the best vantage spots. All the best.
What a great place Brian, love those peaks. Great captures.
Many thanks Paul. Keep this one on the list too. Fascinating place. All the best!
Great video Brian. The drone footage was spectacular. Liked all the images but outback trees and the stunning night sky are hard to beat. Just a thought, did you drop the tyre pressures on the van as well? Often overlooked, but a van blowout can be just as serious in the middle of nowhere. Keep them coming. Cheers, Merv.
Many thanks Merv. I agree - some of these outback trees just have so much character. Good pick up on the van tyres - I did drop the pressures there and got some footage of it but didn't want to bore everyone with too many details 😉 All the best and thanks for watching.
Hey I noticed you stopped using the Summit Creative bag you reviewed last time. What do you think of that bag vs the Shimoda that you’re using now?
Hi Michael. I really like the Summit Creative bag and still have it. The only reason I'm using the Shimoda one currently is that it's a slightly smaller bag which is good for what we're doing at the moment. As you probably know, every kilo counts when you're driving around the country and I didn't bring my full arsenal of camera gear for the trip. I'll most likely switch back over to the Summit bag when we get back. All the best and thanks for watching.
if they were the same size, would you generally go for the Summit Creative instead?
@@Michael-dx8qz yes, if they were the same size, I wouldn't hesitate to grab the Summit bag. I thought they were excellent value for money too.
@ thanks, I’m weighing between both bags and it seems like the Summit bag is better feature-wise. Though I am not too sure about QC given the perception of it being somewhat of a knockoff. Regardless I think it should be relatively close given that the Shimoda bag is likely built my similar factories in China, excluding the customer service. Any thoughts?
@@Michael-dx8qzyes, everything seems to come out of China nowadays - not that it's necessarily a bad thing of course. I was very impressed with the quality of the bag. The materials feel identical to those used in other top of the range bags I've seen around the traps so no issues there. I understand your comment but I wouldn't necessarily categorise it as a knock off - as I said in the video, they seen to have taken a lot of the good ideas in the market and combined them to form a new product. Anyway, all the best with your decision 👍
Doesn't look like a place you want breakdown in Brett. That looks hot and dusty. Liked your tyre deflating gizmo. Beautiful colours in the rocks. Travel safely.
Oops Brian. Damn spell check.
Ha ha all good - thanks Barry. Yes, it's quite a fascinating place. Nice that you can scramble around up the hill tops but yes, you really don't want to break down in these places! All the best and thanks for watching.
You call THAT low light? The dancers were very well lit. Anyway great photos
Thanks heaps for sharing your amazing experiences of a wonderful place, I hope to visit 😊❤
What's your lens? Thanks!
Hubba hubba BJS. Simply amazing. Surprising how the colour appeared to the left of the sunset itself. The symmetry in the clouds is extraordinary 😮😮😮🙏🙏🙏
Wow, if there was ever a place to be for a sunset like that, that’s the place! Reflections mean double the splendour. Beautiful stuff. 👍
Wow! The sky and the water looked as they were on fire! Beautiful!
👏👏you always find a tree. The pano rocks!! Beautiful country side.
Ha ha - you have to love a great dead tree Gary 😃. Thanks and all the best 👍
Have a great trip 😊
