The fast knot tying method changed the game for me on these. Speed wise and getting them tight enough to lock. If you havent seen the method search for it. Basically take a bite of rope as it comes around tree and twist it and loop it under the edge of step. Its the exact same knot without fooling with so much running end of rope.

I dig it. Been running a very similar setup with your steps for years now. Haven't carried more than 3 steps with me in a couple years. I use a 6 step aider but attach to step a little different.

I like it. But no chance you’re getting 30 feet with 3 steps… each step would have to be set at 10’ 😂

Might as well have a climber. Saddle hunting is meant to be light weight and minimal. It’s turning into carrying a climber that’s in 6 pieces.

Fuck those keyboard fucktards, Wild Edge is the most versatile climbing system on the market hands down. I've been through the climbing stick disaster and it's just not worth it. I don't care about the weight. The versatility outshines. Keep up the great work!, maybe soon we can see a dedicated wild Edge backpack...?? Just a thought.

You need to slow your roll and zoom in so folk can see only the tree step and rope up close. I love my tree steps and your exactly right on method of mounting to secure and adjusting

You guys would be billionaires if you would hire or just get one of the wives to work on production, get a better camera even just a new phone camera and a video lighting setup, and some wireless lapel mics, you have the superior product but it dont do any good if people can see what you are doung or hear what you are saying

I bought the Berserker three and a half years ago. I love it. It’s comfortable and fits me good. I love the over size linesman loops are great. Overall great saddle. I think it’s under advertised to be honest. The other is that it would be great if Wildedge made saddle bags. People like convenience of shopping all in a one stop shop. I bought mine off Amazon and they ammo dump pouches but work fine. Their ropes are great as well. One last thing, minor critique. Offer other colors. I’d like too see a coyote brown or green. Just a thought.

Nice video, will you guys ever put together a complete kit, say saddle, steps platform? First time saddle buyers might benefit knowing their kit was put together by the Pros.

Side loading the original perch without the wings seemed to cause it to wiggle loose, any suggestions??

I've been a lucky owner of these steps for a long time, I absolutely swear by them. Can't remember the exact year but I do know that they were out of bags when I ordered them. I was just searching for hunting content and came across this video, I'm glad to see the steps made it! Thank you both!

If you use a Distel hitch instead of the standard 3-wrap prussic, it will advance even smoother.

I purchased my first 8 piece Step Ladder back in 2020 after using climbing sticks for a few seasons. I've done all I know to do to keep them quiet and they are still noisy. I'm just shy of 61 and still love my saddle hunting. Got tired of the noisy sticks and now use the step ladder exclusively. I went back tonight and ordered an additional 10 piece step ladder. Awesome products!

I love the idea. But it does not move very smooth after being under weight when I use it. Makes me a little annoyed. Am I doing somethin g wrong.

You can just run the line through the carabiner and it does the same thing

I have 2 of the Tetherd 8mm tethers and they don't seem as small, and are nowhere near as pliable as other 8mm ropes I have seen

Been using my steps for 4 years now and love them. I really like the way you climbed down while staying tethered. Is there any reason not to use that same method (holding onto tether up high, no linemans belt) while climbing up? I've been toying with that idea and have been waiting for a chance to give it a try.

I have stabbed myself before... not fun... never put an arrow in your mouth and cut a branch...
