@@scbibletalk Jesus’ teaching on prayer (Matthew 6:5-8) Summary Jesus taught, “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men … but when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen.” Understanding the text Jesus began his teaching on prayer here by saying how not to pray: Don’t show off. Synagogues were places of worship where many people gathered to pray. Jesus spoke against those who prayed loudly just so they could be seen and praised by others. He called such people hypocrites and he probably had in mind the Pharisees. They would even pray loudly in public places too.Don’t use a lot of meaningless words. The Gentiles' prayers were long because they thought this would impress their many gods. Often, they repeated a phrase or a god’s name many times, hoping to attract attention. To know God, one cannot be forced to engage, when people who don't believe in God see videos like this one, they skip it, the algorithm then shows less religious content, so people who don't preach but acknowledge their own faith while they provide positive content don't show up for people, turning your channel and every other religious channel into an echo chamber of half truths from the bible in it's hundreds of mistranslated versions. I met a religious group that doesn't believe in evolution, even though we can observe it in fast reproducing species and we have very human like skulls that we have found. And when you ask them to explain it they can't because their whole personality war regurgitation of the same 100 or so parts of the bible, a very badly translated bible. The bible isn't a historical text, it's a religious text, for religious people, you don't need to share it like this because people who will find their way to God are almost guaranteed to do it through most other methods, and in substituting facts for personal truth it divides people, as your texts are different then your neighbors, and many people cherry pick parts of the bible (kinda like I just did) and that's the problem.

Well, for starters, we aren’t cherry picking on our channel, but rather are working slowly and methodically through the text. I’m sure you would prefer that way. As for sharing about God, this short video is giving a mini-exposition about what is in the book of Daniel. Do I believe in God? Yes. Do I read in scripture to share about God? Of course! Do I mean to offend? Hardly! You have been through a lot, and there are times in your life where you stopped believing. Me too. But the thing about God is that He doesn’t go away when our faith does. He is deep, and He sees us. The book of Daniel gets deep, and so does the Bible. Our channel is an invitation to deeper rest in God.

Good question! The answer is: both! It depends what idea you want to say. Eleventh hour= the last minute “in” is good for describing feelings/conditions. “at” is good for describing actions. So, you could say: “Our team was worried IN the eleventh hour, with the score tied.” OR “AT the eleventh hour Bobby scored the winning goal!” Hope this helps a little!
