Finally she spits fire again after a year. Life got in the way plus do many other projects that once again I'm under the gun to get ready for the power tour. This engine is built in previous videos, and the exact build produced 542hp on the Dyno, and almost the same torque. I ran out of time so was not able to get this one on a Dyno before moving, and I don't really care as long as it hauls ass...

2 used flowmaster mufflers, a couple used exhaust hangers and 100 bucks worth of Amazon pipe and it looks great. Can't wait to hear it later this week. Total cost: $200.00.

    LEDs suck. I'm glad they still use incandescent lighting in their gauges. I do agree it's a bitch to get that out for no reason, but I prefer that it uses a good ol 1969 Dodge Dart marker light bulb that can be had for pennies by the dozen in any auto parts store on this side of the equator and doesn't destroy my eyeballs instead of a retina melting LED that costs a fortune to replace.

    Great video sir! I felt your pain on the AN vent hose. Short hose with bigger diameter is always a struggle. The AC unit looks nice and the install is very nice. I think being cool is a number 1 priority in my book, both for you and the car. The list is getting shorter! I love this unique old car, and making it a gasser puts it over the top, along with the chop on the doors!

    She lives! Sounds good, but too bad about ignition box, parts are not the same quality they were years ago.

    • @Hotrodsinthewoods
      @Hotrodsinthewoods Місяць тому

      Yeah, right? Originally these boxes were made by a company that made another Big name in multi spark discharge. Manufacturers change, and the boxes are no longer repairable. So 2 in the garbage. I'm ordering a spare for the trip if this one makes it through more than 5 minutes of running. It's not over charging, voltage is good, I've checked everything that could possibly cause it and nothing but a junk box. I do not hold it against Summit, they stopped selling it apparently a while back. Lesson learned: don't buy too far in advance planning your build, it'll bite you off warranty runs out before you use.

    Very pretty unique and somewhat rare car. It's a shame that someone did such shabby work on the drive line. It sounds like you've identified a lot of areas for improvement. I'm sure it is going to be a MUCH nicer car once you get it all sorted out. I'm really anxious to see your little wagon in action!

      Thanks, yeah I'll make it right. I often see great plans go bad from bad advice and hoping skills are good enough. Welding cannot be cheated on though, nor can structural strength.
