I think if a reboot of News Groove was to be made, I would have mixed both elements of the movies A prince about to become emperor with power of the sun yet was not a great ruler who lost favor with the patron god Yzma wanting to rule with eternal beauty, making a deal with her own patron Kuzko would learn humility and how his people live and what responsibilities he had to do for them what transforms him back to a human is when he nobily sacrifices himself (or something) for Patcha to save his life and the sun god rewards Kuzko Kuzko would return to human as a more humble man taking his responsibilities more seriously and become kinder to his people

They really could rework Yzmas pursuit of the sun into a spinoff movie. More focused on her rerouting her objectives after failing to become Empress. & Include Kuzco, Kronk, & Pacha in the movie. But also play on the Older Woman competing with younger women theme by use of Kuzcos girly friend from his series & Yzma having some beautiful women- sorceress slaves, where some of those slave revolt against her to stop Her & Free themselves.

After watching The Sweatbox, I feel really bad for Sting. He seemed so excited to get to work on a Disney film and his role got majorly reduced. I do agree that, just based on the creators describing the plot, there was TOO much going on. Plus, we got Kronk, so net win overall.

The old movie basically reflects Yzma and her distain for the sun and thus the sun god emperor who is the mc of the the movie that replace the old one.

Them changing the emperor's name because it sounds like the japanese word for... "kitty", is a bit amusing considering the new name "Kuzco" sounds a lot like the japanese word 屑 "Kuzu" meaning "garbage" 🤣

My mom and I love this movie. It's just too funny. It has great actors, music and adult humor. You can watch it over and over again and still find the same scenes hilarious.

I believe that Someday is the very heart and soul of Disney’s the hunchback of Notre Dame as it can be heard throughout the film. It’s more noticeable on the Legacy Collection expanded soundtrack. Someday is embedded throughout the score. But I think Someday isn’t given justice as a pop song. I love the song so much. It’s lyrics are so beautiful and powerful. It’s my favourite song of all time. I agree about the German play version is the greater version. However. I disagree about Disney not using deleted songs in the remakes. For the remake of beauty and the beast they used cut verses for Gaston and the reprise of tale as old as time.

I love this song so much! To me, it feels kind of like the show's closing elipse to 'God Help the Outcasts', where the former's theme is about directing prayers to others who are worse off than oneself, and the latter takes it the extra step with the message that said prayers will hopefully be answered, if not in one's lifetime. I love the takes from both stage versions, but I do prefer the more anthemic one from the original German version (part of that is for the line: "A prayer for something better is the one thing we all share" which really showcases true spirituality and believing in something greater than oneself, as opposed to Frollo's piety and skewed perspective of God's will). Honestly I think I can understand why The Kingdom Of The Sun was scrapped, it did sound like the plot was too complicated with too many elements. Though I still agree that "Snuff out the light" is an absolute banger. I love both the movie that did come out and the original concept, and it's just so sad that we can't have both!

I'm sooo much interested on the Kingdom of the Sun, Emperor's new groove is funny but that's all. personally i never enjoyed emperor's new groove over movies like Road to El dorado(which also had a very funny side but the story was waaay more captivating)

Though at least some post Golden Era Simpsons was at least watchable and fun(Even though I watch most things for fun instead of being analytical, for the most part. Though admittedly the only old episodes from the Golden era I've seen was in the random episode compilations DVDs, like the Christmas, Treehouse of Horror, and Go Wild. And with how many episodes there are all are, it feels like a chore to sit through all of them) But I do agree that after the movie is when I've lost interest. Ironically what Aladdin's character was supposed to be and his relation to his mother in the early draft was a bit more closer to the original Arabian Nights tale. Plus they were also going to have 2 genies in it along with the unlimited wishes, and Aladdin going to be executed if he didn't save Jasmine(Named Badroulbadour in the original tale.) from Jafar.

Personally it sad that the kingdom of the sun didn’t come out it was originally plan. For one thing particular and that’s the culture. The original seem to have expanded that idea a lot more into the story which gives us as audience more of an idea what the culture of peru is/was like. I can’t say that the emperor’s new grove did that, and that’s because most people I have told about where it takes place they have no idea.
