Hey UA-cam. This is my first video. Im Not a Mechanic... Not a Professional. Just an average dude getting his feet wet in this UA-cam pool. I spend a good amount of time watching UA-cam and have learned alot from it over the years. I just wanted to contribute a little. Here Goes....
Thanks for this video even in 2024, this helped me. Thanks my guy! 😊
Please make the videos shorter please this could’ve been compressed into a 7 minute video.
The dealer has a machine that does it slowly which is safe. That's the only way to get all of the old fluid out. But otherwise 3x3 is okay.
bro, I figured that shit out by the time you finish with the tires man way too long of a video get into something else Broski
yo my man you made this shit way too long, bro
Great vid. You just saved me a trip to the mechanic. When you said “more torque”, I said, “ you mean leverage buddy”…then you corrected yourself. Too funny.
Video worked perfectly for my Acura! Thanks
Talking too much!
Thank you
Did you replsce the in line ATF filter? Mind sharing a video if so!!!Thumbs up on this DYI project
I got MDX 2014 too , so how many transmission fluid did you put in there ?
Aheyyyooo being from NY and not seeing the pause is crazy 22:57
My man! Outstanding brake pads & rotor replacement video! I too own a third gen MDX. I too am not a mechanic but I’m a DIY kind of guy so when the Acura service agent gave me the estimate of $630.74 before taxes to Replace my Pads & Resurface my Rotors. I told him not a bad price, and decided to go on Amazon where I found a new 2014 Acura MDX pads & rotor kit for under $300. I purchased it. As soon as my parts arrive I too will be diving in on the same project myself and your video will be right next to me as a guide. And I will be picking up new rotor screws from Honda as well. Thanks!
I feel so lucky that the guy with the best DIY maintenance videos on UA-cam has the same car as me. Thanks BB for your efforts!
Right feel the same
Thank You! My son and I just changed our first rotors and pads on our 2014 Acura MDX. Your video was accurate and easy to follow. Thanks again.
You should be teaching yo son and got another man teaching yall. Thx
Many thanks, brother. Your video did all the heavy lifting for me (which is the thinking part). Love hearing your accent; reminds me of my days in Coast Guard stationed on Governors Island
Nice job. Here's a question. I read that Google doesn't recommend this method of powering their Nest thermostats. They give a few reasons - ensuring you have adequate power (you definitely do with that honkin' transformer), possible inconsistent power delivery, and "could void the Nest warrantee". Any comment on that?
This works for 2017 Acura MXD also?
I thought I knew how to work on my car. Brother you took it to a whole new level. Appreciate you.
thanks
Good ideas in this video! I like your resourcefulness and the two container comparison to match the fluid levels and also refilling through the dipstick tube. Very good video, thank you. I just got a 2015 RDX with 118,000 miles on it and plan to DIY lots of stuff on it. So far, new plugs and headlight bulbs. Also new cabin and engine air filters. The cabin filter was filled with sunflower seeds so i worried about rodents chewing the wires but didn't see anything wrong there. Anyway, great video! Thanks.
Bro just get to the point, most is watching are just mechanics while customers are waiting for their cars
You talk too much!
Anyone who wants to make this job infinitely easier, first of all get yourself a $20 hand impact driver. Put the biggest Phillips head bit on it get it in that screw, turn and whack the end of the hammer and it'll be right out of there. Best to give a little squirt of penetrating oil on that screw and also in the two holes on the rotor. Now let's get to those two holes on the rotor. Those are threaded screw holes. Find you the right size bolt and thread bolts into both of those holes. Get them hand tight and then proceed to tighten them about a quarter to half a turn each alternating back and forth between each bolt. Also alternate with giving the rotor a couple of whacks with a hammer every now and then and they'll pop right off.
So far, this is the best video on jack points on an Acura MDX that I have found. Thanks brother.
THANKS, WHY WOULD U TALK ABOUT A TOOL & NOT LEAVE THE LINK TO THE ONE MAN BLEEDER TOOL? BEST, G E.
5:45 you already know lol great video man just got a 14 MDX hoping to go the same route you took refilling thru the dipstick edit: meant to ask, how many miles did you do this at? that fluid was clean in your video. I'm at 101k not sure if the previous owner ever did it. guesswe'll find out
Fantastic video. Great work! Thank you for making it and for sharing with us!
Awesome video! Thank you for the accurate info.
Best and possibly the only video on this subject. Great work. Doing mine the same soon. Thanks

Bwostin, juyzey. Skip a bit brother….😮
Hey Brooklyn I have a 2015 TLX. Would this be similar on my car?
Took me longer to watch your video than it did to do the job. Maybe if you didn’t tell us what you were doing the week prior it would have been faster paced
Still a great video. I was confused cuz my manual shows the check bolt. But it has banjo bolt going to the cooler I recon
This guy 🫣
This guy thinks oil last 15k 😂😂😂😂😂
Youre def from NYC lol
Very helpful!
You can put a plastic sack over the oil filter and the oil will spill into the plastic sack, ziplock or whatever is leakproof sack can be used, then dump the oil in the sack into the container later. I saw another AUTO mechanics DIY video of this technique.
Dealership just quoted my wife $158 to replace both filters. Needless to say, I told her to hard pass.
Very helpful my man. Much appreciate this video.
😂 you should definitely be changing your oil every 5K idgaf what Mobile 1 says on their bottle
Great job, young man. Keep doing what you do.Can you come to Dallas ,Tx.. and do my brake lines .again great job.
Hi. I saw you had 999 subscribers. I just subscribed so I could be your 1000th subscriber.!!! And now you have 1k!!! :D
That fluid doesn’t even look dirty
This should have been a 30 second video. Good grief.
Had this issue on a 2015 MDX, Acura Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 15-036 fixed it. static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10115159-9999.pdf
very good video teaching. can you add more on coolant change and rear differencial fluid change, excelent teaching courses.thank you much
bro leave them story for your instgram just hurry up
You didn’t drain it? You just filled it? I’m going to do it tomorrow so do I drain it the fill it?
