    Thanks for the video. It helped me greatly when the mower stopped. I thought I would suggest that the ratchet strap isn’t required. Just take one end of the spring off and the belt will be nice and loose. Then it pops back on with a little muscle. No tools required. Thanks again.

    this is a great informative share, thank you, i wonder do you know if there is a tensioner on the belt that drives the deck? there's a drive belt that drives the belt that turns the blades and mine is loose and slipping and coming off! so i am wondering on a x500 if the deck drive belt has a tensioner like the transmission drive belt?

    • @wecanfixit7308
      @wecanfixit7308 Місяць тому

      there is an adjustment on the handle that engages the belt, unless yours has an electric PTO, otherwise, its more than likely that your deck belt has stretched and needs replacement.

    I was able to replace mine easily, thanks to your video! Let me add that the Grey clips to remove the two breather lines going to the valve covers need to be PUSHED, not pulled. I broke one while trying to figure it out. It still clips back locked when done with repair, but hopefully helps someone else to not break theirs.

    Thank you so much for this video! Could you make a video on how to adjust the deck height on the Husqvarna Z54F? I have the same model as you, and I can’t seem to adjust it for anything. On the highest setting (6) the front is 2.5” off the ground, and the back is 3.5”. I’m fine with the pitch, but it just seems so close to the ground, even just 1/2” higher would be nice.

    • @wecanfixit7308
      @wecanfixit7308 7 місяців тому

      sure. I just did this. basically there’s two bolts at the front that adjust the front tilt. You need to make sure your air pressure is correct and that you’re on level ground to start. The wheel bushings being worn out actually lower the front of the mower also.

    • @Aveeguides
      @Aveeguides 7 місяців тому

      @@wecanfixit7308 Thank you so much for this. I ordered the same bushings kit you used. So I’m hoping to install them tomorrow or early next week. I adjusted those two bolts on the front end of the mower (beneath the gray plastic foot rest). They adjusted that front bar that hooks into the deck. Tightening them brought the deck too far forward so that I couldn’t get the front deck lift arms over the frame pins. I also believe the rear deck lift arm bolts are as tight as they can be. So I guess it must be a leveling issue with the tires. 🤷🏼‍♀️ After I put the new bushings on, I’ll measure everything and figure out how to adjust from there. its probably the spring that keeps tension on the clutch pedal, without it in place the belt will slip and the mower won't move. It should be an easy fix

      "Sto usando ChatGPT per tradurre: probabilmente è la molla che mantiene la tensione sul pedale della frizione, senza di essa la cinghia scivolerà e il trattorino non si muoverà. Dovrebbe essere una riparazione facile."

    I love these videos. Five minutes ago I finally changed my Nikki carb to another brand, new fuel pump, air/and gas filters, they sent wrong spark plug so I just cleaned the one in it, new gas hose, the gas filter they sent had one whole end broken off and not even in the box but mine was fine. I just hit the switch and it cranked a few laps and started right up. Purrs like a new kitty. I am learning and I enjoy working on all my old mowers except the ones with generators to start them.

    There is a video that tells you to double up on that spring and never have the problem again. Or, drill and put a bolt thru that hole which will prevent the wear this guy experienced. See how the metal had stretched and pulled up? That's what cut the end of the spring!
