ua-cam.com/video/H0TB3PvT-IA/v-deo.html this is what i did. that way its more cleaner and just pull it out when you need it and when dint just store it awayv
Found this video 6 years later.. This is soooo good! I hope I can get the measurement or draft, so that i cant print it out for my flight deck set up..
Pretty cool solution! Here was a video from this year with someone making a swivel mount. For me the swivel seems better ONLY because of my restrictive space & storage solutions I have in my office. Both (this one and the link) are solid solutions WITHOUT SPENDING +$200 for metal desk mounts that will damage your desk surface AND are often bulky/heavy and require a storage location when not in use (companies like: Virpil, MonsterTech and Foxx Mount to name a few). All companies offer great solutions but none are considered "inexpensive" nor "space saving" (to a point). But these two videos show with a little thinking, some time and a little work you can create your own solution for your unique problem for simming. Happy flying/Spacing! Are you still able to send out plans on these or do you have a newer version? I looked on the ED forums but couldn’t find a post about this but I’m not a member of those forums so I might have to be.
Quite simple, yet very sturdy! Like that! I'm also trying to make a mount for my new DIY HOTAS (which I still...heh...haven't made yet...well, I'm in the process), but since I'm a bit cramped in my room, I decided to build it onto my chair. Still have a long way to go, though. But I appreciate you for making this video...even though it's several years old xD
I actually just did something similar after watching your vid a couple months ago at least the joystick, works great. Have not done the throttle yet as I have a weird shaped homemade desk, kinda L shaped so it will have to come from the side I think. I know its old but still great video. 2020 now.
WoW! i am looking into some mounts for my joystick and all i found was the very expensive monsertech stuff. found a video, where i can easily rebuild one of those myself and then i found this video. it's so simple and useful! will build this myself. thx!
I know this is an old post but I literally just ordered just the joystick for now but did not know where to mount. This is perfect. I may have this built before it even gets here. Great, and yes same looks from my wife.
just saw this, would love to see details, I'm in a similar position where my desk is also my sim-pit
What a brilliant setup well done
I really like that design. That's pretty ingenious.
Thank you very much for making this video! It's really helpful
Love it!
Thanks for some good inspiration!
I can't play with stick between my legs it looks strange when someone come to my room and think i am doing another thing
Seriously, I've been looking into DIY Hotas mounts for months now and yours is all around the easiest and convenient. Excellent job!
Please post the measurements I’ve been trying to buy the mounts but the economy is very sad right now, thank you for that brilliant idea!

Who’d have thought 7 yrs later people are still watching and using your setup? Thx for this!
Many years later you still a genius
have you a datasheet to share for replicate it?
Thanks for the idea dude. I'll use it too 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great minds think alike, I was debating doing a very similar design, but having seen it, 100% doing it Thank you
amazing idea!!
That is a brilliant idea! Can I get drawings and measurements, as well as comments for any changes you would make? Thank you!
Are you still offering measurements?
Brilliant can you send me some details

Do you still have the directions for this?
But will it work if I like to play DCS F-14B? 🤨
You said You've been playing simulators since Jesus.. I thought it was hilarious
Genius !!!
Thats a great idea and simple enough to cut out on a cnc!

Bad design... You want something that's actually solid and that can be adjusted up and down. Try this: ua-cam.com/video/RbXbtk8hiQU/v-deo.html
You are like Mac Gyver!!.. Thanks.. I loved your idea.
Hi mate. Love what you've done. Would you be able to let me have the plans please?

What a great idea, I would very much like the measurements, and materials used. This looks like it would work on my desk.
Please post drawing on Google Drive or Dropbox or similar. I’d very much like to build a similar solution. Thanks!
It's 2020 and this is genius!
Yup
Can you send me the measurements of this mount?
That was an outstanding IDEA!!!! NICE job !
Great idea, simple and durable.
Hey can i get the plans for this? i like the slide in feature. I dont know how to email you or pm you.
You could pull out your drawer and put a flat piece of wood and put your mouse on it.
fantastic solution
You are good .
Brilliantly simple and far stabler than most of the DIY mounts I've seen. Great job and thanks for the inspiration for my mount
Wonderful idea 😍
