Just a channel that lets you follow along with my hobbies of poultry, tractors, and other farm related stuff.
Mixing pigeon feed with Oliver 77
Going through my process of how I mix pigeon feed. It's a larger amount than most would do but since I have to drive a ways for some of the ingredients. I prefer to do a larger amount. Really happy with how this mix turned out now to see how the pigeons clean it up and maybe make more tweaks or leave as is.

Adding a manual glow plug control to 6.5 Turbo diesel
Like it rolled out of the factory. Did America make the greatest machinery for a century?
Definitely built stuff to last back in the day.
What year model are those seats I’m looking at buying a 1992 single cab 6.2 longbed 4x4 and it’s got the factory bench seats and I would love to swap them over to these comfy sobs
@@Zack-smith truck body is 97 with original seats.

How do I get the cables hooked up with the wheel straight
Super cool food mix, Olivier, 👍🐦
Mine if I don't wait on the light to go off it won't start even hot
🤤🍻🇺🇸
Nice repower.
Whoever did it, actually did a pretty nice job putting it in there. Personally I think they should've used this engine from the factory.
Location?
Nice. I see everyone using netting for ceiling. Would 1” chicken wire be better? What’s the benefit of netting besides weight and cost?
I use 2in heavy knotted netting. I use keep snow from sticking. I still have to go out and give it a shake sometimes but I would have to do it alot more with smaller openings.
I would like to do the same thing. How did you remove the engine with the power booster?
Great video Really helpful for my cable problem on my sunrunner
Thanks for the tour love it awesome.
Thank you glad you like it.
international 66 series had an over under thing and when you put it in under-drive they would quit moving and some people opened up the cover on the side of transmission to access it and welded it solid somehow, i do not know if that was the thing to do but it did get done sometimes
I've seen/heard of a few fixes for this Oliver power booster. You still would be without booster drive but didn't have to source all the parts to delete the unit. I think one was welding the clutch pack together and one I seen had the booster in place but the clutch pack was gone and a straight drive couple was in its place.
Great looking truck 👍
i have one with the cables too the cables broke too i see you have a 1 cylinder i got mine with no motor will put a 14hp vanguard 2cylinder ,will fix the steering nice rig ,well this helped me out thanks
Factory engine was a 12hp but it was replaced with a 12.5 at some point. It goes along good as is but a few more ponies would be nice. Real glad the video helped. These are real nice mowers been trying to find more and find time to fix my other one.
@@mudbogger372 had a 12.5 vangaurd 2 cylinder all 2 cylinder vangaurds run great, cant say the same for the intek 2cylinders or the 1s, junk, the IC were better well my 14 2cylinder vangaurd should be sweet on that rig ,got my cable fixed put cable the same size as the original cables with the black coating on them so just a bit bigger but still fit in the big cable harness that runs from the steering to the back they will be a bit stronger they are not coated but galvanized tried the cable to make shure got it right now just tighten it up cost me $17.00wow better than $300 something on ebay could not believe it that was nuts 300 bucks cant wait to give it a spin when there is a will there is a way dont forget there is no problems just solutions
How are all the birds doing?
All things considered doing well, been plenty hot and very humid lately and getting a little crowded which is causing some grief. I always take a bunch of time off in August for tractor shows and to get stuff done around the farm. Was going to add more phesant/peafowl pens but unfortunately had to have surgery so I'm laid up on light duty for couple months.
When I was a kid dad had one of those minneapolis-moline corn scheller's that he shelled corn for other farmers.
My truck burned up from this mod. I need your lawyer's information. 😝
He's on vacation and not taking any calls 😂
Show me the thermostat if you can
Not sure how I could do that. Its just the old style waffer with a micro switch.
I think you added some to the collection if I’m not mistaken.
Just a few 😉
Hey you have a cool collection! I recently started compiling a serial number list of Oliver combines. And there owners and we’re they are located. Would you be willing to get those serial numbers to me?
You missed one! What were you riding on? Art from Ohio
Just a 2wd JD gator.
Very cool collection. Thanks for sharing
Why would people think this is not predator proof? Because of the netting on the top? I’m building a peafowl enclosure and looking for pointers specifically for them.
Netting on top, 2x4 wire on sides, no electric fence wire, and my underground barrier is just the tin is only down about 6in. Most people like to lay down wire so it's 4in underground and sticks out 2 ft around entire perimeter. Also this is a problem for the pheasants in that there's a spot for roosting to close to the netting.
Hey awesome channel dude👍. I like the pheasant video. I raise pheasants myself. Eventually going to get some Mandarins.... someday, or wood ducks lol. Anyways great job
Thank you glad you like the content. I recognize the name, you frequent one of the pheasant pages on Facebook. You have some nice birds. I really love my wood ducks but the Mandarins are nice not having to deal with paperwork.
@@mudbogger372 Yeah I'm on quite a few pheasant groups lol. My name is Ben BTW, SplittinTracks is the name of my Pheasantry. I didn't know that about wood ducks. Thanks
This looks great. Will you ever do a full farm tour?
I've thought about it, I was working on a Bird tour video series but haven't been the best about getting the camera out to finish it up.
How do you care for wild ducks and geese in the winter?
All I have is woodducks, mandarins, and barnacle geese so they're not much different then taking care of my domestics. It's just I have a heated pool, that gets flushed out every other day for them.
Probably the best engine GM ever made. I've been beating the hell out of my 03 LeSabre for 200,000 of its 268,000! Still never touched it with a wrench, other than oil changes. Still runs like new!
For sure, when it comes to cars there's a reason I basically only buy 97-99 Buick LeSabres. Getting hard to find one that's not rust rotten in my area.
Those ARE actually a Very Tough engine . But seriously Bro , running it SO long with Fuck All oil pressure ? You WANTONLY BROKE IT .
Yes they ARE a very tough engine, never said they weren't. I put on atleast 30K miles on it with the oil pressure all messed up. It was a high mileage car with plenty of rust, non-working A/C, and heater controls have been redneck fixed cause the climate control took a dive over 10 years ago. It just plain wasn't worth spending the money on a engine rebuild. So I ran it till it puked and now I finally have a use for one of my spare engines.
Yep, one of the best V6's ever made!
Do you have a material list or an approximate cost?
I think it was roughly $1,000 in lumber (going to be way more now) at least 130 8ft 2x4s, and some 10ft and 12ft 2x4s. The tin was all free, I think 3 rolls of 48"x50ft 2x4 wire.
I did the basically the same thing, but ran a solenoid between the two poles on the glow plug controller, used #10 gauge wire. It works fine, however I hardly ever use it, but nice to know its there.

Do you ever sell any geese
When I have them available I do.
I have a 770 with that shaft your looking for, if you can interchange parts with an 880 I bet that shaft would work
My 880 has the helical gear trans. I'm told the shafts are different.
Hope to see an update video soon. Thanks!
Great looking birds for just getting into them, they all look well taken care of and love your creativity with all your setups. I roll the same way and if you were in my neck of the woods we would hang that’s for sure. I’m just learning this UA-cam stuff but hope to have more videos myself in time. Keep up the nice work 👍
Thanks for the kind words. When it comes to pens I'm function over looks with cost in the middle. Not to mention when I get all kinds of scrap metal for free I figure out ways to utilize as much as I can. Getting use to UA-cam is actually fairly easy, every now and then I learn something new. The hardest part is the filming and editing (at least for me).
A lot going on, but cool seeing everything in action. Nice way to store the corn to keep the critters out.👍
Thank you. Eventually going to put up a modified grain bin with a corn sheller drag line to gain more storage space.
Definitely a lot of steps and work to get your corn ground. Looks like you might need a couple of more Oliver's. Thanks Michael
Thank you, lucky for me I have a "few" more Olivers stashed away yet.
You have any dulop geese for sale
Do you happen to sell lady Amherst chicks?d
Bro that pen is great for wood duck's. Plenty of space plus roosting and hiding spots. You can easily have three pair in that pen. The only thing would be to add more water. Great lem though.
My papa had a 60 Viking 50: 6 cylinder &4sp.
@OliverNatemy hydraulic pump is draining all the fluid into the trans :( I just bought the tractor and discovered the problem.. Any chance you'll be doing a hydro pump rebuild video any time soon? I'm completely starting from scratch, no Oliver experience at all, and you explain things f'n great and easy to follow :)
Thanks for the nice words, it's much appreciated. Funny you mention the hydraulic pump. I did rebuild the pump on this tractor and after I was done, I realized I should have made a video out of it. I do have a couple more tractors that need the pump done on them but I can't say for sure when I will have time to do them. I'll see maybe it's something I can get at in the next couple weeks.
@@mudbogger372 awesome! Yeah fixing these pumps seems like a pretty common operation, but I can't find a video of anyone doing it anywhere lol take care, man! I'll be watching the channel :)
@@mudbogger372 that would be SO helpful!
When u find one working they are the best
Even when they don't work there's not much to them real easy to get them up and going again.
Awesome tour
Good video. Thanks When we trying to start a deasel with a key on and turn than I found I don't know when is good time to fire up engine Something clicking, display shown wait to start..when it's exactly hack knows. I have truble to start even it's cold( I do plugging) piss me off. It might some other problems hack knows.thank you I ve got 2000 GMC,6.5L deasel. It's good to know professional mechanic he found out what really need. But I like that truck
Very nice. I just had to laugh when you said "these are just temporary"... in my world that usually turns into "temporarily permanent"! :)
Sometimes temporary turns into a couple years around here.
