Great 1st climb dude. Some advice, ditch the qlink/gear tie. Use a mini caraboner no lock. U dont wiegh enough to sid load on a tree-not possible. Use your thumbs to advance twther, if u fall/slide they will come out. Oh attach belay before u get in tree. Also dont stretch to get stick, sit lower. Doing great good luck! P.s. u can sit on that stick with your feet on lower rung, works well

I want to like the HFAS but after a full season of use on my platform last year it was less than desirable. So much so I’ve contemplated going back to a cam buckle strap. The problem is the girth hitch is so tight that it makes loosening and tightening total pain. Another thing is that I just can’t seem to get my platform tight enough to not kick out with wide pressure. I hope you have better luck with it!
