Im just a simple guy who loves synthesizers!! I love that each synth has its own personality and I have tried to rep as many different synthesis types that I can find and afford, in a hardware synth. I make music in my spare time as i have a full-time business which is my bread and butter and makes my synth addiction possible. My vids are what they are, I dont try too hard:)
My current collection:
Crumar DS-2 / MFB Dominion 1 / Estradin Altair 231 / Formanta Polivoks / Aelita / Lell UDS / Nuova Elettronica LX520 /

Behringer Neutron / Octave CAT Stick... Pure nasty from the behringer #shorts #shorts
using the CAT Stick to send CV to OSC1 & OSC2 shape & pulse width. Filter resonance, LFO rate, and envelope gate.
If you don't know what the CAT Stick is...Its a synthesizer controller that gives you 4 VCA and 2 LFO. There is a VCA for each of the quadrants. They are X+, X-, Y+,Y- You can assign either LFO1 or 2 to each of the areas and the amounts for VCA and LFO. The LFOs range is 0.5hz - 50hz. Each has Pulse Saw or Triangle waves

Synth guru HanzVolt interview with demos of his #KorgMonopoly, #YamahaCS30 and #Altair231

My buddy who owns @JMLRecording wanted to interview me...Idk I'm just a hopeless synth addict who has had hardware synths since '99. Synthesizers are not just tools in my eyes, they have certain organic qualities.. Yeah I need help😆. Also Im considered a bit of a synth snob and thats ok. I probably am. Ive tried to represent most types of synthesis out there in my collection.
Not a Behringer UBXa / Korg Mono/Poly / Entropy & Sons Recursion Studio

This is 2 patches from an Oberheim Xpander one is in unison mode, the other is a multipatch with 6 different sounds on the chords. It’s a cacophony of synthiness. Some Korg MonoPoly in there somewhere....
Warning this is NOT a behringer UBXa ...This is a REAL Oberheim Xpander

Thanks homie✌🏼
Next level bro
Thanks bro💪🏼

Mesmerizing sound and video. Amazing
🤦🏻♂️ Matrix
Is this essentially a Marrix 12 but 6 voice. An if so wouldn’t that mean it’s technically a matrix 6 with controls? Curious how close they are.
there is a youtube video called "Oberheim Matrix 12 vs Matrix 6" that will tell you the exact differences. One main diff is Xpander has VCO and Matrix 6 has DCO plus more...check it out!
Ohh, the Redsound EleVator. I always wanted one. Cool.
Sounds great brother
thanks broham
Synth heaven! 🤩 A UB-Xa could never do this.
but it can look like it does...😆
Looking forward to seeing more. Definitely interested in seeing how you program these. Ive had one for over a year and haven’t even got into programming yet lol love the video effects btw. Can I ask what software you used?
thanks!! yeah the Xpander is surprisingly easy to program. I use Capcut and an Entropy & Sons Recursion Studio
Yeah I don’t think a behringer anything could ever sound that filthy
Monolpoly sounds awesome. I only have the beautiful clone. 😂
The basses that the MP spits out are next level and has been the most aggressive and nasty
Thought SynthSamurai is the real synth-guru…just joking 😉 btw a MonoPoly for 99 bucks in 81? …I beg to differ, it’s about a grand!
idk...I didnt call myself a guru. But ive been synthesizing since before people used computers for music. There's room for all of us to be gurus...😆
@@hanzvolt …then you’re in good shape for 55+/- and we've something in common: I started synthesizing pretty early too with a SCI Six-Trak and a Crumar DS-2 but to smart ass a little: Kawai R50e was released 1988, an Atari 1040st 1986 and C-Lab Creator 1987… So some people used a computer before to make music including myself… Some even earlier than that: ua-cam.com/video/svxN-fnxfQA/v-deo.htmlsi=JpZMAyTbGOBJoXuF 🖖
Yep sold a Roland TR-606 to survive
yeah man we all have our stories of gear sacrifices. but you cant eat resistors and transistors...😆
ahahah poor berhinger, they got smashed there. Great psychadelic sounds!
Ahhhhahaha well, lets say I love/hate behringer
Whoa I didn't know m/p did cross mod and fm. Makes awesome gritty distorted electric guitar sounds That sounds awesome
The MP is an amazing synth. It has been the meat and potatoes on a bunch of tracks. With a little sprinkle of some fX some huge nasty gnarly basses come out of that machine
This looks amazing!!!
Yes observe the ramblings of a synth nerd
❤️🔥
I like what undid there brother 😂 great video Man!

Not a great video of the elevata. It seems cursed with no one actually showing any content that isn't trash.
Yeah! 👍. xxxxx!!
All right, all right I’m hearing some sizzle here you got me
I heard Behringer’s cloning the expander soon and I heard it’s gonna be $500. That’s amazing. Can’t wait.
ohhh my...are they really?? lol freaking behringer...
@@hanzvolt just kidding 😂 i know the buchla enigma clone is almost ready. But dude that oberheim expander sounds pretty freaking awesome!!
@@synthsamuraiproductions you had me on that one...I wouldn't be surprised if they cloned one of their own synths.
@@hanzvolt Behringer will clone everything eventually. But no matter how much or well they do it you cannot beat the OG IMO.
@@hanzvolt haha now that would be epic. The behringer Poly B the Poly D clone
I like this , but it just looks too hard to program - I tried the arturia and that was too hard - its really great sounding in the real hardware - but again , that programing ? too hard
I plan to post a vid on this is programming a sound from the init patch . Its sooo super easy to program you would be surprised. It really is as easy as a knob per function synth. The menu diving is minimal and the layout is cake to get in your head. If you know subtractive synthesis than you know this synth...
@@hanzvolt i am suprised , on the Arturia plugin I found it really hard. It sounds great - I am suprised you say that its easy , I have a yamaha dx7 and that is so hard to program , people used to program them , but it is very hard.
@@justinb9387 I have a DX7IID myself and I know what you mean...the Xpander is a breeze compared to the impossible DX7. Also are you familiar with the free plugin Dexed? Its a vst plugin that has controls assigned to all the internal parameters of the DX7. Giving you full control.
@@hanzvolt oh yes , I have dexed , its the only way to program - there is the dtronics programer ( hardware ) which looks amazing but exp. Glad to hear the Xpander is much easier to use. Its a lovely looking synth from a ' looks ' perspective.
@@hanzvolt I sold a Oberheim SEM this year and I never really liked it - The guy that bought it made an eight voice from it ( he collected 7 more - I was impressed ! the guy owned a studio he rents out and I had to wonder who on earth is going to program an eight voice he has made - it would be so hard to tune )
Friends don't let friends buy Behringer
🤣bwahahaha!!!
No … real friends buy real friends Behringer synthesizers

@@blendragon28 I just checked out some of your jams all jokes aside sounds very cool and looks like you got some pretty awesome gear man. Appreciate the banter man. It’s all love.
What the fuck are you warning me about?
uff just wow. now I need to own one! Thanks!🙃
well ill be posting more goodness from this beauty, some in depth modulation... you will want to sell a kidney to get one, I did...
I have always wanted one of these. I will have one…one day.

... che sborone! Roba da motoraduno... 🤣🤣🤣

The fact that it works proves it's not a Behringer.
😆ouch. No behringer hate please... Without me!!🤣
Thx for sharing this. I love the sound, voice architecture and interface design of the Xpander ever since. Imagine a slightly smaller affordable rev.2 40 years later with some contemporary addons...just dreaming.😶🌫
that would be a dream synth right there!!
Awesome!
Sizzling VCFs and glowing VFDs are a neural warm blanket.
Just warn me if it's Behringer!
😆
Beautiful!
When you say synth nerds, you mean playing notes without any musical meaning?
Yeah pretty much. 😆Playing non musical sounds to demonstrate the sonic capabilities and features. How certain parameter settings affect the sound.
Sounds so freaking good!!
which is exactly why you NEED one!!!
I love this video, and the sounds you can get out of that thing. Nice lights and framing. I just smoked an infused pre-roll and I just laid my phone down and just listened. Think I’ll do it one one time lol
hahaha!!! thanks for the love homie. I just love to share the sounds from these synths
@@hanzvolt my pleasure, this synth has special powers!
Beautiful sounds, nice work.
Thank You!!
Ive never heard a demo of the Xpander that dove into the modulation capabilities. Everyone else just demos brass and string sounds.
I felt that too. Makes the Xpander seem a bit boring. I'm posting a vid tonight that goes into the multimode filter and LFO a bit
this device is really great👌🎧✨🤍💫
