Delta Air Lines A320 steep takeoff ATL- DCA
A320 takeoffs have never been too exciting for me, but this was pretty fun. It was a bit steeper than normal. At least that's how it felt from the back of the plane.

This was my first time flying on an A330NEO and it is pretty nice. As an avgeek, I'm happy that the new rolls royce engines retained that signature growl. Most new generation engines sound pretty boring to me. Anyway, enjoy this clear spring landing into LAX

Yeah
Considering the growl faded away after the thrust reduction I believe this was at or near full power. Otherwise there wouldn't have been this much of a growl. Flaps were also aggressively set for takeoff, as the slats were in the 2nd position. Excellent catch

Only about 30 seconds from engine spin-up to plane rotation. Pretty normal, and still had plenty of runway left at LAX.

1:50 There’s the whale noise that the A220 has become known for: happens on the new geared engines when throttle levers are moved. I often notice it when they fly over my house on approach into SEA.
Do you know the tail number at this point? I’ve been on 4 of these Delta 737-800s N384DA (mfg. 1999) N388DA (mfg. 2000) N3749D (mfg. 2001) N3761R (mfg. 2001, Skyteam livery) If it had the older adjustable seat back IFE screens with the bulky white bezel, it was actually a newer 2001 aircraft. The 1999-2000 ones didn’t have any IFE until much, much later. And this doesn’t count the newer Ex-GOL ones with the MAX-like interiors.
