You will be amaze when you see Lake Tekapo in the summer
I hope to get there in summer one day!
I love the difference in way you critique food. Both are wonderful ❤
I’ve visited France 4 times in Paris and countryside. I wanted to go work nomad style for a month and eat out quite often. Although I understand traveling for a month won’t come cheap but I still want to get good value for two. I’ve been searching Dijon(been here once), Toulouse, Lyon, Paris, and Strasbourg, and with this video I decided to go to Dijon. Was really worried I might get bored if staying here a month but since I’ll be mostly working on my computer, I think 1 month shouldn’t be bad. Thanks for the insight!
It certainly is very small and there's not an awful lot to do but we really enjoyed the slower pace. I would do it again if I could. Still one of my favourites for our month long stay. We stayed in Split, Croatia this year for a month. Also a great spot.
There is nothing worse than being an expert and constantly saying stupid things, he has no idea what he is talking about, someone explained something to him, he stuck to what he thought and he pretends he knows, he doesn't eat olives, he doesn't eat nuts... not even half of the stupid things he says, anyway... it is what it is. And they surely give him Serrano ham somewhere else and he doesn't distinguish it. The pata negra thing is just a distinctive feature, it has nothing to do with serrabo, recebo, iberico, bellota, etc.
😂😂
@@karinandhenward Ignore that fascist prick with the imperial flag in his profile pic. He probably drinks his own pee because he doesn't believe in vaccines. Seréis siempre bienvenidos a disfrutar del jamón y todo lo demás en España.
Viva España 👏🏼
The difference is purely and simply due to the acorns and the free range exercise the iberico pigs enjoy during their lifetime. 100% acorn fed hams are gastro royalty. Jabugo and Gijuelo regions especially.
Bro, wheres is the bread? Is the perfect combination
I like it as is! Don't wanna dilute the goodness with bread!
@karinandhenward you don't dilude anything. It makes it better. I don't know what bread you ate but Spanish bread is perfection. Trust me. You will never come back from that my friend
El jamoncito entra mejor con vino 😊
After experimenting a bit. I like it a little more with beer 🍺
You captured PERFECTLY why I go nuts over a marché fermier! It only we had these in the US. Ours are not even close; it's a huge contrast. It is interesting to me that this is identical to the marché in Saint Nazaire.
I wish we had one here. Sometimes it's impossible to replicate this type of magic elsewhere.
And it’s delicious🇦🇺
Merci pour cette reconnaissance
Thank you Karin + Henward for your interesting summary of Dijon! I’m about to visit (next week). Good to hear that rail travel from Dijon to other towns is so cheap! 🙂. PS it’s nice to find a travel report where the raconteurs have ‘normal’ teeth = in contrast to many US-produced videos where one’s eye is constantly drawn to the blindingly white, over-perfect Colgate teeth on display 😮
So, it cuts the mustard then.
😂
Wonderfully helpful video! I am considering Dijon as a place to retire and really appreciated your assessment!
Most people i know cant stand blue cheese, yet everyone will eat this... you make no sense. Greetings from spain.
A lot of us adore blue cheese, but jamon is another level, only had it once here in Australia, not sure of the grade but was $5 Aus a slice and I’ll never forget the flavour, delicious.
@@babuzzard6470 It probably was the mid range one. It's not worth the effort to export the cheap one, and the Ibérico would be too expensive to serve anywhere that is not a luxury restaurant (after shipping, tariffs and all that). The middle range one is already superb. That difference with ibérico is not huge.
If you get jamon iberico you are well off.
We used our life savings
Eating is fun but people don't take enough time in their evening meal to sit and talk, and spend time with family and friends.
I live in Dijon so I know well that market :-)
Bonjour ! I live in Dijon, I am very glad you liked it :-)
Loved it! Wish I could go back! Karin x
New Zealand? OMG I love your country, I didn't even knew where you both are from! Did you know that a fellow countryman of yours lives here in Spain and has a food channel too? @spainrevealed you have to talk to him BTW, "adobo" is a marinade, every food that is "adobado" is marinated. Adobo has vinegar but it's cured in that and also pimentón, which is not paprika, but spanish pimentón EDIT 2: if you love seafood you have to visit Galicia, or the north of Spain globally, you'll love it, trust me
We have watched Spain Revealed 😊 Galicia sounds amazing, we will put it on our list to visit one day!
The first jamón (the worst one) in a bocadillo 🥪with good bread and grated tomato is perfect Congratulations for the video, not every guiri know the difference between jamón qualities and almost all fall into the common tourist trap, eating mediocre jamón at the price of top notch jamón. This is a video every guiri has to see Guiri = tourist, in a non offensive and funny way 😉
The star should be the beef I believe not the Khao Khao moo
You guys are cool 😎
I'm a kfc lover too, too bad my family isn't
I had KFC in France a few times, they are kinda underwhelming compared to other countries (that have kfc)
I love KFC, especially in Switzerland 🇨🇭
Degustar un jamón 5J, es como levitar, ya puedes morir tranquilo😂😂
As an Ethiopian born and raised here in the Netherlands, I apologize profusely that the Ethiopian restaurant in the diaspora does not serve authentic Ethiopian food. The quantity of food being served is considerably less than what was originally served in terms of quality and testing as well. I observe that many of these small restaurants are in diaspora and serve fake food (mixed with other none original). Simply put, they are defrauding their customers. Regular flour is used to make injera instead of the traditional teff. The lowest-quality meat and canned salads are being served, and the food is not even enough for one individual. However, the entire dish's price would be considerably overpriced. I believe before visiting these eateries, you should conduct as much research as possible. My counsel to those who are not Ethiopian Take your time to discover the best Ethiopian eateries as rated by fellow Ethiopians. Though it would only be one out of ten, you do have some good ones. It would be quite challenging for you to understand as someone who is not Ethiopian. You'll never be able to determine the true authenticity of Ethiopian food in this way. This is theft from the owners of these restaurants, and this is why you will find most of them totally empty. This should be your sign of guidance.
Everything ok at home?
Girl, you know how to eat, i'll definitely give you (at least) that much .
Greek olive oil is the key
We're travelling to Dijon for a month very shortly. Just watched through all of your Dijon videos and really enjoyed. Thanks!
Their is nutmeg in the meat sauce also cinnamon. Potatoes is not traditional. There if u like eggplant the Lebanese have many recipes u would love
A good rendering of the atmosphere. Nice work. Hello from a french.
We talk about this market often, such great produce and atmosphere ❤️
“I like to poke my food because it puts me in touch with the food” 😂😂
you need more study about jamon iberico
😂😂
I don't have a sweet tooth but I am craving this delicious dessert!! 🙂You are both lovely!! Amazing videos!!
This is definitely my new fab channel! Love you two and all the amazing commentary! Fabulous!!
Oh wowza! Delicious!! I love Greece and I love their food so much! Thankfully Vancouver has some amazing Greek restaurants but nothing like eating authentic Greek food in Greece! I love grilled squid!! Love the tantacles too! I live for fabulous Hummus! 🙂The Saganaki is so wonderful! I need squid now!! And Lagavulin! 🙂
Yes to balls!! Lol! I have been to this amazing, delicious place in Athens and I love it - so does my husband, Joel!! Awesome video!! 🙂
I want this!! Big time!! 🙂
*promosm*
KFC in France is so unimaginative and tasteless. Their bread is awful (in France !) And we dont have mash potatoes or gravy amor anything and the burgers sucks. And its pretty expensive.
Delicious goose but bad service at Yat Lok. Rude and hot temper staff just smash plate to your table….good luck to you if you are “lucky” and get serve by the same staff…not sure how they get the Michelin star
As long as you're in the Mediterranean, a review of the best charcuterie would be cool.
All the best charcuterie is in Spain ;)
It's just crazy that they allow the brand to come over but not bring over the main recipe. No watery coleslaw, no mashed potatoes with gravy. All while in Portugal, they DO have American KFC. If you were to get a bucket of tenders, psh, you're better off going to Costco to get a big bag of tenders and do it your self.
Nice video!! The Jamon Iberico is insane!!
well i found next food channel ✌✌👌👌sub for u sir
Cool vid! Looking forward to go Spain and try some Jamón...
Kfc in France is terrible
Karin is lovely , henward is funny and direct but a little bit grumpy
Grumpy and knows nothing about salads and cheeses.. Confucius was wrong... lol
