Hmm it's ok. The audio quality isn't doing her favors here, but I think her voice is actually fine. It's her acting I have trouble with. She shouldn't have done that odd accent that she couldn't keep up with. She looked uncomfortable with the lifts (props for singing through them well!) And I'm not convinced of her character, her portrayal is a lot less quirky and neurotic. It's like she's mimicking Dawn instead of truly stepping into that role. She's not "feeling" or exaggerating it, if that makes sense. I wish she was snappier with her movements. I want to be clear, she didn't do a BAD job, it's just not to the quality I would anticipate from Broadway. This looks like an unseasoned actor's performance at a community theater. I wish she had spent more time in the community sphere before taking this opportunity, because her lack of experience is what's showing. And that's fine, just not in this setting.
