Wow epic boat ride to game! Love it! Oakland is falling apart. Was once a great city. I remember the Canseco, McGwire, Eckersley, Stewart teams fondly. Had great lineup for sure. Sad they are moving.
@@PrimeTimeTravelers the Bash Brothers were the kings of baseball for a long time! Oakland definitely has its rough parts but there are still a lot of good things there. I’ve seen cities like Detroit sink low and make a decent comeback so maybe there is hope for Oakland.
@@TheTolleRoad my Motor City baby! Go Tigers!!! 🐅
Temporarily forgot you were a Detroit fan 😂. Detroit's downtown and the stadium area is actually really cool now. I know you've had to have been to Lafeyette and American Coney!
@@TheTolleRoad Oh yeah been to both a few times even on the same day! Yeah the downtown area is coming back. Love the area around Comerica, Fox Theater, Little Cesars Areana, etc. Also, love the new Gordie Howe Bridge to WIndsor. That thing is HUGE! Jet's Pizza too!
the coliseum is not being torn down
@@thewkovacs316 if I said or implied in the video that there were plans to demolish the Coliseum that was absolutely incorrect. There are no immediate plans to do anything with it.
@@TheTolleRoad i hear they are getting a new tenant.
@@thewkovacs316 oh cool. I could see a soccer team or something like that fitting in pretty well. A lot of people gave me horror stories about how bad the Coliseum was, but I honestly didn't think it was that bad.
I have never been there cool that you got to see it before it is gone. 🙂
@@james82744 yeah, always sad to see something with history come to an end.
Ive been to that dump back in 2014 to see the Raiders. I took the BART over to Oakland. WOW that lady met and worked for Al Davis!
The BART is real convenient there. That is the way we went back. I was trying to remember if Bo Jackson played there or were the Raiders still in LA? I guess Bo at least played baseball there.
@@TheTolleRoad Bo played for the LA Raiders. Also forgot to mention those were some big names on those plaques. Reggie Jackson, Rickey Henderson etc.
Cool boat ride 👍 never knew you could feel safe in Oakland 😱
Well... it was daytime. And he did say that before we went through a couple of other areas. I'm sure they get their fair share of "action" there, but I have been in some other areas across the country that are just as rough or rougher.
I'm starting to see a trend with these ballgames starting with a cool boat ride. But for $4.50 how could you not!? You had some great seats there. Always sad to see a team relocate, especially for the local fans. At least you got to see them in Oakland before they left! Then again, it gives you an excuse to go to Vegas and see them there!!!
Vegas🤔. I think it will be 3 years until they get there though. Sacramento will be a few year pitstop for them. The Uber from downtown to the Coliseum was 4-5 times the price of the ferry!
Very cool boat ride and some massive container ships too! I went to public school too so I remember reading Call of the Wild, also very interesting cabin. $15 for a beer😳but I guess if it’s the last time in the A’s stadium then it’s worth it. And I’m old enough to remember the 1989 World Series quake too😂
At those beer prices all they needed was to give a few drunks some season tickets and then they could've afforded to build a brand new stadium!
very cool that you got to go and see the coliseum
Had to get there before it was too late. Too much history there with the A's glory years and them old Raiders teams.
Neat view 😎 watch out for those pirates 🤪
Always!
Pronounced WU-STER. Idk how to type it. But everyone gets it wrong
I guess I've been saying that one wrong for years. Thanks for the info.
Gorgeous views! 😍
It was!
Cool to see old road trip back also that tower is pretty neat
Roadtrip had to make an appearance for all his fans.

Nice views from the top, got to like the lake views 🙂
Sunset is the best too.
I thought Road Trip Rich retired or put to pasture 😂. Really cool that structure was built pretty recently. I thought you were the captain of the pirate ship based on one of your videos. You need to get those that didn’t say Ahoy back to the plank.
Roadtrip Rich is like a bad penny... never know when he'll turn up again!
Very nice views. Those pirates must not have recognized THE Roadtrip Rich. Eiffel Tower is envious 😂
Maybe they were monk pirates and had taken a recent vow of silence.
Those pirates must not know the world famous Roadtrip Rich and those other two guys riding his coattails 😂
Problem is they probably DO know the world famous Roadtrip Rich.
Those pirates were jerks. How dare they ignore the best traveling trio this side of the Mississippi!
You lose a limb or two and all of a sudden you become too good for the common man I guess.
Those snooty pirates, see if we ever give them in ahoy again! Despite all the rain that we encounter earlier that afternoon, it turned out to be really cool evening!
They just didn't want to share their booty.
Would of been cool to see. Sorry I couldn't make it. Looks like you had a great first day.
Yeah, I think you would've enjoyed this one. Kind of reminded me of that thing in Lima we ran across a few years ago.
Wow what a new event this is. Nice video of the battle and camps! Jeeps from Toledo! Let's go! Thanks for taking me along Tolle! Roadtrip Rich! Yes he is back! Gotta get to Ohio now that he is back! Detective Flatfoot is on the case! UncleHeavy is right the joints will not hold up anymore here either.
🤣🤣 Detective Flatfoot
Wow 🤩 that looks like a cool event. 😃
Really was
$100 for a 10 minutes show?
It is a 55 minute show
Love this stuff! I am a WW2 history buff. This was a great reenactment and loved the narrating Tolle. Cool vehicles especially them Jeeps without A/C 🤣
War really was hell!
That was cool for sure. And finding some liquid refreshment in the German vehicle was a plus 🙂
Excellent job! It's nice to see what the battle actually looked like!!! Rainstorms are never fun, I guess there's always next year!
At least you got to have the announcer talk over you.
🤣
You got some nice shots around the camps and of the battle! Thanks for the invite, I’m definitely going next year. I think we should enlist to defend the funnel cakes and maybe next time I’m around you I’ll know what’s ahead 🤣🤣
🤣 I think you forgot the name of your own channel 🤣
You know they had a lot more callouses back in the day! (Actual video, no movie magic here!...Great stuff!)
Probably a few more broken fingers, too!
did you found Soo line 2719 and would she run my railroad the New York Central.
I believe Bryce could better answer this.
I have an Idea would DMIR 605 be restored for Duluth Would C&O 2736 run New York Central and and Soo Line 2718 run the Boston & Albany too and would LS&I 24 run the Lakawanna for Steamtown.
I’m sure Bryce would know.
It's impressive you traveled back to the 1860's just to watch some vintage baseball!
If it wasn't for that SUV driving in front of me, I might have been able to convince someone of that. 🤣
😂😂
So cool to see vintage baseball. The lemon peel ball. We saw a tournament at the Ohio Village that was sweet. I believe it was called the Ohio Cup
Oh yeah, I think you took ole Roadtrip with you.
Yo, I was on the Black Raven today
@@ThomasMetzger-jw1ri How’d your trip go?
Awesome they fired a real cannon
Salus populi suprema est lex -- "The law is the highest salvation/health/healing of the people." The interesting bit is that the originally saying rearranges it and is in a different tense - "Salus populi suprema lex esto" -- ie, the law _should be_ or _ought to be_. But it could also mean "the law should eat the highest health of the people," so "est" is a lot better way to put it. The other amusing thing is that, Cicero quotes aside, there's a famous picture of the Virgin Mary that's called the "Salus Populi Romana," because it literally was used to tell the plague to leave Rome by processing it through the city and blessing the streets.
Sounds like the law has a dangerous appetite 🤣. Thanks for the translations!
They definitely were snappy dressers back then! It still blows my mind the concept of not playing with a glove. I guess that's what make the one-bounce out make much more sense. The black and white film effect was pretty cool too!
Playing first base and to really, really suck! I wonder if the first guy who trotted out with a mitt was looked at as a genius or a wimp... or both???
Love the old timey baseball game. Pass me some popcorn I'm in..
But leave the gloveless action to the guys with weathered hands!
This actually looks pretty fun! Never knew this version of baseball. Do you get extra points for hitting a car? Liked the old school filter you used.
Cars are always worth an extra point. Two if they are moving.
Always fun watching a vintage baseball game!
That’s pretty dang cool
You’re about to take a ride in a time machine! no balls, strikes out on a bounce and a long foul you’re out… ahhh evolution 😂
It is like the old football players with the leather helmets and no pads.
Amazing finish for your trek! Congrats!
Good run on the series. 😁👊🏼✌🏼
i give it a 2 but to each their own
@@theodorecampbell-z6y fair enough. What spot is your favorite?
@@TheTolleRoad i don't really have a favorite place but i like getting cheesesteaks from the corner store with cheese fries i mean a lot of places are going to say there cheese steak is good in philly but as a customer its more important how they feel about it im glad you enjoyed it it just wasnt worth the hype in my opinion

I suppose if you watched at least a part of every video then you can have your Ohio card back.
@TheTolleRoad watched nearly Every second of them all
@@PrimeTimeTravelers your card has been returned
@@TheTolleRoad woohoo!
It's cool that you ended the series in Dayton. 😁 I'm kind of sad that this series is over. You did a fantastic job capturing all those counties in just 4 days! It's clear you put a lot if research and work into it. It turned out amazing! Great job!!! 👏👏👏
I am kind of glad it is over 😂. Was a fun trip that not too many normal people would ever consider taking.
Saved the best for last.
I could have stretched the last video out another hour or so just talking about all of the famous Sinclair College alum. Buster Douglas for starters.
Cool video series!
Much appreciated! You didn't have to do that though!
Such an amazing flood wall, definitely one of my bucket list items. That’s cool there’s a statute of honest Abe in Dayton, have to check him out when I visit (while eating some Cheeze-it’s😂)
If you get down to Portsmouth to see the flood wall, make your way over to Ribber's for lunch or dinner!
