UNINVITEDDDD!! It is so amazing to watch that piece in real life. That was my first exposure to Alanis’s music. I saw JLP last year and it was breath taking. I wasn’t sure what was going on since I went in unknowing of what was to come besides a “You Learn” clip my dad showed me on YT. He grew up listening to Alanis and he was like “if I’m taking you to a show, it’s gonna be something I like” and holy crap. It was amazing. Words can describe the awe I felt watching the production.

I literally got into the concert of Parade because of Old Hills of Georgia. Because it hits SO hard. It's terrifying and powerful and patriotic all at once. I saw someone compare it to Tomorrow Belongs to Me from Cabaret and... it fits so well it makes my skin crawl.

For The I Love You Song (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), the overall story doesn't matter much as each character's story normally comes with their song. For hers, if you've not seen it, the word is chimerical. Unreal, fanciful. And so she goes into this mental scape where her parents love her, and tell her that, because it's the most fanciful and unrealistic thing she could ever imagine. Which makes it EVEN SADDER.
