    Are you hearing whining sound from your r5m2?

      I do, but I was expecting it based on early reviews. Doesn’t bother me at all, unless it’s determined to be a flaw! 😂

      I do hear the sound that has been mentioned. I'm usually using wireless mics, so it doesn't bother me, but can definitely see why it would bother some people.

      There are many different approaches to autofocus in particular, and I find setup guides a good way to explore the options from serious photographers who’ve put a lot of thought and muscle memory into it. Also interesting to see different choices for portrait vs wildlife/bird photographers - most guides are for one or the other but I shoot all kinds of things.

    I keep my two ad200pro, and one ad100pro( not much power outdoor in sunny day). Ad200pro is best lights becouse is multi functions 😊

    I might eventually get the AD100 just to add it to my AD200Pro and AD600BM but I definitely won't get rid of my AD200Pro. That's a hell no. I get to keep the power AND use the round head magnetic accessories with the SR-1 attachment, which I guess is what you're calling the "bulky attachment." The "bulk" doesn't matter to me because it's still a very small, portable setup. But you do make some good points. Oh, the default, fixed zoom on the AD200's is 35mm.

    Never getting rid of my ad200 pro’s to versatile, with all the accessories for it and its raw power with the Godox AD-B2 double ad200 connector it becomes a 400 with a pretty good modeling light.

      Exactly. The AD200s are the base for a whole bunch of lights now and they're just super fantastic lights on their own.

    AD100 produces more power than AD200 round head? How is it even possible? AD200 round head is rated at 200WS vs 100WS of AD100.

      @jasonbodden8816 Місяць тому

      Keep at least one speedlight in case you ever need a flash on camera or a small light to use in small corners or something, whatever might pop up. Always good to have one in your arsenal.

    I bought the Ad200 with the round head but it does not fit my SMDV softbox though it looks identical to the V1. So have to sell my AD200. ad100 is compatible with my v1 batteries & accessories.

    Been looking to add a ad100 pro to my line up. The ad600pro I have is just too over powering for indoor shoots and bulky. I will most likely use it for the outdoors and the ad100pro for indoor events or shade. I also liking it has a built in fan and zoom capability.

    This has been the best video I've found to answer the why of this flash. I just picked up an AD200, and an AD600. I've been looking at more AD200's, but kept wondering about also using a mix of AD100s and AD200s. This video has been the first to justify the price to me. I keep a speedlight in my backpack, but the AD200 has its own case with modifiers. I could ditch 2 lenses for 2 AD100's in the camera compartment, and get a third in the top compartment without needing to add another bag. Take out the speedlight case, and I could add all the modifiers for the AD100s. I could reconfigure my backpack to take AD200s and modifiers, but using AD100s, I don't have to modify anything, and I can easily go back to carrying more lenses and less lights by just swapping items in the compartments. It also looks like I could just place the AD100 upright with a dome without the need for a light stand or mount in certain scenarios. That would have worked great the other day when I needed to take out the shadows my key light was throwing on the wall. I don't see it replacing my current AD200, but I do see it as adding to what I can do.

      I am going to start learning flash photography. I want a not too heavily priced, lightweight, portable setup that I can take with me wherever I go to cultivate and continue this new hobby of mine. What do you suggest?

    That is really handy to know that it has the zoom function, that makes it more interesting! Thanks for the video! I was looking at the AD300 because of using the same charger as the AD200s I already have, but the AD100 looks very tempting.

    I recently purchased a Canon R5 and my Canon 5D Mk IV is now my backup camera. I have a Sandisk 128GB CFExpress and a 128GB SD cards in my R5. How do I set it up where when I take photos, it stores it in my SD card, then when I take a video it stores it in my CFExpress card either manually or automatically?
