    I have one question for you. How is the depth of the z axis determined? For example, I saw that you had a pen installed instead of a router. Of course, the pen has to barely touch the surface of the paper. How do you make sure the pen will not lose contact with the surface and at the same time does not press too hard onto it to hinder movement? Thanks for the awesome playlist

    2:00, I can imagine mounting the square tubings in that orientation reduces dust and wood chips build up on the turbing. But were there other reasons you did not install them with the sides parallel to ground?

  • @Sam-tg4ii
    @Sam-tg4ii 8 місяців тому

    if you use glue in your wood joints, the result will be sturdy. There will always be some slack in screw joints, especially in the butt joints you are using here.

    How do you stop the chuck from falling or flying off? Honestly, bearings are no big deal. Do a job, replace the bearings. About what... around $10? Expendable material. But a wild chuck can mess up your part or even possibly injure the operator.

    Trying this with a Raspberry Pi 4 with 4gb and not having much luck. I've downloaded the compressed file. However when I go to raspi-config the options you selected are missing. Do I need to use an older version of Raspi OS? I try right clicking on the "ugsplatform" and open with terminal. Nothing happens (and I've waited a very long time) other than the hourglass icon beside the cursor for 10 seconds. Would really love to get my CNC running. Any thoughts?

    Your range puzzles me. My Lectric XP eBike has a 10.8 Ah 48V battery and I get about the same distance before I reach 50% capacity. I suggest you disconnect one of your batteries, fully charge it, and check your range running on just it. You might be burning up power because current is flowing between the batteries rather than into the motor. If that is the case, I would use the switch to select which battery to use at a given time.
