It would be a historic reparation for Capcom to endorse the release of this game as official.

@@Genesis814 Had Capcom released a Mega Drive port back then it would just have been a lazy conversion of the SNES port i.e. running in 256px of width instead of 320, with unoptimal colors use, etc. In comparison, this straight port by CFX looks and sounds much better than what Capcom would have been willing to achieve back then. Now sure, aftermarket releases have it easier in some ways (more time; updated dev tools; no cartridge size restrictions; etc.), but still... Anyway yeah, if that ever happens, this could be seen as a reparation because Capcom definitely dismissed Sega's console back then. The bad joke that is Mega Man: The Wily Wars says it all but it wasn't just about that.

You're thinking of Nishiyama "Piston" Takashi (西山隆志). He created the original Street Fighter game while working at Capcom, and Fatal Fury on the Neo-Geo.

Dentro de las limitaciones de cada consola, también creo que el port de SNES es mejor, no por la consola sino por el desarrollador.

What's wrong with the Samurai Shodown Mega CD port?

​​@@kathleendelcourt8136Okay, the Samurai Shodown port isn't that bad but it could have taken better advantage of the hardware with the ASIC chip that allows it to scale and rotate and for some strange reason they didn't include Earthquake, in addition to poor PCM quality.

Este port y el de Samurai Shodown para Sega CD los hizo Funcom, si ves el historial de juegos de ese estudio no esperes nada, también los juegos de Funcom originales son de mala calidad. Yo no me quejaría mucho del audio, más bien del pobre uso de paleta de colores, pocas animaciones y bastantes tiempos de carga largos, si ya no quisieron hacer un port a Mega Drive fue por que simplemente no fue popular en Japón y JVC apoyó bastante al Mega CD así que entre ese apoyo invirtió en esos ports mediocres de Neo Geo desarrollados en el extranjero, si te preguntas en dónde, Funcom es de Noruega.

Dentro de las limitaciones de cada consola, también creo que el port de SNES es mejor, no por la consola sino por el desarrollador. Me hubiera gustado ver a Takara haciendo sus ports para Sega CD.

​@@Genesis814Pues tampoco Takara hacía los ports de Mega Drive y Super NES de los juegos de Neo Geo, también contrataban a diferentes estudios para hacer esos ports, Takara solo los publicaba.

I didn’t mean it like that man, I meant that it sucked that it never got finished, I know you worked for free on that and pretty much what you put out was enough as a free playable demo, but I still would love to play the build you had that included episode 3, And what’s to say you couldn’t get paid for your work? ID just allowed the original devs who worked on Doom SNES to make a new enhanced port available thru LRG, it’s all hypothetical but you could find the right channels to get this released
