    What size jig head do you use with that Bobby Garland 3 inch

  • @justdoingitjim7095
    @justdoingitjim7095 24 дні тому

    So, basically you're just using the jigs to get your minnow down to where the crappie are and then pushing them around the trees looking for a bite. When I think of "trolling" I think of pulling artificials (Jigs, spoons or crankbaits) behind the boat, while watching the graph to see when you pass over fish.

    Wow just seeing this out of the box ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.

    You don’t need forward facing sonar. If there are no crappie. Tournament fishing is for the young. If your 20 your too old Wannabees.

    I have tried to explain this for years!!! I use exactly the same method. I prefer balsa spring floats that dont have tall tops on them. They are popular here. A 5/8” or 3/4” oval for 1/16 oz, a 7/8” oval for 1/8 oz.😊

    I'm sure I have every color Bobby Garland makes. If not, dang near. I always start with all black. Then just go down the line up haha. I have a box that is only bobby garland that has at least of 1 of every color already rigged, makes it easy. Never change the style of bait, just the color. The baby shad is the most prolific plastic bait ever made. Imo Did have to try the itty bitty swimmers, they are fast becoming a favorite though.

    You literally just bridged the gap in my head of how to livescope. Picking up my new 22 predator hybrid next week rigged with livescope and a full Garmin setup. I know how to fish very well, tactics, tackle, species etc. From catfish to crappie. But I'm a rookie at boat control and I'm so glad I found this video because it simply makes sense. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this one. And yes boat control is so overlooked. Coming from a angler of 30+ years that's caught all kinds of trophy fish I had no idea how to begin because it's always been from kayak, bank, or my buddies boat. This again was extremely helpful. I'm subscribing and look forward to more basics that many anglers overlook.

      I use the basspro version n kill them when the crappie are in(under a bobber about 2 ft).. I usually keep one on a pole from spring till mid summer.. the bass like them too after the crappie are done. They can be picky fucks tho.. they only really like a certain color in my water, and sometimes ya have to fuck w the retrieve. They really seem to like the Bait doing a pendulum swing action... this also works while fishing under boats in a marina w out a bobber.

    • @brianpierson7708
      @brianpierson7708 2 роки тому

      Yea well draining water understandable but if water drains out that also means the oil will also and that mineral oil the way he pored it in there would be everywhere in the boat your bag boxes in the boat and all over the carpet and god forbid u have aluminum boat without carpet you would bout kill your self with that oil on the aluminum your foot slip and you go ass over head and brake a rip or worse unless you have a plastic tube that you have just to keep plastic boxes in so you don’t have the mess everywhere not only in the boat but all over the inside your truck your resale value just drop 10-20 K$ on it
