if verbal communication is not enough, the security guards in Canada are NOT allowed to touch anyone, even the bad guys. In Canada, security has a common citizen's power that all. Nothing more... and Of course they are not carrying any tool on the belt.... Pathetic..... Considering they also do night shifts, it can get really risky

Im sorry but I have to make this comment. Just becaise you guys are trying to be professionals. Im not the grammar police, but im pretty sure thay "effect" is the result of a cause. "Affect" is what happens when something is influenced by an outside source. I could be wrong but I think the title should be "affect" instead of "effect" lol. 😅

General policy across the industry is simple You do not go hands on unless there is an immediate threat of severe bodily harm or death to you the client/associate or customer. If they're throwing tissue boxes at the clerk that does not meet the requirements for use of force even though that is a battery It's not going to cause severe bodily harm. The legal terminology used is forcible felony. It constitutes any felony that a normal civilian would be justified in using deadly force in self-defense or defense of others. That is the minimum requirement for any physical use of force by security. Anything less opens up the client company The security company to liability for any injuries sustained including death as a result of your use of force it opens up the officer to both the civil and criminal liability for their actions. To give a very well known example putting your knee on the wrong part of the body even during a justified detainment could land you in prison and cost the company $millions.

Here is the feedback I will give the last things you’re saying in the video need to be the first things you say give us the information that’s helpful don’t give us the scenarios the storytelling and all that is fine at the end but don’t do that upfront because I’m having to sit through 12 minutes off of this is what happened to this guy you know I taught at the police Academy for years and one of the things I hated about recurring training or continuing education hours was this experience officers wanting to tell all their stories while they’re there extremely valuable experiences absolutely. But they have very little bearing on the training I’m trying to give, which is a clear understanding about how to handle an edge to weapon assault.

Sometimes, the client and their employees, or even the online viewers of video footage like this - and who have never worked as a security officer, just don't understand the limitations of many security officers. I've heard questions ranging from, "Can you arrest them?", to "Can you write tickets?", and I was even asked, "Didn't he see the badge?!" after a client heard my story about an encounter with the State Highway Patrol and myself receiving a speeding ticket on my way to work. As if we were brothers-in-arms, and he should have given me a pass. Each client's needs vary between jobsite. I was a glorified receptionist for most of my security career: unarmed, transferring phone calls, signing in/out visitors, passing out badges, logging any incidents... quite literally the IMAGE of "security," but THEY SEE a BADGE, and that... to them... makes things limitless. Also, unarmed security, like with the gentleman in this video, is downright dangerous sometimes. I actually took Private Security Firearms training while I was currently working as unarmed (on my own and not through that employer). One of the law enforcement veterans of our class told me boldly, "I would NOT take any unarmed security job! If an intruder ever came to your facility with a firearm, they will SHOOT YOU FIRST because you are the first line of contact!" Too his point, everyone else in that IT and consulting company were behind secured, key card accessible doors, while I was the sitting duck with a phone... alone, at the lobby front desk.

✞We all need to repent and turn to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He Loved us enough to carry a 300-pound cross and have His hands and feet nailed to it. He loves us all far more than we can imagine. It is through Him and not by our works that we can live and love. God bless.✞❤

Jesus Chriat loves you. Look at eyewitness testimony of Jesus Christ's death and how they claimed He rose from the dead. We have no photos or videos of George Washington, yet we know he existed because of the written accounts of his life. Same as any historical figure. The eyewitness of Jesus Christ's life and death claimed He rose from the dead. Don't take my word for it. Take theirs. Jesus loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you. God bless you and have a wonderful day.

That’s at my house you can’t have that. I don’t know if you’re a felon you can’t have my gun. I bought that stuff before I ever worked with them as well. 😂

bro, guys, works all the time. also sounding like a meek female works all the time. it's less threatening. but one thing that works that needs practice is dog barks technique. a dog barks and you bark back and switch to calm. something about psychology that triggers barking people think twice because they know you are also not fucking around. it's like a psychological smack in the head. then switch to concerned and understanding manner. but as a diclaimer, this requires timing and practice. when people know they can walk all over you, they will know they got you. then you're screwed. showing them you got your emotions under control is power. i don't suggest this for people who don't have the skill to do so.

I like saying smth like "I'm sorry sir, but management has asked that you leave", or management doesn't want non- employees/members here...something like that. If /when they refuse, then telling them that if they leave now, it looks better for them because they can do it on their own. If they don't leave, then I have to call the police and then things don't look as good for them.
