Yes, now that you mention it. White people perm their hair to get curls. Black people perm their hair to straighten out the curls. Like I said in the video, there is nothing a black person does that white people don't do and nothing white people do that black people don't do. The differences are between individuals, not races. I have actually done quite a bit of research into fasting and am more than capable of safely doing 10 days to 2 weeks. More than a month I think I would seek medical supervision, but I have plenty of fat reserves. In these times of great abundance most people don't realize that fat is stored fuel and stored nutrients for hard times. The longest fast on record was around 382 days long, and the man lost over 250 lbs in that time. It is quite safe. In fact, fasting has been linked to longer and healthier life. Agreed, "Fasting is good for physical, mental, and spiritual health." You're doing great fasting for 2 days. On the third day you are supposed to hit the peak of benefits, and they slowly diminish after that. I don't usually feel hungry after the first day, but most people stop feeling hungry after the third day. It's all a matter of how fat adapted you are. Try doing a very low carb diet for 60-90 days, then try just 24 - 36 hr fasts. If you feel good with that just keep adding a day at a time until you can do longer fasts. I only do 10 day or longer fasts once or twice a year. 36 hrs to 80 hrs is safe to do 2 - 4 times a month if you have fat reserves and eat only highly nutritious foods when you are eating. Five days is safe once a month if you are healthy, have the fat reserves and eat ONLY nutritious foods when you are eating. If you are on medications you should consult a doctor familiar with the effects of fasting. Most doctors are not properly trained in nutrition or fasting. If you are on insulin or other diabetes medications you may have to reduce or even stop those. Even going on a very low carb diet may make it impossible to continue taking those medications. I AM NOT A DOCTOR! You should always consult a qualified physician before making any changes to your medications. Just FYI The longest fast on record was 382 days, under medical supervision. The body stores an abundant supply of most nutrients and fat stores all the fat soluble vitamins. Only by letting your body access those fat stores do you free up those vitamins to be used. Human beings are very well adapted to going long periods of time without food and our current condition of constant abundance is unnatural and unhealthy. Sometimes our body needs time to clean house and repair, something it can't do while we are constantly eating. I really do appreciate your genuine concern.
