Budgeting in 2024 is Impossible

I need to shift my mindset and find a way to boost my income in a way that’s sustainable and that I enjoy. Entrepreneurship seems like the only path forward.

    Interesting video, although the assumption of 15% food spending is quite biased, since it depends on the result itself (how many times you order). A person who orders from these apps once a day would be on a higher ratio than 15%

    • @pedramesmaeelzadeh2367
      @pedramesmaeelzadeh2367 Місяць тому

      Hi! Thanks for the comment. The 15% comes from how much you should spend not how much you will spend based on your habits. I calculated that too, but the fact that they’re over a 15% spending to income ratio means they cannot reasonably afford using the app daily.

  • @jaydesimone4297

    Is once a day realistic? Wouldn’t once a week be more reasonable?

    • @pedramesmaeelzadeh2367

      Yeah it really just depends. I did the example based on once daily and 3 times per week in this video. I get your point though, I’m sure it’d be much more affordable if you can limit yourself to only when you need the convenience

    Thank you for your vulnerability, Pedram. You’re not alone. You have an emotional understanding and sensitivity that is strong. I relate so much to how you’re feeling, as the dips in my life look much like what you’re expressing. And I’ve felt that frequently during the last 2 years. Your financial situation may not be excelling, but I wouldn’t go as far to say that you’re broke as you thankfully have financial assets that you can leverage. Which, is like me too. I found it so empowering and beneficial last year to get a roommate. I made $700 a month renting out a room of my apartment. It meant having to change my life slghtly, but allowed me to be in the green financially and not getting into debt. As a musician who loves to have friends over to write music, it was not easy to boldly jump into, but it was absolutely worth it on every level. I loved the experience more than being alone, even if I was not paid a penny. I met with 3 people until the right person came along. If you generate an income like that, you could invest in a financial advisor, life coach, and counselor. Even all three of those individuals could likely be afforded with the money generated from a rented room. Having structure, support, and accountability on the goals you set can help steer and propel you forward into the better place that you know is destined for you. You’re not stuck, you’re just on the precipice of something great- though it requires risk and sacrifice of comfort to achieve. False comfort will lead to false joy. The chorus of the song “Backwards Kingdom” by Sam McCabe shares this idea really well. That something of value will always cost something. That weakness is strength. That living is dying, yet in the dying there is the gain. You may have an expectation on what joy and purpose is for your life, that could actually be false. Unattainable by the means at which you anticipate to find it. Consider a roommate. Consider submitting to a team of people who can help pull you up and out of the muck you’ve found yourself in. Your not stuck, your just on the cusp of something great. That’s something I really believe for you. That something great will cost you. And your heart’s sacrifice is worth the price of thriving in true joy, which is purposed for you.

    You need some way to catch and hold the attention of a lot of people. No attention, no money. How can you showcase the results of your skills and knowledge to draw the fascination or interest of others? If you as a person are your brand, then you must have a clearly visible passion for your work, and a product/service that some people in this world don't want to live without. Before trying to figure out ways to sell yourself to others, you need to be unequivocally in love and keen with your work, and what know every detail of what sets you apart from others in the same field of work. Just start small. You don't need a business plan if your going to be a solopreneur, just stay out of debt. Be flexible and take time to explore your market/potential customer base. Learn as much as possible about what your potential customers' struggle with, maybe launch a podcast, do interviews and start building an online brand and audience. Give more value and charge less at first. This will draw enthusiastic customers to you by word of mouth. As word of mouth spreads and referrals increase over time, such that demand is exceeding your ability to supply, then you can gradually raise rates. Lastly, if you choose to do something just for the money, you will probably quit when it gets hard. It's so important to feel fulfilled from the work itself, regardless of the pay. Sustainable success requires investmenting. Investments don't always make quick returns. Do you have what it takes to keep working and not get paid for long periods of time? It requires real vision, passion and sacrifice. You must be willing to take a calculated risk and not expect much from it. You must have a dream you are reaching for. Do whatever it takes to achieve your ideal life, even if that means making mistakes, wasting time and getting reality checks along the way!

    You're tired because you don't have any goals, you're tired because maybe you don't exercise. Jump rope, running, calisthenics, none of those require a subscription. Nutritionist is a great field but has also many roads. Whom do you want to be of help, all people, old people, young people, overweight people? Put out a word about it and go find them and do it for free at first if they allow you to record so you can have content. How is your energy spent? Thinking about women, video games any other vices? Put your energy to work, it's a daily battle to fight for what is good for us like something is fighting us against achieving the best for ourselves. I always wanted to hear this one thing on youtube from someone and I finally heard it and it might work for you too; it goes like this: "if your intelligence doesn't solve the problem of living a good and happy life then it's not that intelligent" I know I'm smart but clearly not putting it toward where it matters. Well this matters, right here... It's a shame to be a fully capable and healthy young man and not take it to the fullest good potential, it'll be good for everyone. Oh and yeah this nonsense of working for little money has to stop. Try to find something that pays better or put your skills to work asap!

    Life is about balance. I went to school online and completed a two year degree in one year. I got a job in Canada as a Peace Officer making almost 60$ per hour. I only work 34 hours per week. I spent my time fostering a longterm relationship, 14 years, with someone I love who also has a government job. We have no kids, double income, our own home, and I have no stress. We both drive nice cars, we have motorcycles, and there is a perfect work life balance. I feel like I work part time, but I make more than 100k per year. Chasing money or fixating on any singular aspect of life is the only way to achieve greatness, but it comes at a severe cost. An easier and more certain route to success is by splitting your time equally into health, finances and romance/spirituality. I didnt want to go to school for 4-10 years because the cost/benefit didnt make sense. Would I make more? Yes! But I would make less for the entirety of my schooling. Could I do better and apply to be a cop? Yes! But at what cost? I love my job! I dont work nights. I get all acknowledged holidays off. I dont go to mentally taxing calls and see the absolute worst parts of society. I chose to cap my own success and protect myself from the burdens of that success, and I dont regret it at all. Maybe thats a loser mindset. And if so, that makes me a very happy loser.

    You're living paycheck to paycheck, which means you need to either increase your income or reduce your living expenses. Since you've mentioned that you don't want to trade more time for money (which is a terrible mindset), the focus should be on cutting costs. From what I see, your biggest expense is your house. While you consider it a blessing, it seems to be more of a burden. I believe selling it, even at a loss, could relieve your financial stress. This would free you from living paycheck to paycheck and allow you to start saving money. Consider grinding it out for a year or two by living in a more affordable apartment. This way, you can save money, and maybe even pick up a second job to help you get ahead financially. Invest in yourself by acquiring valuable skills that can boost your earning potential. Additionally, consider changing your mindset. While Elon Musk's extreme example of working over 120 hours a week might not be for everyone, it highlights the importance of hard work, especially in the early stages of building wealth. Initially, you have to put in the effort, but later in life, all that hard work will allow your money to work for you.

    HEAVY NEGATIVES. If you can bench 130, put 10-20% more on there and go up to 150-155. Slowly lower it to your chest as slow as possible, then have your spotter literally lift it off of you. You get 10 seconds on the first rep, then aim for that on the second. Go until it’s literally falling on you and you can’t lower it for 3 seconds. Do 1 or two sets of this a week. Find ways to over load exercises and focus on the eccentric(negative portion of the exercise). Heavy squats, heavy deadlifts, heavy DB pull overs. Hey there, you really doesn't sound good! I think I've been in a similar place. What I'm really missing listening to you - is some kind of acceptance and self-compassion. There sure are good reasons, why you are at the that place right now, and why you feel that way. Do reach out for a doctor or a therapist. It's not you fault. You don't have to push yourself anymore. Regards from germany! <3

    Well, the U.S. blows, first and foremost. It's set up to keep you in debt. Every single aspect. My advice is to sell everything and go abroad. The U.S. is a joke of a country designed to keep you trapped and working long, unfulfilling hours. Going through the motions is not a way of life. And it's sad to say, that's the reality of 90% of Americans.

    We are all stuck in a system where instead of reaping the benefits that technology should give us (lower prices+more purchasing power), that is stolen from us plus more through money printing. If people start adopting a Bitcoin standard, they will realize that prices will continue getting lower in Bitcoin terms and their purchasing power will increase forever. It just takes a switch. I would recommend watching some of Jeff Booth's videos. He can explain these concepts better than I ever will be able to 🤣🤣

      Out of the 7 millionaires I know, none are tradesmen. Go learn a trade if that's what you're into and a safe steady income, don't go in for the money.

    Hey man im 24 and im moving out to a camper in the woods. Ive given up trying to achieve someone elses dreams. Im struggling making relationships with people and honestly, id consider myself a success if I just had a group of people who genuinely loved me. Try not to see yourself as lesser than the people who are around you. As isolating as life can be, yourself is all you really have. That love you can offer yourself may be the way out of the dark clouds. Acceptance my friend. There are no expectations of you. Let them go. With love, dude. Peace.
