CCBO Peru: Strengthening Recyclers’ Associations and Local Systems for Cleaner Cities and Seas
In Paita, Peru, individuals working in the recycling sector are necessary to the city’s waste management efforts-collecting plastics and other waste for recycling and keeping them out of the environment. Learn how recyclers, like Felicino Chamba, are leading the way for cleaner cities and seas, with the support of Clean Cities, Blue Ocean. With USAID’s support to help formalize and strengthen recyclers’ associations, engage community members, and improve local collection and processing logistics, Paita has increased their recycling rates and is looking toward a more sustainable future.

since our 2015 nationwide cleanups their plastics from coke are pollutiong and clogging our drainage and in islands the plastics are there in the island for more than 20 years still there in the island
better coke to bring back glass bottles and stop plastics bottles
